Excellent Staff, efficient and friendly. Convenient for NEC
The staff on reception and concierge were very friendly and helpful. The location was good as it was a short walk, to the lg arena and the shuttle bus from the station was a nice addition.
For the money spent the room wasn't up to the standard i thought it would be. The beds were hard and not secured so they rolled about the room when you tried to get onto it. The bath was scratched and looked dirty which let down the rest of the bathroom.
One good thing the hotel was right next to the arena which we was going to so was walkable distance. The garlic dip with our food was beautiful!
The reception staff who greeted us seemed quite rude and he couldn't even make eye contact, he couldn't wait to finish dealing with us. The room location couldnt of been futher away with alot of noise disruption from outside in the early hours of the morning. Also the bar staff was poor when we arrived back from the concert, they acknowledged we was there but carried on serving people who come in after us.
Stayed here when attending a concert at the LG arena just a few minutes walk away. Although the hotel was extremely busy with people attending a couple of conventions there were plenty of staff around who were all helpful and courteous.
Had a bit of a wait for food when we came back to the hotel lounge, there was some confusion over orders probably due to the sheer number of guests. Bath tap didn't work so had to take a shower, we reported this on departure so hopefully was fixed for the next guest.
Proximity to LG Arena and Train Station and Airport
The receptionists Teena and Stephen were great and tried to iron out my problems. The breakfast was plentiful and fresh each morning.
The bed was so hard, I would have had a better night on the floor. The singing outside at 4.30 was annoying.
the zircon didnt work - it was pumping out hot air whilst registering 15 degrees. The room was stifling!! We had to open the window but there was a large aircon [?] unit outside which was very noisy so not a good nights sleep
Staff very helpful. Food was extremely good. Beds very comfortable.
The location was perfect! The hotel was spotless, breakfast was amazing!!
The bar staff were rude! And couldn't even be bothered putting a good order through so kept us waiting an hour without food! It was Pauling behaviour!
A welcome greeting from two staff members, different roles. Room very clean, Millars meal in the evening was excellent. Very convenient for NEC.
Not having fridge available in room.
Great location close to the NEC, service, room
No shower gel and bar quite expensive
The staff were very pleasant and obliging. The room was a good size and the bathroom was more than adequate.
We had a twin de luxe room and one single mattress was worn out. I had a bad night as a result. We were in room 4082. This was a pity as everything else was good. Beverages were also outrageously expensive. £6 for bottled water is excessive.
Very clean hotel, rooms very comfortable. Iwas in newly refurbished single room which was great. Excellent breakfast.
Bar prices are scandalous.
Everything apart from bed was excellent
not told bath room was for disabled. As being able body, shower area to small. Tiled area looking very tired. Noise from out side because building work.. No biscuits. No bottled water. This is standard in a other hotels B/B for £50 a night less than we paid NOT HAPPY room number 2049
Close to nec
Bar expensive small glass of wine £7.. Queen room beds are small if you are 6"+. Restraunt service slow . We booked a table for 9pm. Were seated at 10. - too late
The Staff on the check in were fast and very efficient. Our room was functional and comfortable. The Hotel was clean, the food good and our stay enjoyable. The reason for our visit was to go to the NEC which is literally 5 mins from the Hilton.
I object strongly to having a 10% Service Charge added to my Restaurant Bill. Written underneath in Capitals was the word 'TIP'. Without scrutinizing said bill it would be easy to miss the smaller print informing you of the 10% Service Charge. You could, therefore, end up paying 10% AND a tip! I had the Service Charge removed and tipped our Waiter personally.
Just right for our visit to the NEC. The staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was very good but service was lacking
The room was dark and poorly lit
The room was easy to find and was a good size and well organised. The staff were mainly very friendly and helpful. When we went down for breakfast the staff were brilliant and we were asked if we would like tea or coffee and it was brought to our table promptly. Breakfast was really nice.
On check in the gentleman that checked us didn't speak very clearly and was very difficult to understand. We had to call for maintenance as the heating didn't work correctly. The bath in the room could have used a good clean as it looked very grubby.
Location for NEC
Food and beverage prices
Location, bed, shower, staff, breakfast. Single room was small but had everything one person could need for an overnight stay.
Bar food and drinks were expensive. When I asked for Bacardi I was served another brand of rum without being told. When I queried the taste the barman confirmed it wasn't Bacardi and offered me a different drink instead.
Friendly welcome, helpful staff and a comfortable room.
Breakfast, meals were excellent but expensive. Alcohol was expensive service great.
Poor cleanliness of room. Bathroom leaking. Hand towels taken for cleaning and not replaced. Tea and coffee not replaced when used.
