Room satisfactory and clean Staff very helpful and even with it being such a large hotel did not have to wait long for meals when ordered
Corridor to room on arrival was full of bits of paper strewn along the corridor and also empty bottles these were still there the next morning and obviously had not been cleaned
Location was very good for the NEC
The air conditioning was broken so as a result the room was hot and when I opened the balcony door the hum from the machinery out on the flat roof kept me awake. The toilet blocked twice in one stay of only a night. The night staff were not very friendly when reporting this issue. Lastly, the iron & ironing board were like ironing a work shirt with a cold brick despite being turned on fully.
The staff were really helpful and the room was lovely. The breakfast choice was great and very tasty.
-the hotel was in good location to the train station -the facilities were very good including the swimming pool and sauna -the food was very good
-drinks were very expensive -staff would say they would do something then wouldn't -staff would Mather you and kind of mark the table
C of the hotelleanliness and position
I always find rooms far too hot and this was no exception. When opening the window there was some noise from some party goers outside
Wi-Fi or lack of it Overcrowded in lounge area, as its the only place to use the free wifi which was poor at the best of times
Our room 3229 was supposed to be a deluxe queen room, but it was not what I would have expected. Our friend had the same category of room and hers was as you would have expected from the website. Our room was very boxy and there was doors over by the bed (service cupboards) and they vibrated all night and we tried to block the doors but nothing helped.
breakfast was nice and value for money
everything else was terrible, room was dirty, food was cold and uncooked, the bed was disgusting and very uncomfortable, it was shocking to the point I have made a formal complaint.
Bed too hard bath needed replacing sofas in bar ripped
Breakfast was very good
Dinner at Miller was horrible and terrible expensive.we order by la cart.what a mistake!!! the pingeon of the salad was rubber, the terrinelittle bit off.as a main we order the crusty duck, the crust was not crusty at all and the meat was rubber again, frozen potatoes.we send it back and have a ribeye steak and chicken curry, share a dessert and a bottle of wine.£103 looks a little too much
Excellent Staff, efficient and friendly. Convenient for NEC
The staff on reception and concierge were very friendly and helpful. The location was good as it was a short walk, to the lg arena and the shuttle bus from the station was a nice addition.
For the money spent the room wasn't up to the standard i thought it would be. The beds were hard and not secured so they rolled about the room when you tried to get onto it. The bath was scratched and looked dirty which let down the rest of the bathroom.
One good thing the hotel was right next to the arena which we was going to so was walkable distance. The garlic dip with our food was beautiful!
The reception staff who greeted us seemed quite rude and he couldn't even make eye contact, he couldn't wait to finish dealing with us. The room location couldnt of been futher away with alot of noise disruption from outside in the early hours of the morning. Also the bar staff was poor when we arrived back from the concert, they acknowledged we was there but carried on serving people who come in after us.
I don't know if this is just because we were in a disabled room (we didn't request a disabled room but it was nice because it was big) but there was a light on the bottom of the wall that kept turning on every time we moved. It was annoying and made it take longer to fall asleep. On Sunday evening there was a sign in the lift that said fire alarms are tested every Monday at 8:30 am. I'd left by then but I would hate it if I wanted to sleep until 10. We kept getting lost because there aren't windows in the corridors and they all look the same. It's very expensive. The door to the "balcony" (just enough space to stand between the wall and the railing) in our bedroom didn't close properly so it was draughty. Domino's got lost trying to find the hotel so our pizza took hours to arrive.
Stayed here when attending a concert at the LG arena just a few minutes walk away. Although the hotel was extremely busy with people attending a couple of conventions there were plenty of staff around who were all helpful and courteous.
Had a bit of a wait for food when we came back to the hotel lounge, there was some confusion over orders probably due to the sheer number of guests. Bath tap didn't work so had to take a shower, we reported this on departure so hopefully was fixed for the next guest.
Proximity to LG Arena and Train Station and Airport
The receptionists Teena and Stephen were great and tried to iron out my problems. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh each morning.
The bed was so hard, I would have had a better night on the floor. The singing outside at 4.30 was annoying.
the zircon didnt work - it was pumping out hot air whilst registering 15 degrees. The room was stifling!! We had to open the window but there was a large aircon [?] unit outside which was very noisy so not a good nights sleep
Very convenient to NEC, where I was working on an exhibition stand. Room service was excellent for an evening meal.
Cost of parking - £22 is extortionate for hotel guests. Long distance between my room and the restaurant - too tired to go down on second night, so had room service.
Very close to the LG arena.
Extremely slow service at check-in. Booked a room with a "queen-size bed" arrived to a double bed to be told that's what they call a "queen-size". The toilet systen was broken so it wouldn't flush properly. The bed sheets were untucked and it was just led over the mattress. There were maltesers over the floor. The website claims to charge £9 for parking - we had to pay £22 for the parking in the hotel car park!!
Staff very helpful. Food was extremely good. Beds very comfortable.
The location was perfect! The hotel was spotless, breakfast was amazing!!
The bar staff were rude! And couldn't even be bothered putting a good order through so kept us waiting an hour without food! It was Pauling behaviour!
A welcome greeting from two staff members, different roles. Room very clean, Millars meal in the evening was excellent. Very convenient for NEC.
Not having fridge available in room.
Great location close to the NEC, service, room
No shower gel and bar quite expensive
We chose this hotel for its location, as we were going to an event at the LG Arena. This venue is only a short walk from the hotel. The hotel was very busy, but the service from reception and concierge was very good. Room was of good standard and clean.
Being charged for waiter service in the lounge bar (and not being made aware about it); Poor bar service on the Saturday evening due to the bar being insufficiently staffed; Being charged for a meal that I never had, although this was removed when challenged.
