Good location for walking and hiking in the Cairngorms The bathroom in our room was moldy, damp and smelly and fairly grim and not something you'd expect from the look of the rest of the hotel and the price. Our double room was about half the size of the really spacious twin room we had booked for our friend for the same night.

The food. The menu was extremely good even in the Club House Restaurant, which was not the a la carte restaurant. Good hearty food with an exotic twist. The location is also very good.Great views of the hills and surroundings even during bad weather. Great gym as well. The hotel is on multiple levels and getting to bedrooms on the upper floors from reception requires the use of two elevators and quite a walk. Not easy with heavy luggage.

Location The standard of food was unnaceptable, especially the buffet at the lochaber suite. the breakfast could have been much better and not what I would expect of the Hilton chain! The rooms were too small and very dated and not at all up to the standard I would expect for a Hilton. Overall I was not impressed at all with the Hilton Craigendarroch hotel. This hotel could be so much better as the location is absolutley perfect.

Excellent hotel in beautiful setting with great facilities and staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Food brilliant too. Hotel rates normally quite expensive- but got a great deal through booking.com so this made it excellent value for money!

For the purposes of our visit it was a good choice. The hotel is in need of upgrading, the public areas are tired, carpets are worn, paint chipped and the bathroom in 46 was ridculously small. It was odd that our daughter was placed in a large room in the old part of the house when we were placed in the rather bunker like new wing. The Club House building design is odd, it does not make use of the views, the dark glass windows in Scotland in the middle of the winter does not work at all. Staffa t breakfast were very 'stressed'. The breakfast buffet at 9.30 was depleted of a number of things on both mornings so -food resourcing needs attention.

We chose the Hilton craigendarroch as we have been a few times previously. The reason for this stay was a special break to celebrate our anniversary and the soon arrival of our first child. We were delighted to be offered a free upgrade on our room, however there were a few aspects on our stay that we felt fell below the hotels usual standards. The pool was especially cold and a number of other guests were also complaining about the water temperature. This was a shame as the pool was one of the main reasons we'd chosen to return to the Hilton. The restaurant service was very slow, yet fairly quiet due to the time of year. It seemed somewhat disorganised, with waitress staff paying particular attention to a larger group and seeming to forget about other diners. We sat for over 20mins after our starters were finished before our dirty plates were cleared away. It was such a shame to encounter these issue in a hotel we'd normally not be able to fault.

Nice area and lovely location and building. The staff were very nice too The room was very shabby with badly stained carpets, badly worn material on chairs, damp on curtians, bathroom in a poor state of repair, very limited refreshments in the room.

The location was perfect for what we wished to do. Our room was very comfortable and the reastaurants/bar provided adequate variety of food. Swimming pool was very good as was the Gym. The room was very warm. Windows could be opened although a little stiff. A ceiling fan would be welcome.

Breakfast was very good indeed, with plenty to choose from. I did not like the location of our room or the outlook. Unfortunately we were overlooking the backyard and dustbins and there was a generator under our window which was very noisy all night.

The views from a resonable sized bedroom & a very comfortable bed The check-in was very slow mainly due to people checking into the Lodges and there was little space to accommodate people. The hotel is looking tired and shows signs of lack of investment. Bedrooms not easy to get to and key did not work - had to return to reception to be told that only put the key in 3/4 and this should work- it did! Bathroom very small.Food did not live up to expectations and the smell of chlorine while eating was not conducive to a pleasant meal nor was sitting on banqueting seats at an unbalanced table

We did not use the spa nor the swimming pool but if we had had the time, this would probably have been nice. The surrounding was fantastic. The location was a bit away from the village center. The beds was too hard. Totally impression is: Not value for the money.
