The hospitality was warm and welcoming , and the room was lovely too
There is just one point which could be addressed, cooked breakfast wasn't hot at all , maybe if the plates were warmed it could have made it better , but that is the only drawback of ourlovely stay , thank you
lovely setting, comfortable, clean room and friendly, helpful staff.
Peace and quiet own doors to own room not too big a room, small and quaint ! Will be back !!
The staff were friendly, the room was good especially for the money. The breakfast was really good. It's a beautiful place and I can recommend it to anyone. We really enjoyed our stay. With it being a wedding I awoke the next day feeling a little bit.. worse for wear. The staff had no issue letting me stay in the room an hour after checkout time.
staff, cleanliness, location, food
shower was rubbish, tv too small and in wrong place in the room
Value for money in a great location. Good breakfast
the drive from London :(
Combination of location and very friendly service. We didn't know this part of the country very well, but we are now eager to return. They've done Central Lancashire proud.
The staff were very friendly & helpful & the food in Fitzys was excellent
From about midnight until 4 am there were people shouting screaming and swearing In the corridor outside our room, someone let a fire extinguisher off and then there were people fighting which resulted in the police being called.
Bed was amazing Food was amazing Breakfast was scrumptious
The hotel was lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice and spacious, lovely bathroom, all very clean and fresh.
Beautiful location and a good breakfast on the 2nd day .
Towels were very hard - so much so they hurt ! Toilet roll was the cheapest possible ! Bed was very small and curtains let light through so awake very early . Room was very small .
Comfortable rooms lovely location
Breakfast was not up to usual standard
Laid back friendly staff Clean rooms Beautiful views
Country house character, wood panelling, food, friendly staff, value.
Great breakfasts, food and friendly, helpful staff.
Nothing not to like.
Lovely view from front of building
Everything .we stayed in lodge as we had our dog with us was superb.
Nothing at all
We loved the location, and had we booked earlier we might have had a room with a stupendous view. Spacious room, generous breakfast, freshly cooked and pleasant service
Dining in wasn't an option, as there was a very noisy evening event which virtually took over the hotel, especially as the weather was warm and windows and terrace were open. We realise, after several similar experiences, that groups are how hotels make money, but it's B&B from now on for us, just for the peace and quiet
I stayed in the lodge which was very comfortable
It rained just as we were ready to go upto reception. It would have been nice to have been supplied with a brolly in the room. There were plenty in reception for the walk back.
easy booking 2 hours before arrival. Steak night we enjoyed with free bottle of wine and service good
Only good comment I have for this hotel is the Reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Decor was dated. Did not eat in the bar for evening meal as all you could smell was stale grease fat. Very few people staying so was concerned about how fresh any food stuff would be. My concerns were justified as breakfast was terrible . Did not opt for a cooked meal as simply not happy with the cleanliness of the establishment. Dread ed to think what the actual kitchen would be like. Even the coffee and toast were tasteless. Bar area was grime. Dust on the windowsills. I think the photographs and reviews are very misleading, the nice conservatory is obviously reserved for weddings. I do hope you get outside caterers for such events. We had paid for 2 nights but left after the first night, we did not wish to stay any longer than we had to at this place.
Very friendly welcome and spacious room with a lovely view.
Bathroom floor wet and slippy.
Staff were exceptional, friendly and efficient. Room was comfortable with a good bed and facilities were also good. Food was varied and well-cooked, both at breakfast and dinner.
Nothing. Really liked this hotel.
The location was fantastic with beautiful views. The building and grounds were superb. Helpful staff. Easy to find. Very quiet and peaceful.
The carpet in the room was very tired and stained.
nice peaceful location, great bar food
