Room was spacious and beds/linen were clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and pleasant. Breakfast was poor. Bacon was fatty and eggs were runny! Disappointing for the money. Cheaper hotels in the same area have provided a much higher quality breakfast. Room had no outside windows and the air con didnt work, so was stuffy and uncomfortable.

A large, clean room, with a bath (unusual in London nowadays). A bit of a mix up when I first checked in, they put me in a smoking room, but when I complained they quickly sorted it out.

Good old fashioned rooms (hotel consists of a row of Georgian Terraces joined together), unlike 'normal' modern Hiltons, with lots of space, huge bed, and creaking uneven floors....great atmosphere. Breakfast superb!!! Service excellent. When leaving in the morning staff asked me if we would like to leave our case and pick up later....not me asking them.....a lovely 'service' touch. Steps to enter, not many, but some way to wheel cases up would add just the finishing touch.

Good location and pleasant staff. Room at the front of the hotel was reasonably quite consideringit was on a busy road One side of the double bed was againt the wall but room was comfortable if small. The temperature of the shower was low and couldmt be adjusted this was reported to reception on our departure who said they would deal with it immediately

Stayed on two separate nights either end of trip abroad. Comments re:both stays - Welcome given by receptionist Immediate identification of booking and confirmation of pre-payment Size and furnishing of room with table and chairs Size/comfort of bed Choice of breakfast items Proximity to St Pancras International 2nd stay - help given with room move (see below) 2Nd stay (after trip abroad) were given room on ground floor which was extremely noisy. Complained at reception and was told that someone would come to inspect - didn't come quick enough so had to go back. When inspected, told by maintenance person that noise was from restuarant kitchen ventilation system which would go off at 11.30pm but that no other rooms were available in any case (unhappy). However within 10 mins contacted again by manager to say that was in fact a/c for fitness suite which couldn't turn off so would move us and he couldn't have done more to show us a different room and then to have our cases moved (happy again).

the fact that the manager upgraded my room without an extra charge... as the single room and single bed was ridiculously small and uncomfortable for such a hotel and such a rate. the staff not really effective... getting a taxi was difficult, junior staff not being accomodating to complaints, tea arriving instead of coffee with breakfast, front desk not answering calls from room, hotel rooms in desperate need of an update and refurbish.... not at all a pleasant stay.
