The staff were excellant and very friendly, the breakfast was good. The room was a bit dated and a little cold as it had one electric fire under a draughty window. Very clean throughout. It was a shame that the main hotel including the bar closed early felt a little unwelcoming as we spent the evening just sitting in the hotel room.

Good hotel, considering that it is a two star hotel, in a nice location. The breakfast was only from 8 to 9 am. Two separated taps for hot and cold water in the sink, but it seems that this is the rule in Scotland.

The room was spacious, clean and relatively modern in decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well cooked and filling! The fact that the hotel accepted pets meant that we could take our dog on holiday with us. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that the walls were very thin and we could hear the guests in the rooms next to us.

The Highlander Hotel was lovely, the staff could not do enough for us. The food was excellent with a varied choice on both the dinner and breakfast menu to suit everyone. I read a review of the hotel before we went and was a wee bit concerned but to be honest I think that particular reviewer must have been staying at a different hotel!!. The bedroom was excellent - we brought our dog and sometimes when you include a dog in your booking you can tend to be given a room not quite so nice - but ours was perfect. We will certainly be back - already planning a wee trip with a three of my friends in September.
