Most of the staff and service.

Except one female staff at the bar and food area who continued to very rude and unfriendly to me. When my wife visited me she was upset at her attitude towards me(racist may?). I eventually had to challenge her at the end.....sorry for the very rotten apple among your staff!)

We chose an executive room, it was a delight, and the king size bed was comfortable .plenty pillows and big bathroom. The staff were very helpful and polite, we didn't find the noise outside a problem, just close the windows, and its fine. Good parking spaces at the back, no problem with a free pass from the hotel, if you are going to hartlpool, then stay here.

The breakfast was up on the 4th floor, with a glass roof, I personally didn't rate the full English as I wanted potato scone, or blkpuddin, with mine, the chef needs to practice more with eggs, poached was a hard ping pong ball and the fried was nearly raw, yuk, but plenty to choose from as in juices, cereals, fruit, yogurt ect and the staff very accommodating, just ask.

Friendly staff, excellent breakfast , and a good location near the station.

I would have preferred a roos with a bath rather than just a shower.

The staff were all friendly and helpful - excellent is not an exaggeration. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Furnishings were of a good quality. Bar food was of a good quality with generous portions. Very convenient for the railway station and other public transport.

Noise insulation does not seem to exist - you could hear people in the corridors quite clearly and the floorboards tended to creak a lot. The surrounding area is suffering from decline and can be a little depressing.

I can't fault this hotel. The staff friendly, arranged to have pizza delivered to room. Breakfast the following morning was good, however the accompanying view was fantastic. The noise from the bars across the street and the onsite nightclub never bothered me or my missus at all.

Quite close and convenient to the train station. Nice staff.

Hotel and decor is quite tired and could use some updating. Wifi was useless. Shouldn't advertise free wifi if you download speeds are so slow that a simple page takes ages to load - a skype call was not possible.

Good value for money with the hiring of a family room that comfortably slept four. Good meals and variation for dinner with an excellent breakfast taken in the restaurant on the roof of the hotel

Rooms were very warm in the night

The Staff were really, really friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and you are right in the middle of town and parking next to the hotel.

There is a nightclub in the basement and its right off the main high st, its not super loud but if that sort of thing bothers you then i wouldn't book. Saying that we were on the 3rd floor so were away from the noise somewhat. Also there was a funny smell from the plumbing we could smell in the bathroom. But apart from this it was a pleasant stay.

Very good base for exploring the area. Comfortable room. Very good staff. Good TV and wifi.

No proper kitchen, so effectively this is room only. Immediate vicinity not at all attractive.
