Breakfast was excellent. Service was very friendly

The decor was very stylish, very nice atmosphere, nice breakfast, nice owners, rooms very clean and furnished to a high standard. I only paid £55p/n for the room, very good vfm. My friends who were staying with relatives close by came in and saw my room and were very jealous and said would stay in this hotel in future. And not their relatives. We were all very impressed with the standard of this hotel, seemed to be of a much better standard then other similair properties close by.

Privacy and car parking arrangement were good. Location, close to the town centre was handy. Very clean and just the right size of room. Though we are a couple I wouldn't say we are a mature couple.

Full size mirror In our room would have been a bonus and perhaps a small fridge. Scrambled eggs were underdone at breakfast.

We were lucky to get the last parking space even though we arrived relatively early. Apart from that, everything satisfactory. Perhaps a bit on the pricey side.

Nicely decorated rooms and comfortable bathroom. Good breakfast options and a good location just ten minutes to walk it to Whitby proper.

Could be quite noisy in the mornings with children and dogs playing in the back garden as family live on site. Or room backed onto the garden so we had quite a lot o noise when trying to relax mid morning after breakfast.

Quiet comfortable room witha large bed.

Bathroom would be improved by a heated towel rail.Breakfasts very good but I would have prefered an earlier start than 9am. Also it was a bit pricey.

We had a pleasant stay in a warm, comfortable house with good breakfasts provided by our friendly hosts.

The owners were friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was fantastic.

No real problems but keep an eye on paint work i.e. finger prints etc on doors otherwise great.

Warm welcome. Spacious room with large comfortable bed. Tastefully furnished, with spotlessly clean modern shower room. The shower was great - very hot and powerful. Good breakfast with choice of full English, kippers or scrambled egg with smoked salmon. Lovely selection of fresh fruit, cereals and god coffee. It is just a short 5 minute stroll into the centre if Whitby.

The location was brilliant, only a 10 minute walk into town, restaurants etc.

The rooms were a little bit shabby, wallpaper was peeling off, one room had a big watermark on the wall and the metal storage unit in my bathroom was very rusty.

Really good cooked breakfasts

Good sized shower cubicle and hot water. Shower room clean.

Room decor dark and insufficient lighting; although cold/wet weather heating very sparse. One thin blanket on bed. Mattress very uncomfortable, thin and springs poked through. Insufficient parking for number of rooms, so told we would need to leave car keys if using parking, despite parking being at owners risk - this would invalidate any insurance claims.

The room was comfortable & there was plenty of space in the executive double.

We had a strong smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom so we asked to change rooms which was no problem. Ended up in what we consider a nicer room, however I would question the cleanness as there were some stains on the bedding, marks on walls... Really spacious & nicely decorated rooms- just could have been that little bit better with some thorough cleaning.
