Breakfast was lovely! The room we had - which I asked for non-smoking - when you entered the room it was smelling of stale smoke - very disappointing. |

Friendliness, big bed, swimming pool, fresh orange juice £15 to go on line, food much too expensive, room too hot and aircon difficult to adjust |

Excellent hotel. Large, quiet, comfortable room with a view over the Tyne, the Tyne and Millennium bridges and the Sage. Gym open 6pm til late, with clean sauna and steam room. Friendly, helpful staff. Highly recommended. |

All the staff went out of their way to help. Nothing was too much trouble. Just one niggle - lovely designer basin in the bathroom, but nowhere to put the soap! |

The view over the river was superb. After leaving you I stayed at the deVere Slalely Hotel and then the Best Western Cumbria Park hotel in Carlisle. All were the same room price but yours was by far the best in every way. High cost of internet connection |

My husband and were in Newcastle for his 30th birthday and what a great way to spend it. On arrival we were greated by a smiley freindly member of staff whom checked us in and acknowledged my husbands birthday also giving us a very nice room over the Tyne. On our second night a bottle of wine and chocolate dipped strawberry's were left in our room wonderful room to enjoy. Our full experience was very relaxed and enjoyed will defenatly be back and recommend to all. Thank you hilton gateshead |

The hotel has very easy access to the city so it is a great base. The lobby and resturant bar area have a great outlook over the tyne and it is spotlessly clean plus i found all the staff very helpfull. Finding the entrance to the Hotel is very difficult if you are new to the area with one way streets diverting you away from where you want to be and sat Nav does not help either as it trys to send you in on a road that has no entrance so maybe better signage could be errected from the slip road. Did not eat breakfast as expensive for what it is along with the bar snacks menu and hotel do not inc the parking charge in your stay unlike Malmaison did the previous night. |

Excellent location, easy parking, good staff attitudes, all were very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast choices. Well placed for exploring Newcastle.Very clean, welcoming. Nice toiletries. drinks etc pricey. Felt it could have a bit more character, but many may like the clean lines. |
