The staff was very helpful when I asked to change rooms due to a party going on in there hall. There breakfast was one of the best English fry ups I've ever had from a hotel. The only let down was it wasn't as close the the shops as it said it was but other than that it was a good stay
How fare we had to travel to the shops. Also the restraint next door we was told to just turn up in there. You need to book a table but very nice food
Ideal location for our visit ...within walking distance of the venue
Staff very friendly, spacious and clean room.
No free wifi available, key card not working and chewing gym in my spy hole on door!!!
Easy access from where we planned t go but a bit of a walk from the town center but that didn't bother us. Friendly staff.
Wifi was down
Noisy - heard the road all night as window not properly glazed. Lack lustre place. Think Alan Partridge...
It is very cute hotel, that is close to Southampton University, nice room. Comfortable bed and warm blankets, good regulated heater made me feel like at home. Good safe box. Very good tidy service. Also I liked the orange cat who came to my room in the evenings to lay near the heater. Every day tea bags and milk in the room. Great breakfast, a lot of dishes, everything was very tasty, I liked the most a triangle dish from potato, and croissants with coffee.
Very thin walls I could hear how a neighbor boiled water for tea in the next room. No fridge.
It provided everything that we required for this trip
Easy to find. Friendly, helpful staff. Lovely room. Lots of choice for breakfast.
No restaurant facilities in the evening, however lots of places to eat nearby.
Few tea bags and no biscuits in room
Easy to find Convenient to the town
No restaurant - although the one recommended next door is good if a little pricey
This hotel is ideally placed for easy access to the university. It is also pretty close to the airport, so was ideal for us. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a buffet, and scrambled eggs were cooked to order so much better than the usual hotel variety.
My only criticism is that the rooms were far too hot, and the thermostats on the radiators did not work.
Had all the basics covered (good breakfast, comfortable bed, clean, quiet, enough parking). Has a visiting cat called Barty - doesn't go into the rooms but scouts out friendly faces to say hello to
Ground floor room with window over the car park.
Nice accomodation, short drive from town centre and amenities
Staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly, we didn't arrive until late but straight away they offered us loads of recommendations for tea ad even offered us plates and cutlery if we wanted to order a take away! The wifi was great and we had a very good nights sleep. The complementary breakfast in the morning was also lovely. Overall it was a lovely stay.
The hotel is very friendly. We asked to change our room to a quieter one and it was done in a minute! and so friendly about it too. Lovely staff throughout hotel.
Friendly, helpful staff Close to bus route between town centre and Wessex Lane Halls Great breakfast
Really good value for money. Friendly and efficient staff. Great breakfast. Good location for university.
Needs a proactive maintenance programme. Latch on window broken and extractor fan did not work, but was then repaired.
Quiet, good breakfast selection, Friendly staff
staff very friendly and helpful - almost anticipating our queries. room tidy, clean and comfortable bed very comfortable. good bath and shower breakfast good choice of continental and cooked and fresh fruit. the cat!
it is well placed for the university and a range of small cafe's/ restaurants nearby
Friendly staff Warm atmosphere Flexible and helpful Nice room Good bed Quiet Good Wifi Location is excellent for the University
Nothing much. Building is a little aged (narrow corridors and stairs), but not obtrusively so. Location is unexciting
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Arranged a taxi for us so very helpful!!!!
warm rooms, comfy bed, friendly staff, great choice of breakfast and helpful breakfast staff...would stay here again no problem.
The location is excellent. Friendly staff and very welcoming.
Upon arrival the staff were wonderful. Room was very comfy, beautifully updated bathroom. Breakfast staff were friendly and attentive. Will stay there again for sure
