Quality furnishings and linen. Lovely barn conversion room with character yet modern facilities. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpful service from everyone at the farm, including advice from Jean on where to park in Keswick. Nothing was too much trouble. A most enjoyable stay.
We would definitely go back or recommend to friends. Amazing views of the lake from our spacious room. Short walk to public pathways leading to the mountains, 2 minute drive to lakeside walks. Christine and Martin are great, just ask for anything and they'll accommodate.
The owners were really friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them they went out of their way to be very welcoming
friendliness & helpfulness of owner, staff; view from dining room; location for getting about Bassenthwaite & surrounding area.
slightly remote location. My 'mountain view' was pushing it a bit.
Located in lovely area, closed to everything. So cute room we had.I would to stay longer. Also it was nice clean with lovely smell in the room and in the bathroom as well. The breakfast was very tasty, spec a bacon;)We recommend them!!!!
Very comfortable accommodation, handy for visiting Keswick and surrounding areas
Great, friendly & helpful owners. Wonderful period bedroom and gorgeous views.
Very comfortable room with really comfy beds. Great views from the front door. Great back door from our room so we could park right outside our room. Great breakfast. Great hosts with fabulous knowledge of the local area. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back :)
We were sure what time the check in was up to 23:30 as advertised on Booking.com. We got lost on our way there (sat nav and A roads!). We got a call from the B&B a couple of times and were effectively told we were inconveniencing them as they had an early start which made us feel very badly as that was not stated from the outset. We now understand as it is a working farm that they need as early a night as possible.
Homely feel, great rooms, terrific breakfast
Beautiful views of the gorgeous lake and hills. Working farm with sheep and cows made it feel so peaceful.
Martin and Chris made us really welcome nothing was too much trouble. Clean warm and a great breakfast. Wifi not the best but I kno Martin is working on this and what can you expect in such a lovely remote location
Comfy bed Nice breakfast Martyn was helpful and welcoming
Small room, dominated by bed. Very abrupt way of telling us we had to leave at 10am during breakfast. Despite checkout being 10-11am. No reply to my personal feedback.
Room well set up with high quality toiletries provided. King-size bed very comfortable. Easy parking, close to room. Friendly atmosphere in bright, homely lounge and breakfast room.
One-off ..... farm building alarm activated sometime during the night.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Well appointed, clean ensuite. Comfortable bed. Ample supply of tea and coffee.
Awoke in the night a few times to hear something scrabbling around in the loft... Not offered a choice of cooked breakfast items as described, and would have preferred poached eggs.
EVERYTHING. Owners very nice, so clean and excellent breakfast
The room was beautiful. I wanted to take it home with me. Breakfast was nice. I liked the biscuits in the room.
There were a couple of marks on the sheet. However, I am a little ocd when it comes to bedding.
Beautiful location and views, very warm welcome from hosts, fabulous room and excellent breakfast.
Quality of service, The room was great with lovely view, lovely breakfast.
Everything - the breakfast was really good, the staff were friendly, the location was good (albeit a bit far out, but that is part of the charm), shower was great, bed was comfortable. It was a slightly colder weekend, and the heating was very welcome!
We stayed in the luxury room which was fantastic. I took my boyfriend for his birthday and the room was decorated with banners and balloons and a bottle of Asti Martini on ice as requested.
The pillows, that's all - that's possibly down to the fact that we are used to our own pillows and not down to the pillows there though. Also I think it would be great if the room had an iron and small ironing board for people staying in that room as it is off the main house so requesting one from there seems like a fuss, also it could do with a little bit more lighting for people coming back late on the dark nights. These are not things I didn't like just suggestions to make it 100% perfect.
