did change us very quickly the next day
put us in a room with no aircon and it was so hot
REPORTED BROKEN MIRROR & WASH BASIN IN BATHROOM WHICH WAS NOT ACTIONED..STAYED 3 NIGHTS WANTED BREAKFAST IN ROOM BUT TWICE HAD TO GO TO RECEPTION FOR ORDER FORM
Most other things. Dated and just not worth the money
The location is great
Too expensive for this room condition, room is just ok, not valuable for this price anyway.
The breakfast was great. Huge choice and friendly staff with a great service.
Slow checking in only two staff on front desk until a third member finally came. Rooms need updating especially the bathroom. Fridge didn't work. A maintenance man did come said he would be back but never returned to replace fridge so got a ice bucket. He did say he was based at the gat wick hotel not that it should of made a difference. Still had a good time in Brighton and would stay there again
The shower curtain is too long, often covering the sink hole, causing overflow in the shower
Size of room Comfortable bed Lovely staff
No biscuits with complimentary tea tray
The hotel has great location. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely dinner at the hotels restaurant for a reasonable price. Breakfast was good with lots of choice. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
The only thing I didn't like at this hotel was the pool and the gym. First of all they are too small for the size if the hotel and they need updating. Changing rooms were not clean.
Got to our room to find blood stains on the floor, asked a member of staff but she got very defensive and said it was red paint but the walls weren't red. The reception did sort it out and changed our room.
Breakfast and afternoon tea lovely, however you need to be hungry for the afternoon tea, thought one was adequate for two people. Pool facilities good, and staff very polite and helpful.
The room on sixth floor was very stuffy, no air con and rather tatty, bit disappointed.
Single bed was very large and quiet
Windows couldn't open very far and bathroom was a bit dated
the rooms were very old fashioned and out dated ... the bed was not comfortable and the rooms was very hot.
The staff were nice and the room service good.
The room was very shabby, not 4 star at all. There was no mini bar or option of. No bath robes. The mirror and basin in bathroom was cracked. The door was broken. There was only one bedside lamp. Quite possibly the worst Hilton I've stayed in.
General Facilities and friendliness of staff
Size of the single rooms on the small side. Nothing else
Liked that we were given a lovely room with a private balcony with fabulous coastal view. Breakfast dining room was spacious and food was excellent. Staff were courteous and kind.
Price of room service seems to be rather high, but had no need to use the service, as there are so many great restaurants in Brighton.
Facility was poor, staff in swimming area was not helpful, no baby changing area, no free wifi. Breakfast was so busy, we had been waiting for ages to get frid egg and boid egg. Hardly to see Waffle for my kids.
The facilities were clean and the food was fabulous!
location high class appearance
brusque curt staff who found the smallest request irksome. The dining room staff were particularily inefficient as if they had not been trained.Had to clear our own table in spite of request . One waitress served orange juice in a tea cup !! On our second day one waitress said when asked to seat us " you have been here before and know the drill " then walked off to talk to a friend. One person stood out as an example of how it should be done-HOWARD- kind courteous efficient humorous. His attitude to a 99 year old solo traveller was everything you could have expected. This place is reminiscent of hotels in the bad old days.
Insufficient lifts especially during a maintenance spell
Staff where nice Food in bar was nice but overpriced. Lovely to sit and look out at sea while sipping a drink. Room was very hot, either aircon or better ventilation would be better. WiFi signal was practically non existant. Id recommend for such a well established chain of hotels that WiFi should be complimentary throughout the premises. Spent majority of my stay out exploring Brighton, so for the few hours each day I stayed it was sufficent.
The bar area and generally communal areas were very nice.
Rooms are dated, dirty, stuffy. The beds are very uncomfortable and noisy. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
Service in evening restaraunt very poor considering it was not busy
The food was terrible. Not good enough
Great location. Friendly staff.
The hotel is quite old and some room furnishings are in poor condition. The price is too high for the facilities and services provided.
- Location - Nice Staircase - Room was clean
- Old fashioned - Room had no air conditioning - Room Toilet was broken - No Internet in Room - Room stunk of food in the morning - No amenities available in the room (bring your own water) - Staff not friendly
