Spacious, convenience to airport, train station and nec. Leisure complex. Able to eat in the bar. Reasonable food prices. I got a good room rate for booking early. Bedroom doors didn't have enough soundproofing and it was very noisy all night and early morning with people going up and down the corridors. You could hear everything that was spoken in the corridor through the doors. Hence I didn't sleep well.

Not much. We experienced varfious problmes, separate report will be sent direct to the Hilton group
Couldnt find the hotel, spent half an hour driving around trying to get
someone to answer the hotel phone! Disgusted we had to pay the parking.
Long check in as conference had arrived before us. Had no Spa-leisure
facilities apart from pool as everythiing else was closed, not
acceptable, should have been advised as had planned to use facilities.
Worked in overseas travel for 25 years & still live in the Canary
Islands working for the media (press>/radio) finally got to room after
"10 mile hike" to end of corridor. Phone didnt work in room or light
above one of beds, staff fixed telefone but said light would have to
wait until next day, not Hilton standard! I had booked near to airport &
for a pamper as my niece was staying with me &

My room had no heating so it was very cold and unwelcoming. I blame it for the bad cold I have now.

Considering this is a Hilton hotel the room was very old fashioned. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in as one side had no spring in it giving the impression you were sleeping on a slope. It is now 2011 whenever I stay abroad all the hotels have Wifi access in the room and free access in there lobies, you don't. Finally I know that this hotel is based at the NEC and some might take advantage but to park your car there and be charged £7 per day for residents is a joke.

The pleasant welcome and friendly staff. the room itself was very clean and comfortable and we would definitely stay there again. Not a complaint as such but we did not know that there would be a parking fee added perhaps this should be advertised or the person informed on booking.

I had booked a single room which was not up to the standard I expected. There were 2 beer bottles above the bed, a mirror was smeared with stuff and hadn't been cleaned, the bathroom door handle and the toilet roll holder were on the counter and the radio didn't work. When I phoned down about these things I was moved to an executive room, which was spotless and much nicer. I was very pleased with the service but wonder what would have happened if the hotel had been full. Even if the first room had been maintained properly and I'd stayed in it and wouldn't have booked here again, as it was a very basic and dingy room with a foot high window at the ceiling which you couldn't see out of. I feel that the basic single room was not good value and didn't live up to the Hilton name. As I'd be booking the most economical room if I stayed again, I probably wouldn't choose this hotel again.

Did not like the Hotel, too busy, could not get a reservation at any of the restaurants. The phone in the room did not work and obviously had not been checked by the cleaners. The room service meal was undercooked ie raw meat and the charges were outrageous! Would not stay there again.! Staff did not seem to be interested and the service was bad. I appreciate there was an exhibition going on at the NEC and also facilities in the hotel, but no excuse.

Sam, who rectified the problems of the first day and moved me to another room. I was given room no. 2220 which had a basin cracked in 3 places - surely unhygienic, a safe that didn't work and spent the first night sleepless and very cold. The heating had not been explained to me and even though I had the temperature set to 22 degrees I was very cold and had my coat , dressing gown + on my bed to try and keep warm. I ordered a Sunday Telegraph which I did not receive. And even that I had to phone and ask for I was not asked at registration. So very bad first day. I spent the next monring when I was due at work seeing security, an engineer and phoning reception. No time for breakfast.

The room cost was £289 for one night. It said that this included free access to the executive lounge - this was a bit of a joke as the executive lounge was the hotel bar which anyone could walk into. After paying that price £7.50 for parking was ridiculous. Had to eat in the hotel because of the snow food was very good but did not agree with having to pay the service charge. The room was nice but the bed much smaller than expected. Lamp was not working properly in the room. Pedal of bin in bathroom broken. TV outdated and poor reception.

Room 2201 right beside the lift shaft and we could hear the lifts. The bed was uncomfortable Cleaning staff ignored the "Do not disturb sign" and came in to the bedroom as one of your guests was sitting on the toilet in the bathroom There was no information guide in the room to the hotel's facilities or local attractions There was one bathrobe for 2 guests There was no minibar or fridge/would have expected one in the Hilton

Room was very good, although late night guests were noisy in passage. Restaurant was good although large glass of wine wasn't very large , glass less than half full, service was good. Service was good. Position good. Parking wasn't very easy, probably worst thing about stay. Only parking really.
