Excellet friendly staff that made our stay brilliant
The room was nicely decorated and the bed very comfortable. It was at the back of the hotel so I did not hear any traffic. The location in the West End by the Botanic Gardens is ideal and the nearby carpark is a bonus.
The bathroom was clean but the grouting/sealant was looking tired and needed a good scrub or replacement. Breakfast was good but the restaurant was dark, dingey and draughty. You wouldn't want to linger any longer than entirely necessary.
Being able to get to centre of Glasgow on subway in 10 minutes. Then back to the reletive quiet of the West End. Restaurant at the hotel excellent. Drink prices reasonable for a Hilton Hotel.
Having to come home. Could have stayed a few days more.
Recently decorated and well equipped bedrooms. Iron and complimentary water. Reception staff were most welcoming, helpful and efficient.
Reception desk area - cold and unwelcoming. Should be more centrally located. Hotel bar opposite reception desk is not luxurious enough for a Hilton Hotel.
Great location for pubs and restaurants on Byers Road.
Rooms to back of hotel were noisy.
Friendly and welcoming staff
Rooms were a bit study even with window open Needs air con
price is too high compared to service. Breakfast not included. There are many other cheaper breakfast options a few steps from the hotel
No facilities used but Breton was excellent
Nothing to dislike
The reception staff were so friendly. It was our wedding anniversary and the complimentary drinks and surprise cupcakes were a lovely surprise. Thank you.
No gym facilities
Location , standard of room
The location is good but the traffic noise is a bit disruptive especially on Friday and Saturday nights.
The breakfast could have been better, the fruit salad was ruined by the addition of out of date melon. The rooms were very hot but the lovely lady from housekeeping brought us a fan.
food very tasteful
poor signage to reception/rooms. function room service not impressible.
Staff were very helpful and welcoming
Area thats all
Room was like a sauna even with no heating on,recommend air con be put in rooms, pillows where terrible for a 4* astablishment, really noisy from 6am onwards with service lift at end of are corridor and staff clearing rooms bang bang bang from 7.30am,wouldnt go back to that Hotel compared to the 5* Hilton in Glasgow they are night and day.
Most things worked OK. Good choices for breakfast. Staff were friendly.
Poor signage for use of staircases for non lift users. One lift was out of order. Toilet did not flush adequately
The hotel is very nice and the room was very clean. In a central location
Noisy We had a room on the 1st floor, which turned out to be on the main road and above the function suite. The music didn't stop until 1am and all the guests continued to shout until well after 2am. Therefore we got very little sleep. I filled out the hotel questionnaire saying the same, however I didn't even get the courtesy of a reply. I would have expected the hotel to offer a partial refund as a goodwill gesture
Convenient for visiting glasgow university. Easy access to glasgow centre for shopping
All the hotel
Very friendly staff. Couldn't have been more helpful. Thank-you. I wish all hotels were as friendly.
The Freindliness and helpfulness of the reception staff
Friendly staff. Helpful concierge. Generous breakfast. well placed for the University and also for excellent restaurants.
The hotel deserves a better bar and restaurant. Both dark (particularly BoVine) and gloomy.
