Very accomodating (added extra cot for 3rd child). Great location just outside of Stirling. Have to walk accross the street for breakfast, even though it is excellent value.

Great relaxing atmosphere and a great base to be able to commute to both Glasgow & Edinburgh. Alasdair was professional and helpful. Having the tavern across the road was great, we had a lovely breakfast there.

The room was gorgeous. We didn't expect such a nice, clean and modern looking room for the price we paid, so we were very pleasantly surprised. Room was nice and warm and had kettle with tea and coffee. The shower was also very good. We liked the room so much that we almost decided to stay in that night instead of going into town. If we hadn't already made plans for dinner, we would have. Alasdair was very helpful in communicating with us about our room and check in details. Also came to say hello and make sure everything was ok once we arrived. We can't rate him or the Hillhead lets highly enough. We have already told our friends to stay here if they come to Stirling. One small negative issue I had-The people staying in the next room from us were heading off very early in the morning. Each time they put on what I assume to be the cold water tap, we could hear the noise of the water loudly rushing through the pipes. For about 30minutes, they put the water on and off repeatedly, so just as I thought I was finally getting back to sleep, the water would be on again. The noise of running water in our own room wasn't noticable, but I felt as though their sink was right at my head and I couldn't sleep through it. One of my friends didn't notice the noise at all, and slept through it. I wouldnt let this small issue put me off from staying at hillhead again. My friends and I were very impressed with the room. Its a shame as I think we were just unlucky to have neighbours who a) Seemed to need a lot of water, and b) were up so early. Everything else was perfect.

How accommodating and organised Alasdair was, as we were arriving in very late and he had phoned and text in advance to advise us of arrangements. Just a very welcoming and friendly individual. I cant fault a thing really the whole experience was a pleasant one.

We arrived late and in the dark but the owner had left very clear instructions for us at the door to the office to find our rooms. He also left a contact telephone number that was very useful. The rooms were lovely and warm when we arrived and very clean. The location was great for us and close by to the local Brewers Fayre pub which offered good meals including breakfast. The tv in the room was a plasma screen as becuae it was fixed so high on the wall, it was very difficult to see when laid in bed. The bed was not comfortable and would benefit from a mattress topper or replacing. We had booked for a family room but this was not advertised as a z bed. Unfortunately, my son who is over 6 feet tall did struggle with it! However, we did have a good laugh about it!

Clean, warm, good value, nice set-up, enjoyed my stay As per previous reviews, the beds could do with new mattresses. Need ashtray outside to avoid spoiling the garden with cigarette ends

Hillhead Farm Lets were exactly what was stated in their promotional material. The customer sevice aspect was excellent and felt very personalised. The accomodation was very clean& comfortable with adequate facilities and parking. The location was easy to find and suited perfectly for a comfortable and affordable stay. A last minute change meant the family also included our small dog which did not cause any concern to the more than helpful owner. Would have no hestation to reccomend Hillhead Farm Lets. Regards Neil Mackay Nothing really.

Alastair, the owner, was very pleasant and welcoming. The room was very clean and warm on our arrival. The bed and bedding were both very poor. The bed was of a very poor quality and the springs could be both seen and far too easily felt! The duvet was small and extremely thin, so we were cold all night.

clean room & friendly host in a nice relaxed atmosphere the thing i would say about our visit was the beds, they were not comfortable and we did not get a good nights sleep and even though we were not able to get the room we had booked due to some previous visitors leaving it in a bit of a mess, which we were advised of on arrival, after visiting the brewers fare for our family tea and breakfast, which had a premier inn, also 2 mins walk from hillhead, had probably wished we had slept there instead.we were also charged the full rate even though we did not get the room we had booked, which i had hoped would give us a little more room for our son to play in.i would advise for other people,as it was nice and clean, but did not have much to offer other than room.i would not go back,as in my experience, there are better places to stay for the money.very basic.

Great family break! Very clean and good sized family room in the attic. The kids loved being next to the animals, especially the horses right next to the cottages. Didn't really have any dealings with the staff but everything was very efficient nonetheless. Would happily take the kids back for another weekend break. The beds are slightly lumpy and soft but thats maybe just me nit-picking!

The room was spotlessly clean. the cleaner was the only member of staff we met. She was friendly and had a good sense of humour. No welcome;bed linen very poor;our double bed was two beds zipped together;one of the pillows was disgracefully stained;our panoramic view from the room was of an oil tank,a large dark green barn and a rusty old bicycle;furniture was very basic(table was a melamine work top supported by two chrome poles; one plastic patio chair;tv was one make but the remote control was for another; towels were thin as was the toilet paper(!!!); no storage drawers.

The room was ideal and comfortable. We were going to a Takewondo competition in Grangemouth on Saturday and the location was ideal. The location was great for that and touring the local area. The price was good and very good price. Nice to have a quiet family room without having to stay in a travelodge or travel inn. extra bed was a camp bed with poor mattress
