Modern and clean. Good price. Good facilities. Location. We couldn't get in our room at 21:00 and reported it to reception, they said they would send someone up to change the batteries in the door lock. We returned at 23:30 and the repair hadn't been carried out. We were soaking from the torrential rain and had to sit in the bar area until after 24:00 for the repair to be carried out. In the morning I realised only one bath towel & one hand towel had been left in the bathroom so dried myself on the hand towel, so my husband could use the bath. Once dried and opening the wardrobe, I found a further set of towels - why were they not in the bathroom ready?

We stayed in the executive room and we liked being able to use the executive lounge. It was very relaxing and a good way to unwind and to start the day off.

Good hotel, good food and helpful staff apart from... Sky Bar is a joke. When you pay £270 a night for a room and you can't even get residents access... day or noght (we were asked to leave at 3pm in the afternoon....) we had to que to get in for half an hour at night, only to witness friends of the conceige get it ahead of us as we all que'd. Once in, we were ripped off for drinks by unhelpful staff. Never again.

Good breakfast Nice staff The bedroom was too hot during the night with the air conditioning turned to the lowest setting. It was so hot that I had to have 2 cold showers during the night. The windows could not be opened.

Nice facilities in the hotel. Swimming pool. Sky bar etc Air conditioning in the room was dreadful Bath and shower couldn't get hot Room was far too stuffy and small with no way of opening the windows and air con was only warm at its coldest. Had to stand outside to get fresh air along with all the other people who were doing the same! Better hotels for less in Manchester. Such as the Arora. Which is in a more central position and cheaper.

The dining room, Club 23 - though it is a shame about the ques, and we were told we might have to stand when it was obvious that there was plenty of seats. A bathrobe to go to the pool in would be nice rather than having to dress / undress publicly - there are no private change facilities. Also an extra comfy chair in the room, I don't understand why hotels only supply one comfy chair in a two person room.

The location was a lot more northern than I normally stay in Manchester, so it was nice to stay in a different area of Manchester and see different bars, restaurants etc. The hotel was very clean, the staff very helpful and the breakfast was very nice. The hotel is very over-priced for what it is. The rooms arent to a sufficient standard for the price charged, for example there was only one chair for relaxing, and that was on its last legs. There are lots of other hotels in Manchester which are of the same standard as this hotel for a lot less money.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Check in was easy and staff were very helpful. Poor view Didn't like that we still had to queue to cloud 23 even though we were guests in the hotel. It put us off going so we went elsewhere for drinks.

The rooms were incredibly hot and the air conditioning wasnt working effectively. Despite reporting this 3 times during the stay this still wasn't rectified which meant that the experience was not pleasant The breakfast was adequate but the hot buffet was luke warm and the plates were cold The changing facilities in the leisure area were very cramped with only one changing bench and the area was not particularly clean.

The quality of service was excellant, made to feel like royalty! We were on the 21st floor and wanted to go to Cloud 23 the bar on the 23rd floor, we had to go down to the ground and get the dedicated lift back up. It would have been nice as a resident to be able to just go up two floors. I understand the exclusivity of the Cloud bar, but a little bit of thought to this issue should provide a solution. I stress this is a very minor point on a wonderful stay.

Great view from room, great staff who welcomed us very warmly and helped us get a taxi on a Saturday night! Amazing comfortable mattress Some fixtures and fittings were worn out, chipped and broken like door handles. Cloud 23 is managed in a very strange way, it is a queue generator, 20 people come down and only 2 get up, they dont explain why and it feels very unglamorous to be standing on a queue for 45 minutes. Their other bar on ground floor is very nice though!
