Staff Parking Good Food on Site
Can hold some events with budget travelers who make excessive noise. As Millers is a restaurant do not know why staff dont direct them to bar area. Not good to try and eat after a long day at show with 50 people shouting and drinking.
overall comfort and use of executive lounge facilities. Location to the NEC hals.
Very crowded and no choice to have just one or two courses from the main menu in the evening. Could only eat in Millers (which is fine) but can be difficult to book and may not want this menu all the time either. Good room service menu but that meant eating in our room.
Every thing was just as it said in the book .
Only thing I was not happy about was I booked an early morning call as I had to be at b ham airport at 4am .that call never happend .
The facilities were excellent, pool sauna and gym were very good. Breakfast was excellent value for money when booked on-line. Hotel was very clean and staff very helpful.
Location is a bit odd if you want to go to the city centre Bed was very firm and moved about on wheels.
Location near to NEC
the bedrooms are dark and dingy bathroom very small
ease of access to nec luggage minding friendly accommodating staff
Close to NEC, 5 min walk view of the lake swimming pool
Too noisy within the bar/reception area. Horrible old fashioned carpets. Hotel which caters for a large number of guests, hence little/non charm.
Dirty , staff , service, the restaurants office chairs around a table , 1 hour wait for breakfast . Very poor hotel for the hilton chain .
The hotel is in a good location for working at the NEC. Breakfast was very good and restaurant food was good and value for money.
Unfortunately the staff do not live up to the Hilton reputation. I stayed for 6 nights and used the bar and restaurant each day. It was so badly managed and it seemed that the majority of staff had been shipped in without any training. Service in all locations was unbelievably slow and nobody seemed to really care.
Price of food and beverage. Price of in room internet.
Staff were very pleasent and helpfull
Bed was hard. Bathroom smelt also you could not turn off the bath hot tap fully. Stains in bath. Restaurant furniture had stains on chair. Milk jug had a chip around the rim.
Bed was great Staff were great
Required car to get to airport Walk to room was long (over by conference center)
the spacious room and the room being clean
There was a cot in the room. The noise from outside and the distace from the station and airport
The room was very chic with nice chairs, hairdryer, iron board, iron, etc. I had a wedding to go to and everything I needed to get ready was in the room. The apple mac television was of good quality. Shower was very good and toiletries were better than average.
The shower room seemed to get too warm after the shower and the air con had to be turned up afterwards to counteract the heat
Location. Very close to NEC and a shuttle bus to and from. We ate in the buffet restaurant. Basically carvery. Good food but very little veg. choice. Room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful.
I attended a salsa congress at this venue. Staff in all areas of hotel were helpful and efficient. There was always the personal touch. This surprised me in a hotel of this size. It was a very busy weekend being the bank holiday. However there was always a very calm atmosphere. Looking forward to going back.
Location is good, with lovely wooded area and a lake between the hotel and NEC. Close to trains with shuttle service for station.
NOISE! little or no soundproofing. Every door bangs and vibrations are felt with every bang. Bad at 2-3am as revellers stagger back. Then again at 6am as people who are on business start their day. I had to sleep during the day when I was meant to be working but just could not function.
Everything was lovely from the meeter greeter to direct me to the footpath to the LG to the bar staff, nothing was too much trouble ! My sofa bed was made up on arrival without me having to ask, and the executive lounge was faultless, lovely food and drink - what a treat !
Beds could be more comfortable, old coil sprung mattresses which are hard and bounce when partner moves kept waking me up.
Mattress was very comfortable as were the pillows. Breakfast selection nice and staff helpful.
Noise from every single door on the corridor being banged between 10pm and 12.30 am when sleep was disturbed. Also, children running around upstairsat midnight.
Bathroom: the water didn't go through the sink drain and the bathroom smelled like mold Lounge area: the hotel was full of conference people, senior etc and the noise was non-acceptable. Had to take room service instead of eating in the lounge.
Service charge for table service in bar
Nice location and nice public areas for our convention. Most staff were helpful and approachable.
Rooms are not air conditioned and they had no fans available. Very uncomfortable in our room. Some staff were snappy and not very helpful.
Living well facilities were good no hassles to use facilities, pool and gym were clean areas
Annoyed as when checking in at 4pm told prebooked room with a view wasn't ready and after a further half hour wait it still wasn't ready and we were given alternative room 'with a view' of the bus stop, fire escape and delivery entrance... Constant asking for payment by staff (bonus scheme or something?) when everything was already fully paid for. We were awoken at 7am demanding payment for breakfast when it had already fully paid for on arrival the day before -apparently system error. We were also continuously harassed for payment of car park when it was fully paid for
