Atmosphere and cleanliness
Staff where great Made to feel very welcome
Had to que for an hour on check in as there was 4 functions going on
beer and food very expensive
The hotel staff are friendly and facilities are good.
You don't get the type of room you reserved unless you agree for an upgrade.
Good pool. Liked the free wi fi
The local area
very good place and very good staff
Extremely poor quality room, dirty and old carpet, very uncomfortable matress. Definetly not a 4 star hotel. One of the worst hotel rooms, I have stayed when comparing with other 4/5 star hotel stay. I have rated highly in my recent stay at Hilton in Croydon, but very disappointed on this London Hilton Metropole.
Poor organization for breakfast. 20 minutes waiting time to get seated. Very poor quality of food. Worst Hilton ever for breakfast.
the comfortable bed The location of the hotels Kind staff and very helpful
Too crampy Room You couldn't move around! Bathroom/shower need to be remodeled or something! The thing is OLD and condition of the bathroom is the worst!
The hotel was good for oxford street shopping. It was clean and reaturants very good with great views.
Arriving at the hotel the car park was full. Rang the hotel and was told there was parking 10 minute drive away. Instead we drove around and waited for cars to leave. We did have to que for breakfast on both mornings, not long, although the amount you pay and the amount of guests you would think they could use two rooms so you are not waiting. I think the bathroom could do with abit on decorating to make it more modern.
Check in staff very friendly and helpful on arrival. Rooms were of a good standard and clean. Good location for easy access to Central London
We used third floor restaurant for breakfast as ground floor was full. This requires improvement.
Easy to reach and near to Oxford ,Marble Arch, and the most wonderful garden
Some people - Not residents- come during check in requesting for money??
Same as last review
The location, was excellent a friend and I were on a shopping trip.the staff where very friendly and helpful.
The air con in the room didn't work so it was really stuffy and the windows didn't open.
Closeness to Paddington station. Clean airy rooms. Helpful staff. Yummy breakfast!
Your every comfort was catered for by very pleasant staff. The food and the view from the Minako at the Met excellent, well worth a visit.
Location was perfect
Small rooms not worth money
Location and room
Not enough towels and shower gel for 4 guests.
Location was the best part
Many : When I check in they advice me to upgrade my room I pay more for a view and a bite bigger room. Fire Alarm ring and everyone evacuated "I was in the 17th floor" people panic I saw one lady fall down and injured herself it was about 1:00 am. I for the telephone was broken and towels looks very old. It's not the first time to stay in this hotel but it's worst experiace I ever had.
The syaff were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel is near the Metro station although you can walk about 10-15 minutes to reach to the Marble Arch where you can find a bus station from where you can start your city tour. Furthermore, Oxford Street is nearby where you should definitely go for shopping. Other advantages of the hotel are the bath towels which was being changed by the staff every day during our staying and when we asked them for more they did not refuse. Finally, we had cold or hot water for our bath all day without problems. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Room service was over-the-top expensive! We ordered a bottle of water and they charged us 6GBP for the bottle and 5GBP for bringing it to our room!! The mattresses were uncomfortable, hard and old in result with we had to sleep in their center otherwise it was possible tο fall off the bed during the night because of a problem in their sides. You should be really prepared about changing your money ( euro to GBP) and don't do it at the hotel because they want big commission. Specifically, they give you for 1000 euro only 683GBP instead of 800GBP which you can find to some changing-money stores nearby.
Location and facilities
Location was perfect, few minutes walk from tube, able to walk quite easily to oxford street for shopping. Beautiful reception and bar areas
No hot water to get a bath on a morning. Had a workman visit to check water, everything ok just a full hotel using all the hot water! Not acceptable in a hilton hotel!! No free wifi- disappointment, this day and age should be accessible throughout hotels free of charge!
very comfortable lounge
we did ask for a better view but was given no view at all on second floor
