Breakfast was good
Room was very inexpensive, every floorboard creaked
The gym and pool was great
The bed was terrible the tv didnt work properly the picture was terrible
Our room was really nice; food was very good, and the pool and fitness facilities were great.
As it is located in a city, it did get a bit loud with noise from outside at pub closing time.
Concierge was so welcoming, friendly and helpful before we even got into the hotel.
Room's look a little tired but that was the only real downside.
Really lovely breakfast with so much choice. Room clean and spacious. Used to live near here so loved visiting old haunts.
Friendly staff, pool was brilliant and breakfast was fantastic!
Location and if we're being picky, the tv in our room had a fault with the sound.
I liked the customer service at the reception
The house keepers waking me up. There should be some kind of way I enable them that someone was still in the room even if the sign is not don't disturb outside.
Huge, bright and comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Helpful staff. An amazingly warm and large indoor pool that was utterly blissful and all in a grand period building
Room was a little tired. Perhaps because it is a family room it gets a little more wear and tear
The worn and stained chairs in the dining area. The food tasted like it was cooked by someone who couldn't have cared less.
Bus lane cameras - Be very careful driving to this hotel, its very easy for the bus lane pirates to get you !!!
The Bar was nice, and the room was lovely and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay
The mattress was too firm for us both
Fitness and spa facilities were pretty good. The location is excellent in Nottingham city centre.
Very small room, small bed, probably more of a single than a double! The building itself is difficult to negotiate with large suitcases.
Central location easy access to shops and malls and the university in the area. Breakfast was really nice with a lot of choices.
Room was too hot and too small and the floor kept making noises as you walk pass the corridor.
The Breakfast was good value for Money and good selection
The room and bathroom was very small and in need of some update.
Lovely staff, very helpful. Breakfast is gorgeous and a perfect location
The room was clean but was very dated and just needed a little tlc
Breakfast and location
Went to the pool and stood on some glass which cut me foot open on the pool side:( pool assistant was good but the manager didn't even appogise to me or offer any discount on my stay ?
The hotel is in an excellent location to explore central Nottingham. Within walking distance to all main attractions in city centre. Good selection at breakfast.
We were in a Family Plus room. The double bed was very good. Unfortunately, the additional bed was a pull-out couch bed, which was very uncomfortable. One sank inside the bed when sleeping and was very bad for the back. Suffered neck pain rather than enjoying a good night's sleep.
Parking was a big disadvantage. I had to park on the multi storey car park which cost £15 a day. This spoilt an otherwise excellent trip.
From the moment we arrived the staff, especially a lady called Sharon, could not do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble for all of the staff. The gentlemen on the Concierge were also extremely courteous and helpful. Price was excellent for us 3 adults (including breakfast) of £90. Room 403 was plenty big enough with good facilities. Excellent breakfast :-)
If you are driving into the City Centre of Nottingham, and trying to park at the hotel , then be warned !!!! It is poorly sign posted and if you (like we did) transgress into the bus lane to gain access to the hotel, then if the camera's see yo, its I believe a £30 fine. Nottingham City Council need to sort their act out, it is not the hotels fault.
Room was extremely hot and uncomfortable
The staff were helpful, although nobody asked me whether everything was alright with my stay.
The hotel is pretty run down and shabby. The biggest problem was that the room was incredibly hot. I would have thought that a deluxe room at the Hilton would be properly temperature controlled. It was only 17 degrees outside, but it was at least 25 in the room. They had left an office fan, but you couldn't open the window properly so the fan wasn't much good. Also, I had chosen the hotel on the basis of the indoor pool, which was closed for both the evening and morning of my stay.
Great location. Excellent contemporary décor. Staff very professional. The hotel's own wine bar, Nicholson's, has an outdoor sitting area with a southerly aspect, getting the sun all day.
A very, very minor point, could have done with a few more personal touches in room. For example, free biscuits. I know it sounds picky but only comparing with what I've had in other hotels.
Extra stairs to carry heavy luggage after catching the lift
The hotel was in a great location. Staff were great and very helpful. We got a good deal so value for money was great. Rooms were an ok size.
I have had to mark it down for comfort because it was soooooooo hot in the rooms. My friends were told there not allowed to install air con as it's a listed building but there must be something that can be done to improve ventilatation in the rooms! This was the only downside.
