Nice staff, nice location, nice hostel for young people
No wi-fi in rooms
I liked the friendly staff
No lift, we were carrying a lot of luggage and had a room on the 3rd floor. Breakfast is poor. Wi-Fi only gets to certain areas. Expecting a double room and only got a very narrow room with 2 separate beds.
friendly members provided me all information i asked about, including help with finding one uni campus and giving me a map. Moreover, i found usefull lugguage room where you could leave your bags till 6pm on the next day. Breakfast is not bad.
There is no wifi and many sockets in rooms though, but it is alright if you stay only for a night.
We had a private room.
Room wasn't as nice as thought on booking. No wifi in room.
The service and location. Very close to Piccadilly Gardens.
The facilities. But you can't expect more than how much you've paid.
My dad booked this coz I'm a numbnuts and got lost on my way back home via the trains. Tad noisy but what do ta expect?Fantastic price for a bed in the city centre and a close walk to all the amenities
Stag party returning at 2am
It is well located !?
The beds are really old and are too noisy , it is hard to rest. The price is not worth it , the staff doesnt really care . The kitchen and the common room are really small. Bad experience!!..
Staff were approachable and friendly. It was all very clean, including the communal areas as the location was amazing - right in the centre of the Northern Quarter. Take ear plugs as the street is noisy at night but that's the pay off for staying in the hub on town.
Great location. Clean room. Good facilities. Quiet.
One half of the bed was broken but other half was comfy.
great breakfast knowledgeable and approachable staff
the location is good. The room temperature was ok.
The breakfast was a complete joke. It included bread, butter and... jam. Using hot watter between 8-10 and 18-20 was impossible. You get far less than you pay for.
close to the city centre and a very friendly and customer centred staff.
towels aren't changed every day
Location - proximity to city centre but the streets were pretty grubby and on Friday & Saturday evening there was a higher than normal level of littering.
The twin room was a long single room with two beds tucked top to bottom instead of side by side. The images on the website are misleading suggesting a boutique hostel (as does the price). In reality the grubby walls, television with no remote and damp on the window sills didn't reflect this! The night clerk was a jobsworth demanding to see our paper card (the one with the map and vouchers) to prove we were staying at the hostel, rather than referring to the room card in our possession and checking our details on the system! We asked the receptionist the location of the Newton Street hostel where we were going to meet our friends at the bar and were not advised that we could receive discounted drinks! The cost! Seriously, the price was an absolute joke!
Excellent location & friendly staff
There was a note that after 11:00 people should not make noise to respect others ... however the internal yard was extremely noisy at around midnight and even at 04:00 with semi-drunk youngsters .... the receptionist should have told them something as i'm sure s/he heard them. Would not suggest it as a place for travellers on weekends ... we could not sleep
Me and my friend came on a spontaneous trip to Manchester just for a night out, and we couldn't of stayed in a better place for it. Everything was perfectly clean, the over night staff were kind and answered our drunken queries with no problem whatsoever. The location is perfect as it's only a 5 minute walk away from anything in the Northern quarter. We didn't realise check out was at 11am, and thought it was 12pm, the staff knocked on our door and kindly let us know and didn't kick up any fuss. We will be returning :)
Room was a bit cold but they provide a blanket so it was alright :)
Reception service is very nice and kind; bathroom is clean and warm, I like this hostel! The location is convenient as we'll
Locating in the city center and the window cannot totally shut down, I can not sleep the whole night because the noise outside!
WiFi is only accessible in the lobby
Room was a bit cool.you need new windows perhaps?
Staffs are friendly
To make it short..rooms are too cold especially this winter time (room 102) they always put me in room 102 , i dnt know y..
they are very helpful, clean place and its in the centre
the stairs as there was no lift
breakfast was included and good for a hostel quality . bathroom was clean .
stay there 4 nights , first night was super freezing , not sure if the heater was on or not , but i was there only one in the room, had to layer up all over me .
Everything there was really good
This is a very good hostel and the place was very clean.
Member of staff screaming in my ear at 3am in the morning to tell me that the bed I had been sleeping in for 3 days was not my bed. Everyone was in the wrong but he decided to drag me to reception and let me have the bed. This was unacceptable.
