Hillview Cottage offers bed and breakfast accommodation in central Scotland in an ideal touring location. Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument, Loch Lomond, Edinburgh, Glasgow and The Trossachs are all close by. Day trips to Oban, Skye, St. Andrews and even Inverness are all possible. All our rooms are en suite and on the ground floor, which offers a high level of comfort, privacy and safety. Hillview Cottage is a home. When you stay, I'd like to think you'll feel its your home as well. I buy beds I would sleep in, and serve food that I would eat. I clean your rooms, and cook/serve your breakfast, and you eat the same food off the same china that we use. We are an easy 10 minute drive to the centre of Stirling, yet enjoy the comfort, joy and security of being surrounded by views over fields, lawns and to the hills at the bottom of the lane. Whilst I offer accompanying dogs, there is a daily charge of six pounds, and only one small or medium sized well trained dog is allowed in each room. An extra cleaning fee of twenty pounds will be applied for excess fur/soil or smell. Please phone to request having a dog in your room. I apologise for placing this here, but BdotCom refuse to add the required settings in my policy area.
Hi...please call me Jon. I have lived here for 18yrs and Hillview Cottage is a traditional B&B which means this is a family home with rooms to let. My aim is for you to feel relaxed and comfortable as any guest would feel in your own home. I have travelled extensively and most of the items in the house have been returned from travels. I am a microlight pilot, I do the gardening and the renovation and decoration in the property. And as the saying goes "You haven't visited a country until you meet the people"
We are close to Doune Castle.....Original Game of Thrones pilot filmed there, Outlander filmed there, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail filmed there. We are 3 minutes from Blairdrummond Safari Park, and 4 minutes from Briarlands Farm/Funyard and tearoom. 2 minutes to Blairdrummond Smiddy.....farm shop and tearoom/restaurant.
