Everything you need after a hard day travelling, working, or sightseeing. Beds were very comfortable. The location ideal for getting to the major routes quickly. Vey clean
Room and furnishings very basic, bathroom dark and dingy. A rug on the laminate floor would have been nice.
Lovely hosts, nice location, very reasonably priced, comfortable beds, peaceful nights sleep.
Comfy, easy location to find and park. Warm welcome, clean, tidy, off main road so quiet.
Pity no continental breakfast supplied but only had to walk across the road to obtain it.
Location, parking availability, surroundings are beautiful, staff were very helpful.
Floors were dirty(could have been cleaner), lack of places to hang towels, needs Kleenex, maybe a microwave.
Nice and clean. Comfy bed. Very nice garden with nice flowers Good parking area. Very nice owners of the house and he told us to contact him with any problem we had
No toilet brush
Great base to visit Stirling and Falkirk. Elaine was a lovely host. Would recommend this place. Lovely area outside to relax with a drink.
Only small problem was no hooks in bathroom for towels or anything else.
friendly staff and neighbours nice room for 3 adults we only stayed the one night.
bed was a bit uncomfortable
Excellent location Very nice room Good parking
No WiFi.... A must in 2014 Only one pillow per bed Poor shower
Great location, friendly and helpfull staff, we'll be back.
Beautiful flower garden in front of our building. The room was a little small, but comfortable & clean.
It took over 1 1/2 hours to find it, and we had a GPS and stopped and asked people in the area if they know where it was. It was overpriced for its location, but the Commonwealth Games were going on in Glasgow, so that probably had a lot to do with the price!!
Comfortable room. Large bathroom. Alasdaire recommended the Tartan Arms Pub and it was very good.
Wi-Fi was not working.
Warm welcome from Ian. Room faced away from road, so no traffic noise. Pretty garden. Very conveniently situated near to pub where we bought good value evening meal and breakfast. Designated car parking very near to room.
Rather loud inconsiderate Spanish guests as neighbours. Whose children were throwing stones out in the car park and who got up quite early and who 'spoke' at the tops of their voices. maybe need signage in other languages requesting people to keep the noise to a minimum last thing at night and first thing in the morning.
it was very quiet and peaceful.
there was no staff onsite at all and a note with my name and instructions was left on the door of main house. the Wi-Fi did not connect the whole time we were there - very disappointing. the tv on the wall was far too small for the generous size of the room and was very hard to watch from the bed and there was only 1 plastic chair!
Stirling is a great town and Hillshead Farm is located on the outskirts, near some of the main sites, ie Bannockburn Battle Site, William Wallace Memorial, while the town is only a short ride away. Great farm atmosphere and friendly host Alastair.
The farm was close to the town but with a rural outlook. An easy one mile walk into town and the Bannockburn centre
The owner was very insistent thay we pay for the accomodation the night before we left. He told us he was leaving early the next mornign and wouldn't be around when we checked out so we paid him on our last night and then found that he was still on site when we were leaving. Didn't feel the trust even though he had our credit card details.
Clean and comfortable. Wonderfully quiet location. Love the wildflower garden.
Could use some convenience shelves, towel bars, etc. in the bathroom
location good and quiet, considering so close to busy road. TV on the small side but not of real concern.
Shower difficult to manage and LOTS of cold water before it becomes hot. Same in basin hot tap - I SO SO hate such waste.
Comfortable units in a rural setting but close to bus stops for easy access into town and restaurants/pub for meals. Very friendly hosts who were very accommodating.
Not much sound proofing between the units.
Location, friendliness of staff
Wifi issues. Inconsiderately noisy other guests who arrived late evening.
Overpriced. Facilities did not match price charged, perhaps due to local celebratory event that finished that day (?). Beds with foam top layer not comfortable. Shower functioned poorly.
it was excellent! peaceful, relaxing, and the setting was lovely, had fragrant flowers surrounding us as we came in & out! Our hosts were lovely people! We would go back again! and would recommend to everyone!
Spacious accommodation, easily accessed and perfect for visiting several parts of central Scotland including Stirling, Edinburgh, Dunfermline, Perth, Trossachs, Glasgow and many other places. The accommodation was clean and located close to a Premier Inn for a good breakfast.
2nd stay here, every bit as good as the first and I managed to resist picking strawberries from the garden.
