The hotel was fab The breakfast was lovely The staff very helpful Location brilliant
Drinks very expensive Require a second toasting machine for breakfast
spacious bedroom views from room executive lounge courteous professional staff excellent breakfast choices complimentary xmas market mugs
For the price you pay I expected more than a pokey little room. Won't bother again. Not even drink making facilities in the room. Not impressed.
The view and the VIP Lounge
It took several phone calls and promises for a dressing gown that was missing to be delivered which never actually happened, so we shared one :-) which in hind sight was quite fun
The prices of the drinks in cloud 23
Nice room and bathroom.
Breakfast food from 'hot' service area was not more than lukewarm. This is a real let-down and spoils what, otherwise, would have been a great meal to set up for the day. Disappointing as the Hilton breakfast is usually a highlight.
Great comfortable stay with fab view. Rooms were very clean and inviting with all amenities required
No hot water in morning for shower
Location and cloud 23
Was given a disabled room, unstocked mini bar with half open milk carton, soiled furniture and room heating control not working
!Great location and initial appearance of the hotel. Friendly front desk
No hot water, hotel knew of the issue but didn't acknowledge it until we check out. A later check out would of been nice! TV was faulty and the general feeling of the room was not what I expected from a Hilton...De Vere is far superior experience!
Friendly staff and clean room
Small bed, hard pillow, cold shower
It was very impressive when we entered and the room was very comfortable.
Considering I had booked 10 months in advance, I was charged the wrong amount at check-in and told I had obviously booked it wrong! When we went to Cloud 23 that evening we had booked 3 months in advance for food and drinks only to be told that the WHOLE HOTEL had run out of food!!! We had to have burgers from across the road...which were awesome. Not impressed with a hotel of that size running out of food!
The room smelt awful Staff on reception were rude
Cloud 23, comfortable bedroom
We had a very noisy, corner room. It wasn't coming from inside the hotel but from the actual building itself as it was windy.
Excellent views from the higher floors of the hotel. Deluxe twin was comfortable with good facilities.
Lobby very stark and impersonal. Breakfast was poor, the food was dry and overcooked and service was slow even though the restaurant was not busy. Wifi, which I did not use was expensive and chargeable in all areas.
The view is absoloutley breath taking and beautiful, Cloud 9 is magnificent and the rooms are define. Value for money is very good.
The executive rooms were very nice & well worth the money as you get access to the executive lounge with complimentary alcoholic drinks & nibbles between 6-8pm & complimentary breakfast. Location of hotel is great, close to Spinningfields & only a short walk to the main shopping area of Manchester. Staff at hotel were all helpful staff.
Cloud 23 bar, we booked in advance but still had to wait & when we finally arrived up there we were hugely disappointed, service very slow & no atmosphere, plus the decor in the part we were sat in was dated & bland, looked much nicer round the other side but still wouldn't bother to return for another visit
Cloud 23 was breathtaking Executive Lounge very relaxing Bedroom/bathroom very spacious and stylish, jacuzzi bath, powerful shower and television in the bathroom - not your average room! Magnificent views Stunning hotel, brilliant location Very special night
Tables far too close at breakfast. ( breakfast was nothing to write home about) Practically sitting shoulder to shoulder with strangers and when people either side of us got up to leave the table for food etc their backsides were pushed right into our faces! Nice.
Great view. Clean and very comfy bed.
Guests too the hotel didn't get to bypass the queue for the cloud bar which I find appauling and were told to wait anything up to an hour in the queue in the lobby. Also no discount on parking was disappointing especially for the Hilton.
Speed and ease of check In Location Facilities Staff all freindly
Breakfast was good.
No bathrobes! We had to wait 40 mins for afternoon tea when we had a reservation. Can't believe guests of hotel have to que for cloud bar. Pool was cold and small.
Really enjoyed our stay perfect hotel with a beautiful view of manchester would love to come back in the new year
The drinks we had in the mini bar in our room where so overpriced! And also at the hotel bars.
Queen deluxe room - amazing view of sunset. Worth paying a bit extra for deluxe. Also enjoyed pool and jacuzzi! Staff nice and friendly.
Couldn't open mini bar and the phone didn't seem to work. But this stopped us from spending more money so this was a good thing! Poor variety of room service drinks options and desserts.
Had not realised we need to book the Cloud Bar, so was disappointed we did not get chance to go up.
The mattress on the bed
We arrived early expecting to leave our case but our room was available which was a lovely surprise. Executive lounge was great well worth the extra cost. Staff phoned through to Cloud bar and reserved a table for us will definitely stay again.
