Choice of self catering continental breakfast or for a little bit more a full English. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen area for a snack at any time. Large comfortable bed.
Wet room. Traditional bathroom would have been preferred with option of a soak in the bath.
Excellent and friendly hosts, bed very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The Wi Fi worked with no problems at all
Ideal for 1 night stopover, pleasant surroundings.
Sound of passing traffic surprisingly through the night and the dogs barking from 4am onwards. Reception for mobile and iPad very poor.
Lovely location, lovely food and the pub next door does wonderful food. Very pleasant couple, friendly welcome and a beautiful location
Staff member was good, location is on a farm with animals you can see. Good breakfast.
This is not for people who like animals, few hairs about the place which would be expected!
A very warm welcome. A small kitchen area, with bread, butter, jam etc. and a seating area. Bed was a kingsize, very comfortable Room very clean Lovely view!
Hosts were friendly and provided a warm homely atmosphere. Great surroundings which made uou feel relaxed
Proximity to local areas Lovely setting
We loved the barn conversion which had three bedrooms all with ensuits as we were a group of six adults, with the added bonus of a kitchen where tea coffee sugar and bread was already there for us .
No negative the only thing we didn't like was we only had one night stay there so in future well stay longer.
The comfortable bedroom and en suite wet room. The room experience was lovely.
The strange set up with the table right outside our bedroom door. Didn't like the idea of people sitting right there! Also wasn't sure if the outside door was secure at night. No welcome from the owner (the young lady was perfectly fine but she didn't give the impression she was the host). Two sliced loaves in the fridge doesn't constitute a continental breakfast in my book. We bought muffins etc from the co-op in Stone.
Being able to see the animals. The time that was taken to chat made the experience more personal.
Location (close to Alton Towers) Good shower facilities
The hosts don't read the requests placed upon booking: we asked for 1 double bed, nice view and quite room - we got 2 twins joined together (matters was in terrible state, it had 3 layers of extra cushioning on it and we slept on a duvet otherwise you can feel springs digging in your back), room overlooking parking (so neither view not quietness provided). When asked for another room we were told all is already booked and all guests arrived (even though one room was free and keys were in a door) and this room remained un-used for the whole duration of our stay (had a better view and we would like to swap but were refused with the attitude: you take the one which was assigned to you or you can look for another BB) - not the best customer service (me and my partner both have a background in hospitality and work in a Hotel and wouldn't rate this BB high) Continental breakfast - you have to make it your own and wash up(!!!) after yourself so its rather a self-service (with toast and yogurt provided) than proper bed & breakfast. Cannot comment on full English as we didn't opt for it. We wouldn't stay there again nor recommend it to anyone - maybe we were just unlucky but nothing was done to make our stay more pleasant (bare in mind I booked the room 1,5 month in advance!)
Excellent facilities and very welcoming.Would not hesitate to recommend.
Inconsistent weak phone signal which meant having to go outside.
Piece and quite . Home comfort with privacy.
Room a little small could do with more working space.
The country location was ideal. My room overlooked the farmyard and green rolling hills, yet it was central to many local attractions. It was very quiet, my hosts were non-intrusive and very helpful. There were many country restaurants near by.
Quiet location, comfy room & no hassles.
Lovely grounds. Very comfortable room. Good cooked breakfast with produce from the farm. Opportunity to see animals.
Not very clearly signposted. Going through the village first time missed it completely, turned the car round, saw the sign post facing us indicating to the right, then went up the wrong drive.
Everywhere spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, good size room, wonderful views, pleasant hosts.
shower cubicle in bedroom
Initially offered twin bedded room on first floor but it was very hot, stuffy and rather small so we swapped it for a double room which was more comfortable.
The B&B was very nice and quiet. The hostess was friendly and welcoming, and there is a little pub within a 5 minute walk, as well as nice walking trails. We were taking a canal boat the next day, and the house is reasonably close to Stone. The cab ride was about ł8. The room was comfortable although a bit cramped by North American standards - everything was clean and bright. There were tea, hot chocolate and packaged biscuits in the room which was a nice touch.
The hostess was not clear on the breakfast and what was included in the price and what was not. We were a little surprised to be charged ł10 more than the website advertised - apparently having eggs and sausage instead of cereal, yogurt and toast is extra. Perhaps if she is uncomfortable saying it is extra, a little note could be put in the rooms to explain?
not well identified from the road
Friendly and welcoming hosts. We had 3 rooms in the small barn and had use of the kitchen and living room in the annex. The rooms were large and beds very comfy. Wonderful views over the countryside and able to wander around the farm and see the animals.
Very friendly hostess Excellent breakfast
