Comfortable mattress. View over the Tyne The overall impression was they're trying to squeeze every last penny out of you. I was there for a conference and the catering was mean, limited snacks in breaks, tea, coffee and tap water only. Toiletries in room shampoo and soap, no lotion or luxury. Wifi extra. None of this was cheap. I'm allergic to feathers - they could only find one hypo allergenic pillow in whole hotel. Staff very variable - receptionist who checked us in very offhand which set up an immediate bad impression. Other staff great but next time I'm in Newcastle will go somewhere welcoming and feels like value for money

Convenient location for sage gateshead No bottled water; no toiletries in bathroom besides basics; no dressing gowns; served a lunch consisting of decaying brown avocado in salad, and reheated dried chicken for an exorbitant price so obviously no pride/quality control in kitchen

The location is excellent, just a short walk in to town. The views from the bar are wonderful over the city - especially at night. Staff are efficient and friendly. The general standard of the room is good and the rooms are generously proportioned compared to other hotels The bar waiting staff don't serve you in the bar area - which I would have expected. Although the room was generally clean there were some marks and spills that really should have been dealt with in a general room clean

The Easy Chair and comfort of the room. The distance to most places were close by and easy to get to by car. The value for money, having to pay £15 if you wanted wifi access and £18 for parking for 2 nights. The dirty ness of the room there was patches on the ceiling, black marks on the floor and wall. Being woken up twice on the first morning of our stay to ask when we would like our room cleaned, we placed the sign on the door handle outside and still received 2 phone calls at different times of the morning. Clearly lack of communication between staff and persistence to get there room cleaned to free up their time.

The location was perfect, our room with a view of at least 3 bridges encapsulated the history and modernity of newcastle. Breakfast staff were especially professional, efficient and polite. As a mature couple we appreciated being a 'walk away' from the city centre hussle and bussle. I have to give the staff top marks at the Newcastle Greyhound Racing Stadium, we booked trackside restaurant, and it was the best steak and chips I have had for a very long time and so fairly priced. The tote staff were good and the general feel of the place fantastic. So good to fi d that this kind of meeting still exists, bringing back nostalgic memories as well as the thrill of wee bet on such beautiful animals-all in the comfort in the enclosed restuararnt area-magic To be honest as far as uk city break goes, Newcastle surpassed my expectations with regards to choice of pubs, restaurants and cultural activities.

I loves the staff and how accommodating they were up to and on arrival. We had caused some confusion prior to arrival as we had a large group however the staff couldn't have been more obliging. Beautiful lobby area with stunning views (and also ask for a room with view - great!) Bar staff (especially Charlie) were great, Housekeeping always said hello in corridors! Rooms were fab and beds extremely uncomfortable. Great stay was had by myself and my 7 Irish friends Nothing, however if you had Chai Lattes in the café I would have drank 40 of them so probably best the café didn'T.

Just over the Tyne Bridge, you're minutes from the City Centre. Great for City Breaks, or young people/couple who enjoys shopping, food, drinks and a buzzing nightlife on the side. Good for business trip stay as you have a great spa facilities to relax and unwind or the gym for those hardcores. The rooms are clean, the views are excellent and you just feel special on arrival. Staffs are friendly and the evening Concierges are so sweet, helpful and welcoming. Thank you guys! Breakfasts should be included and if not, should be reasonably priced not £9 if you book on arrival or £16 if you want it the morning after. However there are many bars/cafes around if you fancy something different.
