Hilton Aberdeen Treetops Hotel  

I have stayed here several years ago.when the hotel was a bit scruffy round the edges. It has been completely refitted and is now very smart and contemporary in feel.

It was a pleasant hotel a bit disapponted in th room as it was so small as was the bed.

Staff were pleasant

Comfortable room and good parking at a reasonable price.

The bed creaked.

Everything about this hotel was expensive, a bottle of water in the room was £3.95. at £127 a night you would expect a bottle foc. AFter seeing this I walked out to the Nargile restaurant rather than pay inflated prices for my evening meal (recommende the Nargile highly). The single pint I had when I cam back was poor and expensive. Breakfast and lunch was very good.

The window in my room was broken and wouldn't close properly and when open hung squint. I needed it open as the temperature in the room even with the heating off was too high, even with window open it was hot. The heating in the stairwell next door was flat out and warmed the area up. The hotel is aging and needs some money spent on it to keep it to a 4 star standard. Staff were helpful but all seemed a bit green.

I was disappointed for the second time in a row to find my room was low in water pressure for the shower and the sink did not drain properly. I was upgraded on this occasion after my first night and appreciated this however, dissapointed to initially be paying £139/night for the booking (£278 for my 2 nights).

Upgrade to club room at no cost.. Very good room, with quality toiletries etc., good leisure facilities.

Recpetion areas, bar etc quite good quality but soul -less

Very helpful and attentive staff. Superb breakfasts. Room very comfortable.

Badly stained carpet in the room. Corridors looking worn and tired in need of redecoration.

Mentioned last time that water pressure in room 204 was not good enough for a shower---no change there, so what I didn't like was that I visited the leisure centre to have my shower!

I found the staff very welcoming and efficient. It was my 30th birthday and friends had organised gifts for me to be in the room and staff had arranged these gifts well and were extremely accomodating when we asked for other resources. Also thought the buffet breakfast was good value for money.Very enjoyable stay.

The room i was alocated was next to the central corridor. If you were sitting in the room people walking along the corridor to either reception, the Bar, the Restaurant or there room could look straight in to my room. The corridor door was just outside my room and everytime it was opened all you heard was the squeeking of hinges. This went on untill around midnight and then started again about 5.00am as people went for breakfast.
