With its sumptuous Renaissance style, The Grand Brighton has a magnificent location on Brighton’s seafront and is just a 10-minute walk from Brighton Pier.

On the seafront in the heart of Brighton's 'Lanes', this friendly hotel has a pool, gym and free Wi-Fi. It is well-located for nightlife, restaurants and the beach.

Overlooking the seafront, The Thistle Brighton is just 400 metres from the Brighton Pier and the Royal Pavilion. It offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a restaurant with sea views, a pool and a spa.
Score from 1233 reviews Very good
Floorboards under the bed creaked which meant that any movement made a noise and kept us awake most of the night
The most wonderful decadence and charm of the foyer and restaurant, the Victorian staircase beautiful.
The fact that whilst we thought we had booked a superior room with a sea view, what we had was a small room on the 4th floor with a view that was only visible if you stood on the counter type table top attached to the wall, one thing that was very visible was the filthy dirty carpet! the room was so hot if felt like a sauna, and out of the two windows on one opened slightly. this was so upsetting and disappointing that i went to ask for another room, in fairness i was offered two alternatives, one being indentical to the one we already had and the second being on the first floor, which had a bathroom the size of our original room, with a balcony. it is very disappointing that you have to complain to receive a room which you thought you were going to get for the price you and paid. However in fairness the Hilton did offer us a free bottle of still or sparkling water, this i think says it all. Needless to say we will not stay there again.
Location was ideal for a show at the conference centre. I'm glad we opted for the seaview room, as i wouldnt have liked looking out to a wall or building as in some rooms. The breakfast was amazing. Staff were so polite, and cleanliness was good.
Couldnt really fault anything, though would have liked the balcony or patio door so we could see outside without having to climb on units. Parking was expensive but on par with other local hotels.
efficiency of housekeeping, relatively spacious single room and bathroom
Temperature adjustment in the shower did not work at first, had to wait 1 hour for a mechanic to come in and fix it. Room was very warm even with radiators turned off (2nd floor facing other buildings). Windows open only a little and outside is quite noisy.
The location was excellent. The room itself was very clean.the staff were helpful.
The bed was very poor . It made a loud noise at the slightest movement. The television was outdated and could not get a good picture on it. The car park cost an extra £20 for overnight parking. It does not say this when you book the hotel. I no parking is expensive in Brighton. But a mention would help.
Location was excellent. This is what you are paying for really.
Small room for price. Mess left in public areas from event. Breakfast not included in expensive room rate.
I loved the large TV in the room together with a good powerful hairdryer. If the room got too hot there was a fan for your use. The breakfast room had all you could ever imagine to eat for a breakfast. A very large choice of foods. Reading the daily paper whilst eating good quality bacon and eggs, looking at the sea was fantastic. Love this Hotel.
location friendly satff breakfast selection good
Location Room size Bathroom Toiletries
Spa area General decor
Room was too hot
Value for money Cleanliness Great breakfast
Over-priced drinks in bar Awful check in experience Dated room decor
I only stayed here because my works Christmas do was being held in the hotel. And £85 didn't include breakfast, that would have been extra which I refused to pay. The dial on room temperature control was broken off so I didn't have anyway controlling the temp in the room to what I wanted. Fan cover in the bathroom was held on with what looked like cellotape.
General facilities and ambiance. Staff, bar and restaurant.
Bathrooms were very dated and in need of modernisation
The location, opulence and staff
The bedroom was far too hot and the air conditioning had been disabled so we had to open a window during a massive storm. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep
Coffee in room rationed to 1 cup per day bottled water not replenished after first night rubbish in room not cleared after first night, tv channels pixelling bad sound, premier inn next time. Hilton cannot survive on the name with service like this
Room dirty, carpet badly stained, door damaged, bath panel damaged, air vent in bathroom dirty mould in bathroom. Bar staff very up themselves actually had to ask to be served as my wife and myself where being ignored. It was meant to be a treat and was very disappointed.
Old furniture Carpet is stained Not earned the money value
Great location and bar/lounge
I booked single guestroom, the room was too small to swing the proverbial cat! It had a single bed with a lumpy, wobbly mattress which made me feel as if I was going to roll off at any point. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't use the loo or the wash-basin without closing the door. GBP 15 for one days wi-fi is ludicrous especially when most hotels include this as free!
The food and staff were very good.
The room was very small for a deluxe room. The bed uncomfortable, not much complementary items in room no biscuits ltd milk. Only one large towel for a double room.
Double room wasn't a double the it was a single room with a small double bed crammed aginst the wall so you had ro hurdle over your partner to get out. Left early won't use again.
Large TV screen ,breakfast very good as were the staff
Bathroom sink was cracked with a wobbly tap, cheap toilet tissue, very uncomfortable noisy creaky bed confined within a small room with a low ceiling
friendly staff Nice room comfy bed
no free wifif
Good position for the Brighton Centre and the hotel staff are very friendly. Hotel is really clean and breakfast was good while a bit pricey.
No central heating in the room although there was a plug in heater. There was a constant drone during the night from a group of air conditioning units which were sited outside our room.
good facility and comfortable bed
location great and very close to major shopping centre. Hotel parking easy but expensive at £20 per day. To be fair, they waived the parking fee for the two nights because of the difficulties I experienced.
Room every hot and no temperature control. Have a long wait at check in because they did not believe the rate I got with booking.com. Eventually agreed to let me in for that rate but had same problem at check out -so not staff communication on this. Promised to email me the credit card receipt as could not process my check out due to questions on the rate. Still had to call them to get it! Long queues for breakfast and also for coat and bag check. Not managing to cope very well with 2 conventions on at same time.
