Met up with our daughter, son-in-law, and two granddaughters (6 and 3) at the Bath Hilton near Pulteney Bridge. Location was great, walking distance to sights and restaurants and shopping. Staff was helpful and competent in fulfilling all our requests. Great with the kids...
Garage parking was an issue. Even with the parking validation, it was awfully expensive to have a car at this hotel.
The whole experience was lovely, from check in to check out we wee treated really well.
Location Staff were friendly
Noisy corridors making a peaceful sleep impossible
Within walking distance to all the local tourist attractions!
No free parking for guests.
The breakfast was great
Location Bed comfort Cleanness
Expensive parking No in room wifi
City of Bath on the door step
Central to everything Bath has to offer and restaurant was excellent.
Cleanliness of room was poor. Dirty and stained carpet, cracked sink bowl, dirty shower screen and used soap left in soap holder in bathroom.
Apart from the appalling service at check-in, everyone else seemed friendly and efficient. Hotel is pokey and not nice-feeling, an older building, not much they can do about that I guess, but it is very well located.
When we checked in, I was asked if I "could manage" my 4 suitcases, multiple smaller bags and 2 children while my husband parked. There seemed only to be 1 staff member on duty, so I reluctantly loaded them all onto the trolley myself and managed to crash into a table in the foyer before getting stuck in the tiny lift door, all under the gaze of the man at the desk, who did nothing till I went and asked him for help.
Restaurant was understaffed.
Facilities all on ground floor ie Bar and breakfast area, good shower and clean towels.
Breakfast, the food was disgusting the sausages didn't taste like there was any meat in them and the bacon was like cardboard and tasteless and the croissants were cold. For £10 a head I will not be having breakfast again.
Excellent service that went the extra mile. Very impressed
Noisy people staying above me!
Good Location near City Centre Car Parking Available Good sized equipped room Ideal for our overnight stay to attend wedding Good breakfast choice
Rather a bland looking building Shared car park with major shopping car park, Drop off point at reception little space no real instructions to car park until in reception after parking car Limited amount of coffee and milk in room Long walk from reception to bedroom Only two small lifts
No free car park , breakfast extra ,only had one small bar
We had travelled to Bath to celebrate our Mum's 90th birthday and had booked a family room. We had picked the Hilton mainly because of its location. My Mum was made to feel very special. Our family room had been upgraded to the biggest room in the hotel. The staff had also put a birthday card, wine, chocolates and a little cake in the room. Thanks to everyone at the Hilton for making our stay so memorable.
Location. Lobby decor. Room. View. Air con. Bed. Breakfast. Staff in restaurant excellent
Shower design not good. One male member of staff in the bar was grumpy. Carpets in corider near rooms is a bit weird
The fact that it is in a central location.
That workmen started work above us at 8.30 am and started drilling at 9am. We should have been warned in advance and given the option to make alternative arrangements.
Could do wit more milk and biscuits in the room
Great location, within walking distance of shopping, pubs and great restaurants. Plenty to do in Bath lovely scenery and lots of places to visit.
nothing at all !
Staff slack, had to request things a few times
Room, too small for the value of the money, carpet dirty, lots of flyes and Mosquitos, cracks in the sealing and lots of umidity and shower no power. Tv is from the 70s.
Ease of parking -reasonable charge Helpful receptionists
high prices for drinks in bar and restaurant. Limited supplies of budget wines. Bedroom including bathroom very small particularly in view of price
The city is nice and the hotel location is near city center
The room we had is too small for a couple, dont know how it will fit an adult !! We had to upgrade our room.
Easy walk to the centre of town, and a 10 minute walk to the train and bus stations. Having a large supermarket virtually next door was very handy. We used the small gym, which was great. Staff were friendly and helpful.
