Room was comfortable. Dinner in the bar was well presented and nicely cooked. All staff were pleasant and very helpful. Hotel is very close to the station.
A longer breakfast time on Sat/Sun would be useful. Rooms are a bit tired and need a refurb.
Location Onsite Bars
The rooftop restaurant for breakfast. Very friendly staff all round.
Room (12) was a bit on the small side. Bed squeaked and had footboard which made bed too short for six footer. Could have asked to be moved but didn't bother.
Warm welcome, good-sized bed, trouser press was a nice touch. The Chesterfield armchair was superb if not a little bit slippy! Accommodating bathtub. 2.30Am Pizza run (over the road) topped off a superb evening!
Being awoken at 7am after around 3 hours sleep by a contractor in the property opposite, aka Dodgy Mal, filling up a skip with a hundredweight of Gypsum! Function buffet debris in the corridors an unfortunate slip hazard.
Location and value for money. Friendly efficient staff.
Easy to find the hotel. Nice and service minded staff! Okay breakfast.
Cleaning was not good enough. Thin walls between rooms.
Location was good, hotel was clean and Manager, Calum was a star!! Would stay again.
Upgrade to executive suite
Bed was hard. TV in room didn't work and once fixed the remote still didn't work.
staff comfy clean rooms
noise from pubs /clubs until early hours
the hotel was brilliant one off the best hotels we have stopped in breckfast was VERY Good the place is well worth the stay VERYhelpful
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooftop restaurant was excellent and I would have no problems recommending the hotel to other friends and family.
Affordable and clean enjoyed stay
Late night noise from clubs
The staff member who checked me in did indicate that the would be some noise
But they did not indicate that this would be until 4am.
Cleanliness and comfortable bed
Breakfast was terrible
Lovely room everything for your convenience was warned about the nose from the nightclub but never heard a thing.
Bed was very squeeky
Clean spacious rooms and good staff. Althought they always warn you of potential noise due to bar/club I have never had a problem regardless of room I have taken. Always use this place when visiting family and would always recommend.
Very good location, right outside the railway station. Had booked an executive suite, and very big room.
The room was located next to the station road, and was quite noisy but didn't change my opinion on the hotel.
The quirky building - once upon a time the Hill and Carter establishment. Friendly, helpful staff - nothing too much trouble. Reading books available at no cost. Large lounge + wi-fi
Beware a room on the road side on a Saturday night (tho staff on booking warn you of this. Other nights of the week no problem).
Lack of sleep through wedding guests sharing hotel at same time. Having to eat with wedding guests an unable to use facilities because they were full. Visitors should not hav to share hotel with that amount of wedding guests and being woke up with guests walking past door on ground floor !!
Excellent reception staff, lovely breakfast, would highly recomend to anyone.
Would have preferred to have the same mattress that was is in 15a to be in 12a and more toiletries in the bathroom like soap and conditioner.
The room was fantastic with great views. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would defiantly stay again.
The noise from the function room was very loud but by midnight it was quiet although you could still hear street noise. We stayed sat and Sunday night, Sunday night we had no noise at all.
Good sized room, huge bathroom, generally clean, attentive staff, roof restaurant.
Bathroom grouting drab, needs bleach. Shower disappointingly average. Wi-fi signal strong but phone wouldn't connect due to slow i'net connection. Sound system only for iPod, no Android facility though Android is market leader.
No soap no bottles of drinking water
Size of room and noise of seagulls
Comfortable spacious room and friendly staff
The car parking facilities were seemed fairly open to any passers by
