Nice bar and restaurant, nice reception area, staff very nice, nice leisure centre.
Bedroom too small, the 2 beds in the room we had was on wheels, every time ya hit against them they would move about, too be honest it didn't seem like a 4 star hotel in our room,I've been in way nicer 3 star hotels in the past.
Location very close to the NEC Very efficient friendly & welcoming Nice room, very clean and well laid out
Car Parking very congested with tight spaces On the expensive side for the room
Food was excellent. Staff Fantastic they could not do enough for you.
Not a very good selection of Red Wine would like to see more branded names and a fuller bodied wine.
Noisy Heating rattled all night Cigarette smoke wafting in through every vent
If your staying at the hotel I don't think you should be paying to park in hotel carpark
The Hilton has a great atmosphere and the location for the NEC is unbeatable. The breakfast is lovely everything you could ask for with lovely staff ensuring a well organised dining room.
The staff in the bar do not match the standard in the dining room, the food is fine but the staff although friendly need to organise themselves and communicate with the kitchen a bit better. We had long delays waiting for food and order mix ups, this does not encourage repeat business, quicker to go elsewhere.
Close to NEC fairgrounds, that English breakfast !
It was close to the exhibition centre so extremely good after a hectic few days of show
Room was supposed to have floor to ceiling windows and was advertised as deluxe - HA!!! It was small and dingy and had a window 4 foot wide by 1 foot tall at the top of the wall by the ceiling, allowing no natural light and no ventilation. The air con. dried the air out and was cold during the night. Extremely claustrophobic to say the least. The beds were wobbly and moved when ever you did, as they were on huge wheels which made them higher than normal and felt as if they would topple over if you moved too quickly. The TV didn't work and the whole room had a tired, worn out look about it. Extremely dissapointed.
Location, facilities, helpful staff
Uncomfortable old bed with sharp protruding wooden corners designed to damage lower legs - mine 3 times in same place!
I liked the convenience of everything. The restaurant was really good offering a full range of breakfasts. Drinks facility in the room , plenty of ingredients, sometimes lacking in other hotels. All in all ten out of ten
There wasn't anything that I didn't like
nice clean hotel and nice location next to nec. 5 mins walk to main entrance.
some bar staff were not very friendly found myself waiting ages at main bar waiting to be served when other people wandered up and were served straight away.come on Hilton why don't you train your bar staff on how to manage a bar properly !very poor!!
Excellent staff. Nothing too much trouble. Bar a bit pricey but only what you would expect I guess.
Nothing negative at all
excellent stay good choice of food, mid day room vacation.
coffee by bar too expensive,£4.62 for small cappuccino.
Friendly staff Location Breakfast Evening meal was not good and then our bill was £150 After I complaint it was then agreed that we were over charged.
Evening meal and the over charged bill.
-Great food. -Good location, walking distance to the NEC.
-Food is a little pricey.
Very convenient to n.e.c and classic car show. Good price too! Large room Fantastic breakfast! Staff Very helpful at breakfast too! Will definitely be my first choice again for the n.e.c thank you!
Slow to book in Room not ready No Bacardi in bar? What's that all about? Staff couldn't make a Pernod and black Parking was tight and awkward and pricy. Barrier was awkward for disabled and parking was awkward for them too.
Very convenient for the NEC.
Trains from the NEC into Birmngham are very very crowded at peak times. This of course is not the Hotels responsibility but would be a major headache if travelling with young children.
Location, facilities, service
Close proximity to mec
Shabby exec rooms - old lumpy bed- no robes-mean tea/coffee supplies,no biccies! No heated towel rail - no extra pillows - dated tv poor quality picture - £16.75 for glass merlot (in a dirty glass) +pint Stella (flat - staff not trained in pulling lager)
walking distance to the NEC.
The beds have wooden frames which stick out beyond the mattress especially on the corners, the room is very narrow and I knocked my shin in the corners, extremely poor design for a hotel. Generally the public areas were too busy.It was difficult to get a seat in the bar and the restaurant was just a bad and very noisy. The décor in places is very tatty. the bathroom fan did not work and the shower tap was missing its instructions plate. the first room we were given had been smoked in. Its obviously relies on its location close to the NEC otherwise no one would stay there.
comfort of bed and room Curtis staff good food
• Dirty and overheated room (faulty aircon.) • Inability of restaurant to cater for a full house: fully booked thus no tables available and no alternatives within walking distance • Overpriced / poor value for money buffet dinner • Overcharged / incorrect bill • Atrocious room with appalling “view” • Inadequate soundproofing – we got no sleep at all • Uncomfortable single hospital like beds (on wheels) with single duvets • Awoken at 4am by a member of staff for room service we did not order
Ideal walking location for NEC and handy for train into Birmingham New Street.
Swimming pool, close to NEC.
First room was close to noisy air conditioning, moved to another room which we subsequently found had a significant water leak which kept flooding the bathroom floor.
