Beautiful venue. Extremely polite staff even at 1am when I checked in drunk after a friends wedding. The gentleman on reception called me sir despite me staggering in with beer down the front of my suit looking anything but a sir! Luxury rooms great setting in the cheshire countryside. Tad expensive tho Price!

Size of beds and the room decor. The blankets on bed were extremely heavy and resulted in an uncomfortable sleep. Also the pillows and mattess were not comfortable. I was in a ground Floor room and it lacked privacy due to no nets, in the day couldnt have any natural light to prepare for a wedding as i had to keep the curtains drawn. I was also dissappointed to discover i was charged incorrecly when i checked in and i was faced with a £48 bill when i checked out.

Spacious, clean rooms. Excellent service by the waitress for dinner on the first night. Dinner was good Location Management acceptance of poor service by some staff and the offer of extras in the rooms Reception staff errors. Intimating that as 2 females we would be sharing a room!! Even though we had booked 2 separate rooms. Misquoted on cost of breakfast. Poorly handled by dining staff in the morning which promoted us to avoid breakfasts in the hotel. Poor on fire precautions!! No warning about testing the fire drill; fire exit in the dining room blocked by a table and chair. When this was mentioned to reception we were told that a meeting some weeks earlier had highlighted the problem but as she never went down there she didn't know that it had not been corrected. Do you want reporting to hse?

I thought the hotel was fantastic, me and my partner spent two days for just some time away and to relax, and I must say we really enjoyed the stay, the facilities were excellent, the rooms were really cosy and the bathroom was very clean. We will definately be returning soon.

The staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pool was so warm it was like swimming in a bath! The room was gorgeous and the bed massive! I could go on - the whole experience was brilliant! Nothing - everything was fantastic!

I like the general ambience of the hotel. Staff are friendly but not over-the- top. All acknowledge you in the course of their business etc. Spa facilities are lovely. Very nice rooms, comfy beds, nice bedding, lovely bathroom and shower, good room service. Bathroom is exceptionally clean - cannot be faulted. Nothing that I didn't like as such. The hotel has an 'odd' layout in some ways in that the bar is around the reception area and on the first visit it is difficult to find things such as the restaurant and the spa etc - there is a lot of walking involved. This was the second time I'd stayed there and did think that on this occasion the room could do with a bit of a 'deeper' clean and also needed a lick of paint in some areas. My room service meal on this occasion wasn't great however the time before was excellent.

Convenient location, ample parking, quiet golf links surroundings. Clean bedroom, everything worked although being allocated a "disabled friendly" room the basin in the bathroom was at wheelchair height - a recipe for back injury for an able-bodied guest. Terrible reception: deserted on arrival and had to call 3 times on desk phone before anyone came. Turned out the receptionist was chatting down in the kitchen ..... I've no idea how long for in total. She didn't even sound sorry when I said I'd been there for over 15 minutes. Kitchen also forgot my room service order for fresh milk - had to phone reception again (different receptionist). Staff need a kick up the b******e!

Most of the service provided by the staff was excellent and they were very cheerful and happy - except for one - see below. Green fees very reasonable. Room was very nice. The woman behind the bar was attractive but very much lacking in any communication skills. We felt she thought the job was beneath her. An under two year old having their food prepared by mother and being fed right in front of the bar in the evening - not good - especially as there was plenty of room in a more secluded part of the bar area nearby. Green Fees very reasonable - but the cost of drink and food made up for that, it was good but highly priced..

Everything seemed to go wrong - computer system crashed so we couldn't check in for a long time. Room tired and needs updating No availability in restaurant toilets out of action due to flooding not enough staff - poor services levels. Had to wait ages for everything - check in, bar meal, bar service, breakfast. Poor food. All we heard for the time we were there was 'sorry we haven't come back to you yet, we just had to go and ..... We weren't there 24 hours but that was too long!
