Score from 1681 reviews Very good
Size and peacefulness of room and location was quite good for access to city centre. Brekkie was varied and tasty.
Signage for entrance could be better located, not everyone has sat nav!
The staff were particularly polite and helpful and responded very quickly when we discovered a problem with the toilet cistern. Though not luxurious, the hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable and served us well on this occasion. The breakfast menu was extremely good: much appreciated.
I did take exception to having to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke when passing through the main entrance. There is a designated smoking area to one side of the entrance but smokers still congregate very close to the door. I suspect they have no idea how antisocial that is.
the hotel is situated a little out of Bristol city centre but a few minuets walk you will find a toby carvery pub, indian restaurant .. chinese takeaway and a chippy so always something to eat .. as well as a couple of supermarkets .. the pool was lovely and warm as were all the staff and always ready to help .. hotel food was good too .. rooms were clean and fresh ..
Bed mattress less than comfortable
Nothing was too much trouble
Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough to help.
Flush in bathroom didn't work properly and water in shower just a trickle.
Good facilities,no issues with room or breakfast. Easy to find
Payment was taken a week before..didn't expect that?? Thought idea was pay when you stay??? Unless I missed something on this one? Makes me wary now....
Deposit on card taken for extras in advance
Nice swimming pool and Gym
The hotel would need a little refurbishing. Quite shameful to get ypur customers pay parking in suvh a desolate industrial area.staff were not very helpful. Gym forbidden to children under 16 . Should be clearly stated .... Staff really not
Great staff, all friendly, polite and helpful. A useful location to break journey between Ldn and St Ives. Room clean, pleasant, comfortable. Food fine, not wonderful. Our second stay and we'd definitely stay again.
We stayed only one night and did not have breakfast. Everything was fine and for what we paid (£53) it was remarkable value for money. The pool sauna and steam room were good although the water pressure in the showers was very low. The breakfast looked tasty with plenty of choice. We would definitely stay here again.
£3:95 if you open the bottle of water in the room seems a bit over the top.
You ecould do with some signage on the approach roads to show exactly which turnings to take when approaching by car.
Everything was good, the staff made it amazing
Only thing got woken up at 8am by the maid trying to clean the room, was then told it was our own fault because we hadn't put the do not disturb sign on the door
quite clean friendly
car park £5 bottle water £3
As a family of 5 with 3 teens, the family room and double room were perfectly adequate. The leisure facilities in the attached health club like the indoor pool and steam room were a welcome respite after a long car journey. Whilst standard fare, the English buffet breakfast was abundant and satisfied even my hungry teens. They also appreciated the free WIFI. The complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee , iron and hair-dryer in both rooms as well as the his and her bath robes and slippers, complimentary bottles of water and bottle of nuts in our double room, were special touches that made a difference. At the special rates available on Booking.com, I was thoroughly satisfied with the whole stay which came to under £130.
What a shame about the lumpy mattress and flat pillows! Although exhausted after the long journey, we struggled to stay asleep as we felt every lump and heard every spring recoil. It may have just been our bad luck though as the children in the other room had no such complaints.
Location to motorway M4 Excellent attention from reception staff. Friendly and efficient.
Meal in restaurant, bland. Meal appeared to have got lost, 40 min. wait, then after comment to waiter, appeared 1 minute later!
overall very good.
only downside was I was on a noisy corridor, young children and pets.
Breakfast in the Restaurant was very good with excellent waitress service, even though it was self service for most things.
When we arrived there was a large put-u-up bed in the room, we informed reception and put it outside of our room. The cleanliness in the bathroom was a lot to be desired. The bed was too soft for us, but perhaps would suit some people. Both bedside lamps hummed which was irritating when reading. although we were warm the ventilation in the room was very poor. We stayed here to be near relations but if we had paid he normal rate and not he special rate we paid I would have been very disappointed. Normally when visiting we stay at the Premier Inn at Cribbs Causeway which I would give a 5 star rating.
extra litte touches in the bathroom
no fridge in the room
Bed creaked noisily every time I moved. Had to tell staff several times that I did not have a car in the car park.
The Hilton is near to our daughter and family, and we have stayed there several times when pressure on space in their home is heavy. It's become a tradition that family come over on Christmas Eve for hotel breakfast and a swim in the pool. It's always been excellent value for money and very comfortable.
The first room we were allocated smelt of fresh paint, but staff re-located us without any fuss, and we later discovered had given us a complementary breakfast as compensation.
The Hilton charged us upfront - not only for the room, but for the parking and for £50 a day of room service fees - which would only be returned to us 'within three to five days' of checking out. The parking was expensive despite being listed as free on the website, and there was no where else to park. The website told us that there was free wifi in public areas of the hotel - this wasn't true. Our room was absolutely filthy - dust on every door and picture frame, grime round the edge of the carpet where it met the skirting board. The '24hr' gym and pool were supposed to be accessible to hotel guests outside of public opening hours. They weren't. Staff were disinterested in helping us with our bags, checking us in or out of the hotel or serving us at the bar. The hotel was loud all day and all night, with loud thumping music from the other end of the hotel clearly audible until around 2am.
Our one night stay is pleasant & we feel good atmosphere & professional staff, next visit perarity Hilton Hitel.
All is well
The room and en suite were very spacious and the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. Staff were polite and efficient. Choice of breakfast was good, although we had to queue to be shown to our table.
The jacuzzi in the leisure centre wasn't working. It was very difficult to regulate the showers - the water was either scalding or freezing. The taxi company the hotel used had drivers who were shabbily dressed and could not speak English and didn't understand where we wanted to go. We had to wait for another taxi firm so all in all we had to wait over 40 minutes. By association these things didn't reflect well on the Hilton brand.
