The building is fantastic with its floor to ceiling windows and excellent views of the city. The staff are helpful and the executive lounge is well stocked and efficently managed. With only three elevators servicing 23 floors and with no means of getting in and out of the stairwell it can be an infuriating wait to get up and down during the busier periods of the morning. The reception desk was understaffed around the check out time resulting in queues. The hotel charge £20 per hour for a late check out. This is the first time I have experienced this and found it rather unusual how strictly they policed this policy.

Good location, efficient check in, pleasant room and very quiet. Charging £3.95 for a 750ml bottle of water in the room is absolutely scandalous! More expensive than petrol or diesel!!!. Should be complimentary at a hotel of this stature. I nipped to Sainsburys and paid 42p for a 2 litres bottle!!

I was disappointed with the room in general as it looked rather tired, also the bed seems to wobble which was worrying. Also the lack of WiFi available in the rooms was disappointing, as nowadays this technology is standard in most hotel's.

Sky Cocktail Bar plus very helpful staff. Parking service excellent. Very poor breakfast, lots of cooked food standing too long. Young waiters not trained to take dirty plates away. Oh, Hilton you need a Head Waiter or someone to use their eyes.

The breakfast buffet was very good. Loved the pool area as well and the gym seemed decent though I didn't use that. I think it's ridiculous that in a business hotel, in 2011 you have to pay 15gbp / day for internet access. Also, in a hotel which has a swimming pool and spa, not having bath robes in the rooms is a major drawback.

Classy place and very good staff to help if required I must say that the rooms at the Crowne Plaza in Manchester were better decorated and the set out was better. It was slightly unfair that the mini bar price list was tucked away in a cupboard and was not noticed until I decided to make a cup of tea ( only enough milk for one cup of tea!!! ) Also, we found it ridiculous that we had access to the executive lounge and then had to go down in the lift to queue up to come back to the same floor to visit the sky bar. We are aware of the safety measures but it does seem rather silly to have to do that. Also, the seating in the bar area lounge downstairs is not particular comfy

The location is superb. The hotel bar, on the 23rd floor, overlooking the city is the best place for a cocktail in Manchester

We stayed overnight to celebrate my husband's birthday. I informed the hotel of this and when we arrived they had prepared a birthday plate of chocolates and friuts. I also requested a view over the City which again we got. Fabulous views, looking down Deansgate. We also visited the Cloud 23 Bar, which again had wonderful views of Manchester. As guests of the hotel I didn't expect to have had to queue to go up to the Cloud 23 Bar. We queued for over 20 minutes and when we got into the bar it was not full.

The location of the hotel is excellent, the public parking was right next door and was subsidized by the hotel,I stayed in a executive room and had access to the executive lounge which was excellent.nice swimming pool etc, cloud 23 bar was a really good experience. An earlier check in time of before 3.00 would have been good,as you find yourself rushing around to use the pool, gym etc, especially if you are going to the theartre at 7.00. didnt like having to queue to get into cloud 23 bar,I would have thought residents could have gone in through another access door .

Location Not acceptable for a hotel of this calibre (nad cost!) to charge such extortionate prices for wi-fi. And a lumpy hollow mattress in a room that cost £150 a night. And a smell of damp in the bathroom. And sound of plumbing from the neighbouring rooms. A pretty poor experience overall. Just ok for a 1 night stay - but not good for any more.
