Breakfast was very good but service was lacking
The room was dark and poorly lit
The room was easy to find and was a good size and well organised. The staff were mainly very friendly and helpful. When we went down for breakfast the staff were brilliant and we were asked if we would like tea or coffee and it was brought to our table promptly. Breakfast was really nice.
On check in the gentleman that checked us didn't speak very clearly and was very difficult to understand. We had to call for maintenance as the heating didn't work correctly. The bath in the room could have used a good clean as it looked very grubby.
Location for NEC
Food and beverage prices
Location, bed, shower, staff, breakfast. Single room was small but had everything one person could need for an overnight stay.
Bar food and drinks were expensive. When I asked for Bacardi I was served another brand of rum without being told. When I queried the taste the barman confirmed it wasn't Bacardi and offered me a different drink instead.
Friendly welcome, helpful staff and a comfortable room.
Not enough tea coffee no biscuits!! Bed slightly hard.
Large open lounge area
Food expensive. Drinks service a bit slow
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and efficient. The food at breakfast and the evening meal was excellent.
The bath was dirty and badly stained, There was no way I would use it, we did complain and were told it would be cleaned but it was not any better, I therefore had to use my sisters bath who had a room next door. Very poor!!!
The smell of decay in the room and grossly expensive in-room wi-fi
food and drink prices
Five minute walk to the NEC
The only good thing about this hotel is that it’s only a five minute walk to the NEC Room was small and drab, stuck in the 90’s somewhat Queues for breakfast like you have never seen, although the staff to their very best to cope No better alternatives available If you are working at or visiting the NEC which is the problem the hotel has a captive audience
Everything was good
The only thing I didn't like was in our room we only had a shower, I like a bath
Courtesy bus although not easy to find how to get it. Excellent staff, good food.
Basic room for the price, paying for internet, queuing for breakfast.
Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, very handy for NEC and train station
Perfect location for access to NEC. Staff were excellent
Ice machine should be available at this standard of hotel.
Perfect location for the Horse of the Year Show. We will try and book the Hilton again for next year's show. Wonderful bed and well appointed room.
Some of the prices, particularly food and drink seemed a little exorbitant. We don't use hotels much, so maybe this was an average sort of price.
location excellent good size portions
price of a glass of wine ridiculous had to wait 10 mins for a steak knife while my dinner was getting cold
Close to NEC
Parking full so ended up a long way from hotel and had to walk with a bag not on wheels because I didn't think I had to walk far. I phoned to check on parking many weeks ago and was told there was no problem there was parking at the hotel. I was not told it fills up. Our lunch we ordered surf'n'turf but just steak came (after a long wait). They took it away and brought it back with the prawns but it was cold. They did then make us a new one each. We arrived back after the show a bit before 11pm. Sat in the bar and waited for about 15 minutes before ordering 2 drinks. 10 minutes later the waiter said we had to pay which we did and he left us with the receipt. 20 minutes later still no drinks. Another waiter then said ours had gone home and shouldn't have taken the order as table service finished at 11pm! He went and found or drinks. So it took almost an hour to get 2 drinks! The bed was very uncomfortable. The spa was OK. The treatments wer nice and the therapist was lovely but it was the most uncomfortable and the smallest treatment bed ever. It was very old and tatty underneath. Also very small as my arms didn't quite fit on it by my side. In the spa cafe area there were dirty food dishes sat for the whole time we were there, 1.15 until 3.45pm. Hotel is very tatty. Not a good place to stay apart from being very close to the NEC and very expensive.
The bed was comfy!
Restaurant food in The Boulevard was no better than school dinners. The food in Millers I had to send back twice! and still had an inedible steak, although they did refund. We had and executive room that only provided one bottle of water for the whole of our stay, there was black mould around the top of the sink and in the shower. They charge £9.00 a day parking for hotel residents which is unacceptable as I had to park in the back service road as it was so busy. The admin was poor meaning one of my staff was locked out of her room as they thought she had checked out....Worst Hilton ever
Close proximity to nec, v friendly staff - helpful. My daughter loved the pool.
Nothing really. It was just what we needed!
Great location if you're visiting the NEC. You wouldn't really stay there otherwise. Very clean. Great breakfast and on the whole great staff o and comfortable bed
Wanted to eat in the bar area but had nowhere to sit as it was so busy. The tables and chairs are very large and widely spread apart. I think they could fit more tables if they replanned the area.
cost of drinks
Location, breakfast, room facilities.
Bar with bar staff under pressure at night time.
proximity to NEC which was the purpose of our visit.
Twin room was sold as deluxe which wasn't the case, I would rate it a standard twin room so over priced in my opinion. Sat breakfast was a bit of a shambles, went to get hot buffet came back and our table had been given to someone else!! had to seek out a member of staff to get a hot drink.
