The bed was comfy
The bathroom drain stench. The large cracks on the walls The many steps/stairs The pay card machine fid not work and I had to go out to a local cash machine to get payment.
Parking was secure and good at the rear of the hotel. Rooms were extremely clean. Friendly but not very professional Would not recommend for a professional business traveller Peter M Somerset
Breakfast finished at 07:45 so had to go elsewhere to eat. Forgot to prepare invoice and no one available in the morning
When I left
Not value for money
The gentlemen when we arrived was friendly and the hotel generally clean and tidy on arrival. Nice bedroom and comfortable bed, with telly and tea making facilities.
We traveled by train and the hotel unfortunately was just a bit out the way, we also had a small hill to climb to the hotel and when you have been traveling it was very tiring. The bathroom/shower facilities are not part of the room and so had to use a shared bathroom which was clean and ok. We didn't see any other guests and only one member of staff on arrival and his son who delivered the towels to our room. The son was very polite.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but it didn't quite compensate for the venue.
Very shabby hotel. I was informed my original room was flooded. My new room was not en suite. In fact I avoided using the shower as it was decrepit and not particularly clean. The window in my room failed to close and the heating went off early in the evening so I was cold throughout the night. In addition the remote control for the TV failed to operate the television.
Within easy walking distance of Blackburn centre and George s hall.
didnt seem to be expecting us even with a booking. Had to pay extra for en suite room. Breakfast only till 0745. Car park quite small.
dead rat on path, poor parking
Always have a room.
Poor condition all round. Chocking incense being burned every morning.
peace and quiet
Damp room and bed in basement. Poor breakfast.
I thought the hotel had an outdated spec but at the moment they are doing it up at present. The staff were good and the hotel room was ok ...
Not viewing the room and being asked for payment on arrival. The breakfast was not welcoming as spicy sausage egg and toast and hash brown it would have been cost effective to go to Subway over the road for breakfast. Apart from that they are currently upgrading.
Doubled booked my rooms. Tryed to put 4 of us in 1 room when I booked 4
Do not go here, it smelt awful and was appallingly bad. The worst £30 I have ever spent.
The list is too long.
The management is very helpful to respond to guests' requests.
Getting out the front door
Everything no welcome inconspicuous characters everywhere demanded cash on arrival but we had paid in advance.
My room. Breakfast some were to park and the lady wot. Wot did. Brakfast
Car park good but had to be accessed by driving round a couple of roads. My room was clean and newly decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Could not find it at first - it is a long road and the hotel is no.90. Banged my head a few times on the beam in my room until I remembered! Had difficulty turning shower on and off - some written instructions would have been helpful. Shower mat to step out on to would have been nice.
The used condoms on the path in the back garden
Every thing extremely poor , old run down hotel ,homeless put in it , food room hotel condition very very poor , don't use ,even car got scratched on one side dont use sty away
An old house partly renovated, a sheet covering hole on wall to other room being renovated, shower flooded bathroom, night staff could not help he was a resident, breakfast very poor, had to park on the street picture of parking is next door ,hotel only had 3 spaces, this is a very run down hotel ,when you book they take money from your credit card and tell you no refunds CCTV watches you all time but it's monitored by owner abroad, DONT USE NOT RECOMENDED BEWAIRE many stairs to rooms reception not maned ,and out side
On arrival staff where very welcoming.
My room was freezing on arrival as the windows had been left open, the reason for this was that the room was damp. The shared bathroom didnt lock. Used condoms outside, not even moved after hotel was informed even after 8 hours, My belonging packed without my permission after I advised them that I would be checking out as I felt unsafe there. When I returned to the hotel at 5.30 when I had finished work I found that all of my things where no longer in my room and they had changed the lock to my door. Permission was not given for them to move my things, a young teenage boy was left to deal with me! When I asked for my money back I was informed that they where doing me a favour by giving it me back as because I had booked with booking.com I was not entitled to have a refund, even though the issues I had stressed to them on the phone had not been rectified. You would think simple clean hygenic accomodation is not a lot to ask for. But used condoms and lots of empty packets everywhere is not my idea of a safe secure and clean place to stay! At no point did I feel safe while there. Being woken at 5am by a drunken male trying to get into the building, banging on the front door, ringing the bell and calling the phone. This went on for over 10 minutes before the hotel owner/workers arrived at the door to let him in. I had finally managed to go back to sleep knowing my alarm would be going off at 7am when I heard him again, shouting as he wanted a cup of tea. If you like very hard beds you will like these, after half an hour I woke with a dead side as if I had been sleeping on the floor. All this happened in my first night between approx 9pm and 7.30am. I am just extremely grateful that I was able to find a safe and secure place to stay for the rest of my trip, as I could not of imagined having to stay at that hotel for one more night!
