The room was clean and warm, which was ideal for us. The breakfast was lovely, lots choice and helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel however on the second morning (Sunday) a church group were singing in one of the conference rooms below our room. It was very loud, you could barely hear yourself think. I believe that if we had been prewarned of this we would not have been so irritated. |

The staff were friendily and breakfast was good. There was no Hot water in the bath and the hot tap to the wash hand basin was tempramental. There was a delivery truck making a real din at 7:00 am on a Saturday morning and the rear court yard/carpark made a couple having an arguement at 7:30 am even louder. |

We chose the hotel because it was within walking distance of the University. The breakfast was very good. Noise from the road both traffic and late night revellers. Very dirty net curtains in both the bedroom and bathroom. |

Close to Southampton university. We ate at the trendy restaurant next to the hotel, Cena; it was good if a bit pricey (and not suitable for young families I would say) but they offered 10% off the bill when we confirmed we were staying at the hotel. The unpleasant smell in the rooms (ours and our children's) - Damp? unfortunately it spoiled my experience. |

Location of hotel was very convenient and room for comfortablt furnished. Adjoining restuarant was excellent in terms of food and good value for money. Heating controls in the hotel did not seem to be working properly - temperature was too hot! |

The room was really well presented and the hotel staff were extremely friendly. It was a really good size room and had a sofa area which was a nice change. The hotel was in a really good position and had free car parking. The buffet breakfast was excellent and catered for all different tastes. The room that we stayed in was noisy. We were in room 6 over the bar and could hear music until gone midnight. The hot tap in the room did not work properly and unfortunately our TV broke when we arrived. This was reported to the staff and they did log this down to be looked into. |

Staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to help. Toilet flush was broken (although it did work) and bathroom fan very loud. There was only one night cup in the bathroom. Despite these little things, the room was clean and comfy. |

The helpfulness of the staff was excellent My first room had a number of problems including a low, non-adjustable shower head, a trickle from the bath hot water tap and a non-working phone. However, the staff moved me to another room as soon as they were notified of the problems. |
