The staff were very friendly and really made the stay a pleasure.
The location on a main road needs better signage as both we and (later) our taxi driver nearly missed the entrance.
Friendly greetings on arrival, large fluffy towels and a bath, excellent wifi. Quiet even though on a busy road.
No issues, but note there are stairs up to the guest rooms.
Not toilet roll only one cup in the room No towels in my daughters room The shower didn't work The hotel is very run down
Debbie & John were excellent hosts and made the whole family feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they 'went the extra mile' ensuring that our children had everything they wanted, particularly at breakfast! We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to our family and friends.
Lovely place with great atmosphere Warm and friendly owners, nothing is too much trouble Would definitely go back
The rain :(
Hosts friendly and helpful
Room 6 was way too small, the bathroom was tiny and the shower too small, towel ring in bathroom was falling off the wall. I understand they are refurbishing so it may be better after
A relaxed, friendly and very homely establishment within easy walking distance of the town. An abundance of local knowledge was provided by John & Debbie, ensuring an excellent meal at The Cinnamon Lounge and an easy journey to Longleat.
The room was comfortable, but like ourselves a wee bit tired and showing signs of its advancing years.
Room no. 6 was too small
Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendlier.
Plenty of off road parking space. Breakfast was excellent, cleanliness of the room and the dining area was excellent. The owner was extremely helpful and would use this hotel again
The shower head needed fixing, it was held in place with celllotape, as I am 6'5" tall getting into the shower cubicle was challenging.
The staff were so nice, like we were family dropping in to visit.
Breakfast was very good but steep in price compared to our stays elsewhere.
Gorgeous building with interesting decorations that make for great conversations. Friendly and helpful host.
I struggled to fit in the shower and I'm 5'5". Perhaps not an issue in other rooms but our twin room under the stairs was a little a bit snug in places.
The appearance, The Welcome, Comfortable Bed, Great Location. Would be my 1st choice when visiting the area again
Nothing to Dislike
John and Debbie couldn't do enough for us from arrival, breakfast time, right through to departure. They were very approachable and keen to have conversation The rooms were extremely clean and were tidied on a daily basis which is unexpected of Bed and Breakfasts (from past experience). There was a great range of breakfast items each morning to choose from but we stuck with the clean Full English each morning which was a great start to the day.
I liked how the staff were very friendly and helpful. They really made you feel at home. Great back garden with large barbacue, did not try it but looked good.
Unfortunately hotel was fully booked, and was a hot night. My Sister and brother in law had no fan in their room, hence could not sleep. They need to insure enough items are available to cater for every guest room.
I had the garden room which was really nice.
The restaurant has closed since I last stayed at the hotel which was a disappointment. I was unable to get a wifi signal
Location: proximity to the town for restaurants/pubs. Breakfast was excellent.
Tired room at front of building. Had to have window open at night as very warm: sleep disturbed by road noise. Requested a fan, but told none available. Very poor hard pillows: shaving point not working in bathroom. Conclusion: not recommended while they still have un-refurbished rooms.
Room was very spacious and clean, everyone very friendly, good location and would definatly stay again and recommend to others, in fact I already have.
Only downside was after a very hot day, a shower would've been nice , although I do understand that renovations to bathrooms are under wAy.
A lovely hotel with equally friendly and lovely owners. They accommodated my late arrival without problem. The room was beautiful, with coffee making facilities, a good en suite and absolutely spotless. The surrounding garden is lovely too. I paid for breakfast that was just great and really well prepared with a good spread of cereals etc on the sideboard. A lovely hotel in a beautiful area. Thank you!
Bathroom was a bit small
We liked everything.
I very much enjoyed the personality of the manager, who went to no end to make our stay as memorable as possible. Thank you for such a good time! Cannot recommend you enough.
welcome was excellent.tea/coffee in room good . Bed excellent !!!!!!! Breakfast very good selection ,scrambled eggs on toast particularly good
I stayed in room 10 ,only that getting into the shower was cramped if your shoulders are wider than18 inches it is tight! however I believe some rooms are being updated.
Lovely hosts, very helpful and welcoming. A very pleasant stay with pleasant people.
