Set in 10 acres of land in a converted dairy farm, Highfields Farm B&B has rooms with beautiful countryside views and free Wi-Fi access. Eggs from home reared hens are served in the full English breakfast. Free private parking is available and the canal town of Stone is 10 minutes’ drive away. A flat-screen TV with a DVD player and tea and coffee making facilities are included in each room, which also has a private bathroom with a selection of toiletries. Breakfast is served in Highfield’s large converted barn and guests in some rooms have access to a communal kitchen area. A full English breakfast upgrade is available at a surcharge. Located in the country village of Hilderstone, the M6 motorway is 15 minutes’ drive away and Stafford town centre can be reached after a 20-minute drive. friendly owners and quiet location. The overpowering smell of fabric conditioner in the house was very off putting, so much so you need to cover your nose in the hall and landing. The towels and bedding to smelt far too strong. The hall floor seemed very dirty but that may have been due to the two large dogs in resident. The room was generally clean but needed a good dust and the bathroom needed a good clean in the hard to get to areas. There are no locks on the doors.

The room was very pleasant and the owners very helpful. We didm't expect cooking our own breakfast which was unique and quaint Although not a major problem, the farm was working late in the evening so quite noisy!

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Very friendly and homely atmosphere. Jenny and Phil went out of their way to look for some directions for us. They were very chatty and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were brilliant. Very clean and the bed was so comfy it it a struggle to get up :O) Would definately stay again and if anybody wants local food nearby, then the Green Man is the place to go.

I was welcomed by the owner on arrival and shown to my room. My room was on the ground floor of a block of rooms, which was ideal as I had two Border Terriers with me. As part of the block of rooms there was a kitchen, so it was possible to prepare food, and also the entrance lobby acted as a small dining area.I needed breakfast quite early,as i was going onto a dog-show with an early start, and this presented no problem. There was nothing that I didn't like

The bed I expected and Bed and Breakfast. The bed was excellent, the breakfast amounted to toast and jam and a cup of tea which I had to make myself. A cooked breakfast was available - for an additional payment. I felt that I was misled.

It was clean, comfortable, quiet and warm. Breakfast was great - homemade sausage, fresh egg, as well as shop bought produce all well cooked and delivered by a friendly host. There was a strong smell of fabric freshener in the bedroom. The farmhouse was hard to find on a cold winters night. The front door to the property was also hard to locate.
