Very friendly and helpfull nothing was any trouble excellent breakfast would deffinatly go again.
Location was ideal for town centre and for canal as my husband was on a course on a narrow boat.Breakfast was very good.
Bed was meant to be a double but didn't seem to be, I didn't sleep very well.
Everything was fabulous. We stayed in foom 4, very comfy bed, well laid out with loads of room and the little touches were amazing; luxury biccies, a little china holder for your tbags, scrummy hot chocolate and wine glasses and even though we were at the front traffic noise was no problem and didn't disturb our sleep. Amazing huge bathroom with plenty of storage space, hot water and luxury toiletries. Breakfast was delicous with a great selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, cooked food and homemade jams. It's in a perfect location, only a short walk to the town centre and very easy to find. But the best thing about staying there and what made our weekend is the owner, she is so friendly, chatty and happy to help; a really lovely lady.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
The hostess Debbie, such a friendly, lovely person. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms were lovely and big , spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfy. It was old fashioned decorated, which I loved and breakfast was served in a quaintly , old fashioned dining room. Everyone was friendly and breakfast was ample and a good start to our day. I will definitely be going back to this hotel again !
Nothing at all !
made very welcome, near to town, would stay here again.
littlte bit nosey from road noise.
Clean comfortable room, fresh cooked breakfast.
- good location only 10 minute walk from town centre - cleanliness of room very good - staff friendly and welcoming - great tv and free wifi access in the guesthouse/room - tea & coffee in the room replaced regularly
- we were in a small, hot room right at the top of the house (small wardrobe, lack of storage space for luggage etc) - we didn't realise that the guesthouse was right next to a busy junction - which meant a noisy night's sleep if the window was open (which it needed to be due to the warm temperature of the room!) - the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable (particularly set underneath) and alternative in wardrobe drawer was no better - the bedroom was cleaned very well each day but we had to ask for fresh toilet rolls every day - shower leaked from one corner of the bath which meant water ended up all over the bathroom floor
Very friendly hostess; excellent breakfast, clean room and bathroom; close to town centre
Hostess friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Dining room very pleasant. Although this guesthouse was full, there was no noise from other rooms or guests. Guesthouse very conveniently situated.
I found it very difficult to control the temperature of the water in the shower. Our bedroom and en suite were on the top floor, and the flow of water in the shower could change suddenly, without warning, from cold to very hot or vice versa.
The landlady was lovely with typical Yorkshire hospitality
Breakfast needs a makeover
WiFi access, though we had to go downstairs to get online. Excellent breakfast, very friendly and helpful hostess Parking, though you have to get in early to get one of the two Places. Close to town centre to walk. Adjacent to Tesco
Absolutely nothing on the negative side
The friendliness. the facilities, and the little touches - china mugs, biscuits, wine glasses and much more in our room.
Debbie was a great host, very welcoming. It is in a great location and we aim to visit again next year.
Nice welcome and good breakfast
Cleanliness in drawers and wardrobes. Carpets need a freshening up
Exceptionally well-appointed bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Well provided hospitality tray. Good view from top floor window. Generous breakfast in pleasant surroundings.
Traffic noise, but it didn't keep us awake even with window open.
Well located in relation to town centre and railway station. Clean self contained room. Good breakfast to set you up for the day. Friendly place in pleasant market/canal town.
Close to town, bed really comfy with good room facilities and the breakfast was plentiful. Loved the ceiling fan in Room 2.
Staff were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was good, room and bathroom were very clean. Beds comfortable, good night sleep.
No WiFi signal in the room.
The location was excellent just outside the centre. Owner very friendly and accommodating .
Comfy bed. Noisy rd tho. Shower ok if your 4ft tall.breakfast small no beans or mushrooms. Location great owner lovely woman b&b do with update she will get there
Noisy rd probably be ok if you get rear bedroom.
Everything went like clockwork. Warm welcome on arrival, very comfy room, welcome tray refilled daily, Debbie adapted the breakfast menu to suit her guests's request. No complaints at all.
Land lady was really nice and really easy to talk to was given privacy and left alone .... Breakfast was lovely
Friendly, comfortable nicely decorated rooms of which I had two to choose from. Lovely view from my window. Great breakfast selection. Just brilliant for a b&b and the rooms were very big. Great location, 5 min walk to the town, close to the station, I walked to and from with my suitcase. Loved it.
The location of the highfield guest house is very good. It's just a short walk into the center of Skipton. We were able to park our car on the road outside which was good. Our room was clean and comfortable. Not a bad breakfast too.
The decor was very dated and tired.
