Score from 352 reviews Wonderful
The staff were attentive and the pool was a reasonable size and appeared to have been recently refurbished
The physical location is very restricted, e.g. not possible to walk anywhere due to proximity to main roads
The room we had was a bit dated. Needed to be modernised. But was clean.
The restaurant food was good quality and a wide range of meals
First off having to pay extra for parking even though I stayed there. Was not made to feel welcome maybe because I was wearing working clothes not causal or office wear. The room was very noisey with people / children running and shouting in the corridors until 1 in the morning. No free wifi and very expensive to buy even though it's very slow for the price. Finally the computer had failed on check out so was not able to get my invoice dispite 4 emails 3 weeks on I have still not received my invoice. Next time I will be staying in a premier
very nice hotel .went before we went on hoilday
service not to good not enough staff they had a big wedding on
Really nice size room with comfortable bed. Breakfast was really good.
There were roadworks on the junction of the motorway which meant a heck of a long detour to be able to get on the correct size for the hotel. Would have been good to be pre warned of this. Tried to phone hotel for an hour with no answer!
I got a room at short notice
Power cut happened twice in three days, felt like being in Hilton Karachi Room decor was dated No variety in breakfast over 3 days
Filling in surveys!
Peaceful, good night's sleep even though hotel is right next to M1 & is a major meeting place for business folk. Lovely staff on reception.
Don't follow postcode on satnav as it will take you up & down the A50!! It is basically right next to the M1
The staff were very friendly and helpful
There was a very large wedding on the day of our stay and we felt that they took priority over everything. Not enough staff to man the bar or keep the tables clean.
Convenient location, good gym, great breakfast.
The bubbles in the jacuzzi were not powerfull enough It wasn't easy just to get a coffee in the morning at the breakfast bar
Everything about room was great
Could do with a pub nearer the hotel
I arrived to find that my booking had been cancelled. Because I had entered my card details wrongly, I received an email asking me to input them again. I did so and received an email from booking.com confirming the changes and thanking me for them. On arrival I found my booking had been cancelled due to incorrect details. All they could offer me was a walk-up rate of £109, wheras my cancelled booking had been for £49.
Good large parking area. Close to East Midlands airport. Nice rooms. Air conditioning (not available in many other UK hotels)
I was put in a twin room with an adjoining room. There was a child in the room next door who kept making noise at all hours of the night. The connecting door meant the sound travelled easily and I didn't sleep well. The staff in the morning didn't once ask how my stay was.
no attempt at temporary signs after closure of exits at jnc 24
cosmetically tired and dated. Quite smelly in corridors and rooms. Could do with a deep clean and refresh.
Great location and value for money
Needs a refurb as looks very dated
The Pool, the bed,
Nearest town Castle Donnington £15 in a taxi each way
easy to find, friendly staff, comfortable beds
Large enough to book at the last minute. Close to main road ( M1)
Food and beverage prices were high. Prices of drinks were similar to central London.
excellent deluxe room at a great rate on a Friday night. Leisure facilities not very big but good.
Bar prices expensive
Nice hotel, friendly staff. Hotel has indoor swimming pool (didn't have time to use). Handy for airport but there were major roadworks when we stayed and it took us half an hour to travel the last mile to it. Food could be better. My wife ordered lamb shank and it was very tough and didn't taste good. She couldn't eat it and had to send it back. The staff were great and didn't charge for the meal and as a bit of compensation didn't charge for the bottle of wine either. Well done and sorted straight away. No fuss, that's how to deal with a complaint, well done.
We could have said the food but see how they dealt with it. Can't fault the staff at all.
Comfort, attentive staff although our room was about as far away As any room could be and designed for Disabled people we had flown over for a wedding at the hotel But would stay again If we were in the areao
We we're disappointed with the leisure facilities, the pool was not very deep and full of children with Beach balls but the gym was okay
The Indian chap at reception does an excellent job, and always has done. The dining room staff (Magda and her team at dinner, and Emmylou at breakfast) are always outstandingly helpful.
