Location is gorgeous The rooms were very small and the views were the only obvious reason for the price. Stairwells and corridors were scruffy. |

The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings with a very impressive mile long drive. It is in a secluded setting yet within easy walking distance of Dunkeld, either along a woodland path or by the river .Very comfortable and welcoming with good facilities. The drinks were very expensive. |

the pace of life there, ie. nice and relaxed The dress code after 6.30 pm when jeans and t-shirts were not allowed in the public areas, an attitude which is outdated. |

The staff were more than helpful. And breakfast was brilliant, good food, and lots of choice. It was overpriced for what you got, but would have been a good deal if you managed to get the 2 nights for the price of one deal. |

The setting is very nice. The staff are very helpful. Hotel has an aura of times past. Room disabled type, view of rear car park, menu for dinner was similar to our stay in spring. bar expensive. Other guests noisy |

Good selection of food at breakfast time. Our request to have 4 rooms together was not met, even though this had been promised. |

The staff were very pleasant and our room was a good size. These were the only good points about this hotel. We had a basic room, there was duct tape over the carpet and rips that needed attention. The room was large, however it was in serious need of redecoration and the bathroom was very dated. There was no minibar in the room and no air conditioning. The quality of the breakfast was very poor, everything was deep fried and very greasy. I bumped into a friend who had a superior room which she said was more modern. |

The setting is stunning and the grounds and walks around the hotel are beautiful. The room was rather dated and could have done with being redecorated. |

Beautiful surroundings within easy access of town centre via woodland walkways. The room was a bit dated and it overlooked the tradesman's carpark ! |

The grounds are spectacular. The river, the walking paths, all of it, are marvelous. The free shuttle into the village of Dunkeld was very nice. The complimentary buffet breakfast is one of the best that I have ever seen. We did not expect an evening dress code. We have stayed at many Hilton's in the USA and never encountered a dress code, except in some of the swankiest restaurants located inside Hilton Hotels. In this case, all of the entire public areas have a dress code after 6:30 . My boyfriend only travels with jeans so we could not enjoy dinner there. |

The grounds are lovely and our lunches and drinks on the sun terrace were very good. Staff attentive and are good. Breakfast options are good. Helps when inclusive but would not pay price separately. Would recommend a stay at the right price with breakfast included. The restriction in evenings to a la carte meals was not good and dinner was expensive if you are there for more than a 1 night stay - a supper option would be good. Competition for food in thetown and general area was available though. The dinner quality was not as good as I would expect from a 4 star country house hotel. Had better in lesser hotels/restaurants. Some of the bar prices are as high as you would expect though. Room decor and fittings need updating. |

The facilities & the staff. They went out of their way to accommodate me whn my computer crashed. The reception was not good. We arrived laden with baggage & there was no-one to assist us. We had to make a return visit to the desk to cart all our bags to the room. |

Terrace was excellent - the good weather helped. Stunning outlook over the River Tay. Service - though friendly - was slow and often inefficient. Orders forgotten or confused. |

I loved the peace and quiet, the beautiful surroundings. Choice of food was excellent and the staff in the dining room were very professional. Yes, unfortunately the staff at the reception when we arrived did not give us good directions to our room. We were wondering around the 2 floors of the hotel for at least 10 minutes until we finally got a hold of the cleaner who still wasn't sure where the room was. She did however ask her supervisor and escorted us to the room. I feel also that the quality of the decor in the room was not as good as in previous times but I do appreciate that there will be times in a busy hotel that you are unable to re-decorate as often as you would like. |

The hotel is in its own estate. The walks in the area we were already familiar with and walked for many years. As we are now a lot older we are not as able to do too much walking we found that having the hotel as a base meant that we were able to at least do some walking. The breakfasts were excelent and well presented with an excellent choice. The bedroom was not up to the standard I would have expected at a Hilton with the furniture being badly stained by watermarks. There was no kettle or coffee/tea facilities. (We spoke to reception in passing and were assured that the double rooms were due to be upgraded after the wedding season finished. |

The hotel's setting is stunning. The food and service was average to poor, the room was small and the decor very tired. The live "wedding" band in the dining room was much too loud, and woefully inappropriate for a hotel of this sort. Overall I thought it was very poor value for money. |
