    Good facilities food expensive for what it is and isnt really great. Rooms a bit dated and decour in general dated once out of lobby but great staff in restaurant which made up for it.

    Nice size room with a sofa to relax on. The breakfast was excellent.

    Bar prices are very expensive and there wasn't a great choice of tea and coffee in the room. No complimentary biscuits in the room!

    Decor a little tired but very clean. Excellent breakfast with varied buffet including freshly made waffles.

    Some of my family with small children located above wedding party which was quite noisy.

    Helpful & pleasant staff

    - Odd TV menu - no prog info - Wrong Room Service menu in room. Had to phone through to kitchen 3 times before we were 'on the same page...'

    Under the terms of our booking we had to stay on the date booked but we had to change our date and the hotel reservations department were most helpful and allowed us to change the date with no extra cost. Thanyou

    The waitress in the restaurant who was very sincerely apologetic for our experience. The problem was, in my opinion, that there was no person in charge leading operations. Felt very sorry for her.

    Our entire experience here was awful, especially considering the good reputation that the Hilton chain prides itself on. Upon arrival our booking could not be found in the system. After 10 minutes of standing waiting we were offered drinks vouchers, to allow us a drink while they investigated. The problem was there was no member of staff in the bar area so we ended up just sitting waiting for another 15 minutes until they found us a room. Travelling with 2 young children, we had a lot of luggage. There was no offer of help to get this to our room, despite four members of staff being in the vicinity. Whilst at reception i asked if it was advisable to book for dinner that evening, to which i was told yes, so after arriving in the room i phoned 'restauraunt/room service' to make the booking. Nobody picked up the phone, so i decided to walk along to the restaurant myself. I made a reservation there for 4 people at 7pm, which a member of staff wrote down, but on arrival at the restaurant at 7 pm, No Booking found!! However, we were found a table and ordered our dinner. Our children's food arrived promptly, but my wife and i did not receive ours until after the kids had completely finished theirs! Not my idea of a family meal! In order to try and keep the kids happy while we ate, we ordered them each another soft drink. This never arrived. I got up from my dinner to catch someones attention to remind them. 10 minutes later a drink arrived, but not what was ordered. The problem in both reception and restaurant seemed to be that there was no one person responsible, in charge, if you like. We were promised an explanation for what happened to our booking, because according to my booking confirmation, the room was prepaid. This explanation never arrived, until the girl at checkout did more digging, therefore delaying our departure.

    Excellent privacy. Comfortable environment. Generous Foyer. Good Food. Good access to the motorway.

    No fridge £3.95 is a bit steep for a bottle of warm water. Our stay at "Double Tree by Hilton" included this free of charge, along with other complimentary items. No comfort cooling.

    the rooms were not as good as other hilton hotels we have stayed in the beds were hard as the floor we all came away with back ache every in hotel said the same

    The gym and pool were clean and well staffed, but attention to detail... The showers were poor. , The restaurant was excellent for breakfast and dinner. All the staff were lovely.

    We paid and extra £25 a night for a king room. Disappointing really. The decor was tired, the sink had a crack in it and the plug hole was rusty. The bed was very creaky. Not the quality we hoped for. The bar also looked like it needs some love, it reminded me of a dayvroom in a old peoples home. This hotel needs dragging into the 21st century.
