A fabulous location. Really good value for money and staff really friendly. Loved the big open fire and recreational activities available was to a high standard.
The hotel looked a bit tired and in need of redecoration. Service and food on one night was a bit disappointing.
excellent dinner and breakfast along with comfort of room in General Wades
two stage wifi process, why?
The weather was snowy and very cold but the hotel was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay using the leisure facilities and eating a lovely meal. Will definitely go back again.
Dunkeld really is a beautiful place to escape to. The Hilton has a very homely feel, with lots of wood panelling and wonderful big comfy armchairs. The food was the best I have had in a Hotel for quite some time, so the DB&B rate is a good plan if you have the option.
We travelled when there was a little snow around and the hotel was a little chilly. It could do with a couple of roaring fires in the lounge areas. The Restaurant was fine, and there was adjustable heating in our room. The rooms are a little bit dated but comfortable.
Warm welcome, spacious room, food excellent, tickwd all the boxes for a relaxing weekend
Location, leisure facilities & breakfast.
Wifi impossible to connect - needs to be simpler!
Loved the pool Location is beautiful We went sledging!
Service slow - but it was busy.
The setting and warmth of the hotel despite weather. Road kept clear of snow
Choice of evening menue
All the festive activities
We had no wardrobe in our room only two clothed hangers on wall.
Excellent all round hotel. Lovely location, Food good, especially breakfast - room good, as was the facilities.
Pillows! But I always have problems with them!! Internet and phone service was poor.
Needs a facelift Difficult to get dinner reservations Modernisation required
poor service at dinner
Location, indoor pool
Some staff did not understand our dinner order on a few occasions
Food faboulous good choice of menu. Nice seating areas with cosy fires. Lovely views and walks along the river.
Disappointing Christmas decorations. Hotel getting a bit tired needs a refurb.
Food and service was excellent
That there was no music or entertainment at night except a piano player on Saturday evening ?
Food, some staff, the grounds, location and the deal.
Room view, tired worn out furniture, services the resturant inconsistant to poor, shouting from the kitchen during evening meal, the absence of resturant manager, the lenth of wait for food and order completion, A tired hotel ! I would like you to make it the way it used to be a four star hotel and a gem.
Food and staff were helpful
Feel the room could do with facelift
Location location location. Gorgeous walks and beautiful scenery - a must! Real Log fires Comfy sofas and general ambience of hotel lounge
Birthday occasions this time and sadly and unusually we got quite a few mix ups. Eg- ran out of starters, mixed up ours wine (2nd bottle was different from first), confusion with main orders, so 2 of our party ate 10 mins after us, ran out of deserts, then mixed up deserts and again 3 of our party ate 15 mins after the rest of us. And icing on the cake..they forgot the birthday candles which had been requested 3 times prior to the meal. Staff apologised....and offered some discounting as compensation, which was nice. The real bonus of this place is its amazing scenery and comfort and Scottish ambience of the hotel. The food & restaurant service require some further training so if you're a real foodie and stickler for "service slicknes" ...you might be disappointed
Warm welcome, good food, peace and quiet
Christmas atmosphere friendly staff
lighting in room very poor, quite dim bath not cleaned after use, I had to clean it myself children running about in restaurant
Comfort of room and bed
It is very poorly lit round the hotel so unless you have a car you are very confined in the evenings. My starter of mackerel was raw and full of bones and I returned it. I ordered a glass of wine to have with my main course and this was not received until I had finished my main course even though the restaurant was not very busy. The main course advertises Stornaway black pudding so do not be confused this is not StornOway black pudding. I asked the waitress for clarification but she did not understand me. The meal did not contain Stornoway black pudding as I eat it regularly and it is a shame that a Hilton Hotel is trying to capitalize on a luxury name but using an inferior product. I told the receptionist who was very polite on checking out and she deducted the wine from my order and said that the complaint had not been registered. I find this very dissapointing.
the location is just great. all members of staff were very kind and helpful.
the bed was not very comfortable.
The hole thin
