Lovely house. Particularly liked the unusual pictures etc. Room was very comfortable and excellent value. Breakfast: very generous portions and good choice.
Staff was very nice and welcoming. Room was very comfortable, nice view and good space area. Room was warm when we arrived at home, which was unexpected and very pleasant.
The shower was either too cold or too hot. Towels were missing but they quickly arrange that for us.
Poor soundproofing - TV in next room was too loud, could hear every word.
The owner she was so helpful
The shower it was so weak hardly any water think it was water saver head.
The owners were very welcoming and despite the fact they had experienced a flood the stay was great.nothing was too much trouble for them and they went out of there way to ensure a pleasant stay.
Nice and clean, everything that you want for a couple of nights stay or even longer
Room overlooking the garden was quiet
Would benefit from some upgrading but very clean and friendly and obliging family staff
Room was fresh and comfortable breakfast cooked well.
Shower was too weak and lacked water pressure
Rooms are okay
AVOID this place if you have small kids!! We travelled with a two year old and a 5 year old and got a bit late in Checking in(check in is 10 pm and we came at around 10.15) into the hotel. I had called Jon and informed him that we would be late but he said booking would be cancelled if we are late than 10 pm! And his partner Debbie was shockingly rude with us for being late!! She kept yelling in the kitchen and spoke to us very annoyed and rudely! For Breakfast, we got bit late with kids and came for bfast at 9.20 am and Debbie was rude again and told us she wouldn’t serve cooked bfast as we were 20 mins late! I was extremely shocked & saddened by her behaviour, especially as she is in the hospitality industry, she needs to understand that some days she might get guests who have very small kids and she needs to be flexible with them. After a tiring long journey with kids the last thing we expect from a B&B is rude behaviour!! More details- For the check in as we had a long travel and a rough day, we were getting a bit late and we called up Jon to tell him about it! He said the booking would be cancelled if we don’t check in before 10 p.m., so we rushed through and picked something to eat from a take away and when we reached exhausted with the journey, we asked Jon if we could just have some plates to eat our food. He offered that but Debbie came in and she had some arguments with Jon and was extremely rude to us for being late! She kept yelling in the kitchen and spoke to us very annoyed and rudely! We were left speechless and shocked!! So if you have kids and want any kind of flexibility, totally avoid this place!! And even the rooms are average with lousy bathrooms which have problems like not getting hot water for shower and even toilet flush not working!!
Breakfast & the bar were good
The shower was very poor & the rooms need refurbishing
The hotel and staff were warm and welcoming. They made our stay so lovely. We would love to go again sometime.
Can't think of anything, just wish it was a bit nearer where we live as would go there regularly.
Friendly, relaxed atmosphere Really appreciated the effort made to accomodate us in adjoining rooms Nice, comfortable rooms Easy to find Well situated for exploring the area Excellent breakfast !
The shower in one room was over the bath - fed from the taps and hooked up - not powerful enough (but we were warned about it and could have used the one in the other room). This was reason for the 'Fair' mark for facilities.
My first impression was the cheerful welcome that we received on the night of our arrival. We enjoyed a good night's rest and considered it good value for money.
There was nothing we didn't like about the hotel.
The staff were very friendly and really made the stay a pleasure.
The location on a main road needs better signage as both we and (later) our taxi driver nearly missed the entrance.
Friendly greetings on arrival, large fluffy towels and a bath, excellent wifi. Quiet even though on a busy road.
No issues, but note there are stairs up to the guest rooms.
Not toilet roll only one cup in the room No towels in my daughters room The shower didn't work The hotel is very run down
Debbie & John were excellent hosts and made the whole family feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they 'went the extra mile' ensuring that our children had everything they wanted, particularly at breakfast! We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to our family and friends.
Lovely place with great atmosphere Warm and friendly owners, nothing is too much trouble Would definitely go back
The rain :(
Hosts friendly and helpful
Room 6 was way too small, the bathroom was tiny and the shower too small, towel ring in bathroom was falling off the wall. I understand they are refurbishing so it may be better after
A relaxed, friendly and very homely establishment within easy walking distance of the town. An abundance of local knowledge was provided by John & Debbie, ensuring an excellent meal at The Cinnamon Lounge and an easy journey to Longleat.
The room was comfortable, but like ourselves a wee bit tired and showing signs of its advancing years.
Room no. 6 was too small
Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendlier.
