The breakfast was especially good, and the staff were very helpful
The beds in the family room are too small for children.
Location Breakfast experience
Dinner in restaurant- they could not do blue steak (claimed against H & S regs), wine not cooled, dessert tasted odd. Room- bathroom door catch did not work, mirror light not working, tap loose, black marks on net curtains in room. The newspapers we ordered were not delivered.
Breakfast, Room , Staff
A bit expensive, but I would still come back.
Location was very good - ideally located for the hotspots if Bath
Quality of breakfast was poor. Scrambled egg, tasteless and rubbery. Orange juice tasted as if long life product and coffee poor.
Location Breakfast Cleanliness Staff friendliness
Price more than the advertised price I thought I had booked. I didn't notice when paying as my partner paid. It was still being advertised at £259 on the day, we were charged £279. No fridge in room so couldn't even keep drinks cool. Remote control broken with batteries hanging out held in with sellotape. Dirty curtains. Having stayed in hotels for the same amounts of money that were far superior I was very disappointed. Room very noisy from outside and inside, sound proofing and double glazing are needed.
Bar staff and food good.Location very central
Bathroom dated could do with some attention also a massive water stain on ceiling
Lack of airconditioning
convenient city location good breakfast helpful staff
Location Staff were helpful and friendly
Very noisy Thin walls We could hear the people above us coughing at night! Very squeaky beds - even when we were moved to a new room the bed was the same Out dated - needs a refit
We had a great check in. Simone was professional but at the same time not too 'robotic' and did not just do his list of things but engaged in the conversation and made us laugh after a long, exhausting journey. Also very much liked the fact that we got the express check out envelope slid under our room door in the morning of check out and thus didn't have to cue at all. The location is great, combined with the parking which is convenient and not too expensive at all considering it's in the city centre. The general cleanliness was good too and the housekeeping team friendly and did not mind to clean our room a bit later as usual.
As much as I was impressed by the reception I was disappointed by the Concierge and the bar staff. We stayed on Saturday 8th November when a fireworks display took place in Bath. It was a big event, thousands of people watching and the streets closed off. When we asked the concierge about what time it would start or where would be a good place to see it his response was that he had ' heard something about it but he couldn't really find anything on google' and that it might have been on the day before. He said he could try again to google it but apart from that he wouldn't be able to help us. I would expect that all the front of house staff would be informed about a big event like this, but at least the concierge. When we decided to have a drink at the bar on the ground floor the bar was not very busy at all and the girl behind the bar was on the phone when we arrived at the bar. She did not acknowledge our arrival or sign that she would be with us shortly. She then continued to speak to a -what it seemed like colleague- about ordering more stock and what she was going to order when. After a couple of minutes I looked at her and mouthed Hello and smiled at her to get her attention but she did still ignore our presence completely. Whilst I understand that new stock has to be ordered I found her behaviour not very hospitable at all and we decided to leave after a few more minutes of listening to her conversation without ordering anything. One more small thing that was not too great was the water pressure of the shower which was very low as well as the outdated selection of movies provided. In my opinion it was fair value for money but by changing some small things or maybe investing more in staff this could be a great hotel.
bed seemed to be on a slant, also no power points near the bathroom if you needed to use a hairdryer
That you had to pay for wi-fi.
Staff were friendly Excellent breakfast and place very good location of the hotel
Breakfast selection could be better, i.e. with more types of cheese, cured meats, or pate.
Location is great for seeing all of Bath. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was great too!
Location great, that's the only good thing about my review.
Extra charges appeared on our bill for no reason Scratching noises through the night- sounded like mice The loudest cleaning staff EVER Paper thin walls Shabby building Not what you expect for a Hilton Hotel. Would not recommend.
Typical Hilton standards
Room and the bathroom was very small.
The location was good, only 5 minutes' walk to the Abbey Cathedral and all the shops and Roman baths were within walking distance. The Atelier served excellent food.
It was difficult to connect to the wifi. It was quite cold in the room as there was no heating. The bed was not comfortable as the mattress was sloping so sleep wasn't as good as it should be.
Cobweb in the room. Felt like staying at a travel lodge or premier Inn and paying Hilton prices.
location excellent and considering general price of hotels in Bath good value for money
room a bit small and basic - felt like a smart premier inn type room
Location was great, we were walking distance from all the main sights. There was waitrose around the corner which was awesome. The room was clean and neat.
Walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbours quite clearly
Location was great for shopping and eating
When I booked online I was under the impression that there were slippers and robes in the rooms so didn't pack any but none there. Reception should have offered more information on arrival re meal vouchers etc
Quiet room as requested; nice bathroom; tea-tray provided.
Wardrobe and drawer space very limited for two people.
