Everything. The view of the tyne was impressive. will be back
Good location, great room, clean
When paying this much for a room, the least you can expect is free wifi! This greedy tactic ruined what would have been a good experience. Will stay clear of Hiltons until they understand the days of ripping people off to access e-mail are over
Helpfulness of staff. Free parking for Blue badge holders - we were unaware of this until told by check out staff!
Cold plates at breakfast at hot food counter!!
The bed was really comfy, Room very spacious and Clean. The staff on check in were very fast and professional in getting you booked in excellent, Thank you.
The cost of Parking seems high at £12.00? Beware when trying to pay the machine asks for £13.00! No free Wi-Fi in Rooms again quite a cost to take this option.
I was ill during my stay but the staff at breakfast were very helpful sending out for medication for me and asking the cleaning staff to be quiet near my bedroom door which I thanked your staff which helped me rest so I felt better to go to a concert for which I had come to newcastle
the spa facilities are not very relaxing for massages I had a massage in a broomcupboard next to pool children crying and general noise I had no music to drown noise the area lets you down either have proper spa area or non/
This was our first time staying at the Hilton and upon arrival at the hotel reception we were impressed by the standard of the foyer & bar area as well as the courteous staff. Checking in was without issues and our room was ready on time. We had a minor delay with dinner on the first evening - but the food was excellent. I didn't complain about the delay but a member of staff must have updated our account to reflect this as upon checkout we were advised that we were being provided with complimentary parking for the weekend as a gesture for the dining issue - which was a really nice touch.
Breakfast was dreadful. On the first day we ordered room service and it contained not only items which we didn't order, but things that were not on the menu! We ordered continental breakfast items the second day only because we wanted to make sure we could actually eat our breakfast. Although described as a "Double Deluxe bedroom", it didn't really have any luxury feeling about it at all. The bedding was the same that you'd find in any old hotel. The shower was very outdated and in general it just felt like a standard room but with more space.
Really nice atmosphere generally, staff brilliant and nothing too much trouble.
Great business venue Great red carpet event Reception and bar area gorgeous Staff very friendly and very professional
Stains on carpet, stains on sofa in room. Door would not secure and was left unlocked after cleaner had been in room. Bathroom light flickered and asked for it to be replaced but no electrician available. Lots of things missing when had breakfast in room, no milk for cereal, no butter, no condiments etc
I used this trip to propose to my partner and the staff went out of there way to help. I would recommend this venue to anyone
Location, the view over the river is fantastic. plus a short walk over the Tyne Bridge and your into the centre of Newcastle
Getting there, the roadworks are horrendous and getting the last 400 metres to the hotel is not easy
Location was great
I was really disappointed with the breakfast
Staff very nice, helpful. I have stayed in Exec room before, so know they are very nice, comfortable. Good location. Nice flower arrangements.
Booking.com gave the wrong room description. A large double bed is misleading. The hotel only have King size beds in the executive rooms and above. When checking in was told my type of room only had double beds. The hotel was fully booked, so no alternative to move to another room or have a twin zip and link. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, not much choice of cereals without sugar. Not much choice of cold buffet cheeses hams other meats. The hotel is nice, but expensive. Surprised that the regular rooms don't have 5ft beds - All Premier inns have 5ft beds as standard. Isn't it time other hotels did this. More annoyed at booking.com misrepresentation, rather than the problem at the hotel.
The location and view, the spa leisure facilities
The long wait to check in, the noise in/outside the room opposite at 3/4 in the morning, the long wait to get served in the bar on Saturday evening.
10 min walk over high bridge to city centre, and 5 min walk from gateshead metro and bus station - lovely staff and clean rooms, would defo stay again
Good location, good breakfast, and the room was lovely
Toilet cistern filled continuously all night. Girls running in the corridors shouting and knocking on doors at 2 am. Not really the sort of thing you expect when paying £185 per night so that was disappointing. Also met by pizza boxes on the corridor in the morning. Would not recommend to friends and family, especially for the price paid.
The view from our deluxe room was absolutely beautiful, the staff were fantastic and the facilities were great.
If I had to be picky, the parking was a bit too expensive and there were a few smears on the bedroom window.
Good size rooms. Lovely breakfast. Easy to park.
Man on reception should not be welcoming guests, utterly curt and generally dismissive, strange to have him on reception. Tainted the rest of the stay
Leisure facilties. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location.
Still having to pay for parking. At the room prices parking should be free or a lot less than £20 for the weekend
Support, facilities and equipment
Cost in the restaurant - too expensive
Iron burn on the carpet Pubic hair on bathroom floor Bed was a mess Night staff was no good we got told by reception that if we got room service we would pay on darture but night porter demanded we pay there and then and we had no money so he took our debit card which I was really uncomftorble with An empty food tray was outside our room for over an hour after complaint and it wasn't ours And after complaing about all of this we got offered a free bottle of wine which was not in our room and when porter brought it he charged us 33 pound for what can only be described as vinegar I an really disappointed with this hotel.
The staff, location, breakfast and overall atmosphere was excellent
were in room 554... we had the air conditioning set to off and it was definitely off... however there was a background noise which sounded like fans running somewhere. again, we definitely had the air conditioning successfully switched off
The reception was beautiful The staff were friendly The lounge was excellent Location was unreal
We nearly missed our show due to the taxi the hotel ordered didn't show so some other guests kindly let us share which was slightly embarrassing The room was quite scruffy thought there would of been a bath too View was also average
No pizza after 10pm had to go out to get one room service would have been nice Car park expensive Should have free wifi
