Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel    

The welcome at reception and concierge was excellent. Our room was clean, comfortable and just right for our needs. We would definitley visit again (but would have to save up first)

We couldn't see any visible tariff for the evening meal, which was a buffet. Although the food was gorgeous!

Isolated so you are really stuck there without travellin at night.

the food, some of which was inedible; the car parking - I thought I was in jail, Gleneagles is less hassle; the check-in - you'd sent me the booking, but not told them; I was a big surprise to them, and the lassie on the desk got flustered and gave me wrong info.

Decor was good. Handy for the NEC.

Not much for the money paid.

Location was hard to find no signs from the airport. Rooms and bed felt basic. No comp water or fridge or face cloth. Breakfast was tasteless and background music was desperately needed to break the sterile feel of the dining room.

All the staff were friendly and courteous. Great customer service.

The price of the wine!

I liked how close it was to the nec The swimming pool was lovely.

Lack of sensible choice on the bar menus for vegetarian and wheat free as there was nothing apart from a salad that would have been an option for me to eat apart from at breakfast. I had to eat elsewhere due to this so you are loosing out due to un imaginative menu planning and extortionate costs, not sensible when there are several other local hotels and eateries that offer a wider, more cost effective menu. I personally eat fish but am also wheat free, but dislike salads for a main meal, healthy options should not be just salad based. Your buffet dinning was shut for the 2 nights that I stayed, I'm sure that there would have been something more to my liking in there.

Convenience for NEC & LG Arena.

Worn,tired room/bathroom & corridor. De luxe room in older wing not de luxe. No fridge. £170 per night without breakfast but with additional £8 crowded parking not value for money.

Nice entrance and god parking facilities.

Room was dirty, toilet had not been cleaned. Had no shampoo or body wash in rooms.

My Aunt and I were attending a three day convention at the hotel and it was the place we needed to be. We both found all staff extremely helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and our room very clean, bright and comfortable, We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.

ontbijt was onder de maat - hete lampen op vleeswaren/kaas en gebakken eieren koud - fruit was bijna bevroren - te lang in een te koude koeling gestaan.

Easy check-in and check-out - no delays.

A la carte restaurant a bit lacking in choice and decor.

The room was very plush and clean. We had an executive room which was nice.

shame the bed wasn't a bit bigger, but I suppose it was a double room. Double beds in budget hotels are slightly wider. We checked in at 11:25 and in a very busy hotel there was only 1 member of staff on check-in, so we had to wait 10/15 minutes which was a shame.

It's spotlessly clean, our room was a nice size. Very nice good nights sleep, no noise of other guests going to their rooms late at night.

Downside it overlooked the roof & a nearby building site. Drinks & food very, very expensive. We had breakfast at a nearby mcdonalds :) £19.50 for a burger & chips and £12.50 for a ppint of beer & a single whiskey & lemonade. i didnt use any of the hotel facilities, so can't possible say what there like.

Breakfast was superb in terms of service, choice and quality.

The drinks in the main bar - both alcoholic and soft drinks - were very expensive and as such not good value compared to other Hilton hotels

Went up for a concert at the NEC. Very close - 5 minute walk. Friendly check-in staff. Would use again for same purpose, or for Birmingham Airport.
