Very good,

“ The food and service were great. The golf club was in very good condition despite the previous bad weather. The spa was nice and relaxing with a hot jacuzzi & sauna and steam room. The room was large & comfortable, also we were given a nice view as requested. ”

The facilities were excellent, very clean and tidy. Food and service in the restaurant could not be faulted. Bedroom was not what I expected for a deluxe room. There were stains on the carpet, bed creaked every time you turned over or sat on it. When I booked the booking stated bathrobes provided but there were none. Room size was no bigger than a normal room.

Members of staff were extremely efficient, very friendly & helpful. On 2 nights it took over 60 mins to serve the main course. On the first night the fire alarm kept going, but there was no excuse on night 2. Food portions were too small for us!

The location of the Hotel was excellent The Hotel room was very poor. We we constantly kept awake for the whole of the night by the noise of some motors located below our room. It spoilt what would have been a memorable stay for us.

The spa facilities were good to use during our stay. The staff were helpful, friendly & professional. The location was beautiful & the food outstanding. The spa needs more attention to cleanliness in the changing rooms & could do with updating. The interior hotel decor is looking a bit tired & dated. I did not like the charge for internet use in the bedrooms - this is the 21st century & should be available free to all guests, not only in the lobby.

Large corporate hotel plenty of space good bar food quality excellent but service poor when groups arrive not enough staff, rooms ok bathroom poor also shower very poor towlels very old and thin breakfast same problem cold poached eggs because forgot them to get a second cup of coffee not possible. Why in this day and age are we charged £15 to use the internet!! As a company or privately we will not use this chain until they allow free use of modern communication links offered foc by most other independents and large chains. Poor restaurant service.

Good value for money and in a convenient location for us. Staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to help. My name was mixed up with a guest who "had the same name" on checking in and it confused the booking. In actual fact the other name was nothing like mine!

Friendly staff, good breakfast. Relaxed atmosphere. Poor lighting in the room, unable to use bedside light for reading. I think that there was a generator/air con unit not far from the room that we could hear throughout the night. We werent asked how our stay was when we checked out so didnt pass this information on and also felt that there was nothing that could have been done and it was only a one night stay.

The hotel was very pleasant along with the room. The breakfast was delicious. There were a very noisy family in the pool, screaming and shouting which ruined the 'reaxing' atmosphere.

The parkland setting. Double bed was comfortable. Staff friendly and courteous. Too little parking. Showers and taps need replacing. No heating in the bathroom. Electric heater on the wall of bedroom. ie no central heating. Duvet too small for bed - no overhang. Virtually impossible to read by weak bedside lamps. Low energy bulbs in poor condition. One broken! Deep penetrating rumbling noise from motor somewhere in the hotel which started c. 8 AM and was very disturbing. Could not get my knees under the desk ie. table without lowering the office chair to a point where it was difficult to use my keyboard! Desk light not working.

The staff were great the food was excellent, the bedroom was Very Good with all facilities there. The walk around the property excellant value for money even with the odd gripe lol. The changing area at the pool and Spa was a little untidy some of the facilities were out of stock. No Body cream, no clear bags for wet costume and the floor was dirty. The steam room was faulty on the Sunday morning and had to be reset.

Everything When we asked if there were any nuts in any of our meal choices off the valentines menu our waitress didn't get back to us so we presumed it was ok which resulted in an allergic reaction to the cheesecake which luckily calmed itself down eventually but it could have been a lot worse.

Restaurant food (breakfast and dinner) was rather nice with lovely service, in a nice setting, nice countryside about. Bed wasn't comfortable, room felt empty, odd lighting (rather harsh), expensive drinks (£12 for a double g+t).
