In a waterside location with views of the marina, this Premier Inn hotel is 800 metres (half a mile) from Hartlepool town centre and rail station. Enjoy free parking and family-friendly en suite...
Score from 135 reviews Fabulous
Very good location, right outside the railway station. Had booked an executive suite, and very big room.
The room was located next to the station road, and was quite noisy but didn't change my opinion on the hotel.
Excellent reception staff, lovely breakfast, would highly recomend to anyone.
Would have preferred to have the same mattress that was is in 15a to be in 12a and more toiletries in the bathroom like soap and conditioner.
The room was fantastic with great views. The staff were friendly and helpful and we would defiantly stay again.
The noise from the function room was very loud but by midnight it was quiet although you could still hear street noise. We stayed sat and Sunday night, Sunday night we had no noise at all.
Good sized room, huge bathroom, generally clean, attentive staff, roof restaurant.
Bathroom grouting drab, needs bleach. Shower disappointingly average. Wi-fi signal strong but phone wouldn't connect due to slow i'net connection. Sound system only for iPod, no Android facility though Android is market leader.
No soap no bottles of drinking water
Size of room and noise of seagulls
Comfortable spacious room and friendly staff
The car parking facilities were seemed fairly open to any passers by
Very pleasant helpful staff we like the breakfast room.
Room, breakfasts, staff and location.
Although we were informed up front of the noise which would come from the basement nightclub we were not informed of the noise which would come from the street outside until the early hours, and I cannot imagine what it would be like if there was a wedding taking place on the 4th Floor at the same time!!!!!!!
Parking. History of hotel. Staff were very friendly. Central location. Overall a very nice hotel. Will stop again.
did not have breakfast. Far to early when on holiday.
Most of the staff and service.
Except one female staff at the bar and food area who continued to very rude and unfriendly to me. When my wife visited me she was upset at her attitude towards me(racist may?). I eventually had to challenge her at the end.....sorry for the very rotten apple among your staff!)
Hill carter hotel for me was value for money.i have stayed at premier inn before but next time I will be staying at the hill carter will also bring my wife and two children.it was also a very good breakfast.good value for the money.thank you for a pleasant stay.
We chose an executive room, it was a delight, and the king size bed was comfortable .plenty pillows and big bathroom. The staff were very helpful and polite, we didn't find the noise outside a problem, just close the windows, and its fine. Good parking spaces at the back, no problem with a free pass from the hotel, if you are going to hartlpool, then stay here.
The breakfast was up on the 4th floor, with a glass roof, I personally didn't rate the full English as I wanted potato scone, or blkpuddin, with mine, the chef needs to practice more with eggs, poached was a hard ping pong ball and the fried was nearly raw, yuk, but plenty to choose from as in juices, cereals, fruit, yogurt ect and the staff very accommodating, just ask.
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast , and a good location near the station.
I would have preferred a roos with a bath rather than just a shower.
The staff were all friendly and helpful - excellent is not an exaggeration. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. Furnishings were of a good quality. Bar food was of a good quality with generous portions. Very convenient for the railway station and other public transport.
Noise insulation does not seem to exist - you could hear people in the corridors quite clearly and the floorboards tended to creak a lot. The surrounding area is suffering from decline and can be a little depressing.
Staff were excellent, room excellent
Too noisy double glazing does not block noise out.
I can't fault this hotel. The staff friendly, arranged to have pizza delivered to room. Breakfast the following morning was good, however the accompanying view was fantastic. The noise from the bars across the street and the onsite nightclub never bothered me or my missus at all.
Quite close and convenient to the train station. Nice staff.
Hotel and decor is quite tired and could use some updating. Wifi was useless. Shouldn't advertise free wifi if you download speeds are so slow that a simple page takes ages to load - a skype call was not possible.
Food was good. Room was clean.
Room very dated.
good all round value and service from a very good hotel
Staff really good and breakfast good. Couldn't hear the nightclub down in the basement tho as previous guests have and we were on 1st floor
Very warm in corridors and room
Friendly, clean, everything it promised to be
Only bar food, which stopped at 2100; I didn't make it until 2104. Ho hum!
Good value for money with the hiring of a family room that comfortably slept four. Good meals and variation for dinner with an excellent breakfast taken in the restaurant on the roof of the hotel
Rooms were very warm in the night
The Staff were really, really friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable and you are right in the middle of town and parking next to the hotel.
There is a nightclub in the basement and its right off the main high st, its not super loud but if that sort of thing bothers you then i wouldn't book. Saying that we were on the 3rd floor so were away from the noise somewhat. Also there was a funny smell from the plumbing we could smell in the bathroom. But apart from this it was a pleasant stay.
a separate shower would be preferable to one over a bath.
