Location - proximity to city of Bath via public transport and no charge for parking. The bus stop in both directions is just outside the hotel. Quiet and a very nice breakfast. Relatively good value for money.
Location; friendliness of staff; good choice of breakfasts
Although spotlessly clean, room would have benefited from some redecoration and the shower wasn't that great.
Second time we have stayed there.not one bad word to say about the place.staff ex ellent and very friendly.I would certain ally tell people to stay there
The staff were so nice couldn't do enought for you.when you get back in the evening there is a nice glass of port waiting for you.the breakfast was excellent set you up for the whole day.nice touch as well sweeties and biscuits in your room.my friend and I will be going back again next year.
Bed wasn't all that comfy could feel the springs.but saying that I did sleep ok
Convenient Cheap Good breakfast
Bit tatty round the edges
a good value bed and breakfast. very friendly, helpful staff. very nice breakfast. kept us going all day
1 or 2 small areas could do with looking at. nothing which impacted our stay. for example a tear in our bedroom curtain, ans a slightly grubby toilet brush
Friendly welcoming staff Comfortable room Good breakfast
Good location about 10 mins walk into the centre of Bath. Even the hill didn't faze us. Warm welcome on arrival. We were in the annexe which was so quiet. Lovely breakfast, fab staff. Nice touches with mints & biscuits & toiletries in the room. We enjoyed our stay so much we've booked again for next year.
The room was spacious, warm, comfortable bed, The shower was excellent because of it's constant heat and flow. The ladies there were helpful pleasant, and welcoming.
The location was convenient for the city but part of the walk was unpleasant as it is past a run down area. The room was very dark, the ceiling light did not give off enough light to be able to read anything, of the 2 bedside lamps one did not work and the other made no difference to the lighting level in the room at all. Housekeeping wise it was very clean bur the decor needs refurbishment.
Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good
We stayed 2 nights, and found Highways House a little gem, just 15-20 minute stroll to Bath, (my husband walks slow) but there are buses and taxis, (he should have got one back as he grumbled all the way up the hill.) We really enjoyed our time in the Christmas Market too
Excellent stay. Couldn't fault it. Very friendly staff extremely comfortable bed, best sleep I have had in years. Very clean. Tea and coffee was replenished daily as was towels. Breakfast was excellent!!!
Nothing all was fantastic.
A ten minute walk into the town and nice friendly staff.
Breakfast was freshly cooked but would have preferred better quality ingredients. Quite basic.
It was very homely, comfortable, clean and welcoming, a lovely place to stay
Stayed in room on ground floor, have mobility issues . Unfortunately had to complain to booking.com who are currently resolving the issues .
Cleanliness very poor. Blood stain on duvet cover, when informed staff was handed replacement as if to change bedding myself. The staff member then decided to change bedding. Bed uncomfortable. Noise from upstairs till early morning.Bathroom had hairs in shower cubicle and dirty toilet brush . Room very dated , didn't even stay for breakfast as too off putting.
Location and availability of having a triple room.
Room was in the annex and smelt musty and was quite cold on arrival, but there was a mini portable radiator to heat it up. Decor and bedding looked tired.
If I had to say something then it would be the en-suite bathroom doors.
A good guest house at a good price with a great full English breakfast. The staff were very attentive and willing to help and offer advice about the local area. There is off road parking which is a must in Bath. The guest house is a short walk from the City centre about 10 mins. The guest house is situated on a hill but then so is most of Bath. There is however a bus stop right outside and there is always a taxi if walking isn't for you. Overall a good stay.
House had lots of character and plenty of off street parking. Only a short walk to the city centre.
Only 1 room had a bath, so even though we requested one we ended up with a shower only.
The staff were very helpful and helped us with any queries, good value for money and a very convenient location for walking into town. Free parking was a massive bonus and made the whole weekend much easier. Good facilities in the room for tea / coffee etc. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in Bath
Bed was quite hard and gave us both neck ache
Friendliness of welcome Spacious rooms Closeness to town
Shower pressure too weak
The poached eggs
Parking was ok but it would help if bays were marked out.
The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Good location and parking a plus point.
Old, tired decor in need of complete refurb. No money being ploughed back into the property.
Owners were friendly and helpful Room was warm and comfortable Good choice for breakfast
Location was a bit further out than I would have liked. It was at the top of a hill so only 15 minutes walk down to the centre, but the uphill climb back was a bit offputting after a day of walking, so we took a taxi. There were buses but we weren't sure where to get them in town, so a taxi was easier and cost about £6.
