Trowbridge is a lovely town in the middle of green pastures. It makes a good base to explore Bath, Bradford on Avon and Bristol with good train connections. It is quite flat and easy walking. St James is a lovely old church in the centre which rings its bells with pride.

We went to Trowbridge to visit friends. It has plenty of pubs and restaurants to eat in and a cinema. It is in easy travelling distance of Bath. Buses go into Bath and trains to both Bath and Bristol.

We went to Trowbridge as we used to live there and I was visiting friends. There are plenty of places to eat and there is a cinema. It is in easy reach of Bath but accommodation is cheaper. There is a train station with access to Bath and Bristol and a bus service to Bath so both places easily accessible without a car.

I am familiar with the town of Trowbridge & have been for many years.
Ate, drank & shopped in my usual haunts most of which thankfully are still in existence

The hotel is often unmanned so nobody may be there to check you in when you arrive. Before travelling, check that the pool and sauna and health suite are operational and not switched off to save money.

I've requested a confirmation email re the list I left re hotel. Left this Mon reviewed today. Additional cost per dog per day. We had already decided to him him at home with family. Room 14 very small double you had to bum shuffle to get into bed. The curtains were 72inch drop on a 90 odd door covering. Remote control volume stuck on low. I mentioned it to house keeping we changed bedroom it was a double & a single shower room
Newhouse Farm is a ‘jewel’ of a place to stay for a most comfortable bed and breakfast. I had a spacious en-suite bedroom with comfortable bed and good sized bathroom. All in a gloriously quiet farm location with beautiful gardens, shrubs, trees and flowers surrounding the property. The hosts, Carol and Derick, are homely and welcoming and their ‘Aga cooked’ breakfasts proved to be out of this world. My two night stay with them was very enjoyable and I left feeling as though I had made two very good friends.
The staff and owner of the hotel were lovely, very friendly indeed and they went out of their way to provide good service. In particular I would like to mention George who stayed late to check us in to the hotel when the immigration queues at Portsmouth delayed our arrival.
The hotel itself is an attractive old stone building which is clearly maintained on a shoe-string by its enthusiastic owner - one guest described it as "quirky" - nice with unusual measure of attractions but a commensurate measure of faults…
This is an excellent, family run hotel. The staff are friendly and polite and do everything they can to make your stay enjoyable. This is our second day. It was unfortunate that our room had been double booked for the first night but the owner found another hotel for that night. It was more expensive but he paid the difference and gave us a voucher to use in their restaurant on the second night. Mistakes can happen and we were impressed by the way it was dealt with and will certainly stay there again.
As a family of 4 we found Fieldways exceptional in their accommodation of all our needs. The children were welcomed and loved the facilities-especially the swimming pool and complementary biscuits in the room!
The breakfast was delicious and a good range of choices despite Covid restrictions.
The hotel building itself was so interesting and we got told all of its history by the owner, who was approachable and friendly.
Lovely bed& breakfast hotel really clean, comfy beds and pillows like marshmallow clouds, the breakfast is extra but you get cereals, fruit, full English, toast and tea or coffee, the guys that run the b&b are really pleasant and friendly,we will definitely be returning.
We really enjoyed our all too brief stay at Newhouse Farm.. Carole and Derek were very welcoming and helpful and served an excellent breakfast. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and perfectly situated for our visit to Wiltshire. Thank you both.
Full English breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked.
The Pool was very good with all required facilities available.

Great Budget hotel inside, you get what you pay for.
Lovely period building, quirky room and larger pool to cool down in the heatwave.
