Breakfast was excellent
Was an expensive stay
Excellent location, very clean, comfy and friendly staff!
Staff very friendly and welcoming on arrival. The young girl who checked us in was very helpful, giving us a map of the area with directions how to get to bath City centre. Good parking facilities on site. Excellent breakfast. We were at the back of the house, so very quiet and peaceful. Not sure if the front of the house is as quite as Wells road is very busy. Room was cleaned every day.
Decor and furniture slightly dated
I booked two rooms for myself, my two sons and daughter-in-law. We found the hotel to be a well kept bourgeois home, within walking distance from Bath center. Its location permitted a relatively easy climb to Beechen Cliff and its spectacular views of the city. Good English breakfast and a welcoming touch of a free decanter of sherry in the living room.
Rooms require stronger light; some light fixtures need repairs; Door of downstairs bedroom does not close well.
Friendly staff Firm bed Quiet bedroom Wifi Good location
Parking was limited
Friendly staff, nice room
Excelent location. Nice staff.
Noisy during the weekends because of the pub downstairs.
Very comfortable bed and friendly staff. Great place to staff if you just want somewhere to crash.
Room was a bit of a mix match of furniture. Breakfast times really poor, only an hour slot which wasn't helpful for our trip. We stayed in a delux room but couldn't see anything delux about it
Location, parking, quiet first floor rear bedroom in main house, friendly staff and great breakfast. Perfect for a weekend visit to Bath SPA.
Personally would have preferred slightly larger bed.
Easy walk to sights (getting back tougher uphill, but not hard). Staff was very welcoming and helpful.
Very hard pulling out of the driveway because of no visibility. A mirror would be very helpful.
Easy route to town and off street parking. Early check in.
Bit of hill which may bother some.
Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The drop of port last thing at night was a lovely touch. Good facilities in the room - everything we needed, including needle and thread! Also good tea and coffee making facilities and bottles of water. Location excellent, less than a 10 minute walk to the centre of Bath. Free parking definitely a bonus for us too. Decent breakfast and plenty of it, very warm and hospitable staff also. Would love to come back for another stay.
Very comfortable stay in the bungalow, with spacious and quiet room. Very helpful staff, wonderful breakfast. The house itself was lovely.
A little hard to locate at first.
Loved the building and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included and quite yummy! Beds were very comfortable. Room was great EXCEPT for the bathroom.
The water pressure in the bathroom was messed up- shower wasn't strong enough and toilet took a long time to fill again. Not too big of a deal though.
The location is nice, just a 10 minutes walk form Bath town centre. The room was large and spacious. was cheap considering Bath average prices.
The room we were allocated was in a separated building from the main house, and was not as pretty as the actual Highway house. Rather a modern made bungalow. It was also slightly damp. Another down side was that to go to the lounge area and the breakfast area we actually had to get out of the building and walk to the main house. The main house was prettier , although the breakfast area was somewhat shabby. The staff that welcomed us was very nice and friendly, the staff that served the breakfast was a bit more carless and clearly not too concerned about us. Worst of all I specifically requested a gluten free breakfast as I am coeliac, and asked it not possible to let me know so I could cater for my self. However though when I went to have my breakfast the lady taking the order told me they had no gf bread, or cereals or sausage or anything. So my breakfast choice was rather limited. Beacon, eggs and mushrooms with no bread. My parents had a full English. It was ok but you could clearly notice that it was not prepared with care, sausages were clearly been reheated, the beacon was not a nice lean cut, and the scrambled egg looked rather unappetising an the mushrooms looked more boiled then grilled. The choice of cereals was very limited and there were no pastries of fruit available. Mostly it did not feel particularly clean. Overall it was ok for one night, but I would not choose it for longer stays. I must say thought that there were some renovation work in progress, so maybe soon the place would be better.
Location and they let us park there even after week booked out.
Didn't realise booking.com don't add the tax on the price until you book. Could have stayed directly in town centre for a cheaper price........ rascals!!!
Nice room, lovely breakfast, friendly staff
Annexe room a little chilly even though outside temperatures fairly warm
Situated an easy 10mins stroll down a hill to Bath Centre was great, free parking as well made this a good option as parking is at a premium in the city centre. On a busy main road but an easy walk home up a slight hill, well lit and felt safe to us. It felt more like a hotel than a B&B but breakfast was great and served by two lovely ladies. A well appointed lounge is available for guests use. The whole house needs a bit of a reburb but what is there is reasonably comfy. The bedding in a double was a little lumpy, needs replacing but managed to sleep well enough. On the whole though a fair price for what you get.
The lumpy bed, otherwise all ok
Walking distance to downtown Bath. Charming room with breakfast included. Free parking. Great staff. Would stay again if I get the opportunity to go back to Bath.
Friendly welcome, good breakfast
Nice and confortable bed and bathroom. Excellent breakfast and the staff very helpful. They even prepared us an early breakfast on the day of our departure. I will hardly recommend it.
Friendly greeting. Good breakfast but selection of fruit and cereal could have been greater. Very clean. Parking available. Large comfy bed.e
Dated but not period fittings so no character in family room. Electric points to dry hair not near mirror.
