Music ok but a little too loud, Need much more room for people to dance, one couple and thats it!
Room was very small, dont like shower curtains! was falling down. not enough room to dance & TOO LOUD!
Ideal for the seafront, well worth booking a sea view room, receptionist helpful with parking.hotel quiet would stay here again ................. ................
for the price could include a continental breakfast, small lift having to send one person up with luggage, having to use 200 characters minimum
Basic but clean
Water way too hot to shower in. Had to leave before 8am but staff would not provide anything to eat even though we had paid for breakfast. Spent 45 mins looking for parking space along sea front. Had to give up and park quite a way from hotel down side street.
Very comfortable bed Staff were very attentive
Bathroom was very old, mould on the tiles and water wasn't very hot. A very long walk from shops, bars and the station Rickety old lift Very noisy, 3rd floor and you could still hear the music from the downstairs bar You could hear everybody walking to and from their rooms along the corridor
Not very good,dirty, untidy.
Good location. Reception staff friendly - entrance/reception has been updated but investment would be better spent on the bedrooms.
Basic room in need of refurbishment. Shower wasn't worth the effort - the sink taps had more water supply! Parking in side turnings is pot luck and depending on your time of arrival can be a considerable distance from the hotel.
View and location
Carpeting was grubby
Our room was lovely-old but quirky furniture excellent view. Plent of hot water and good shower.
Bit too quiet
Breakfast was good, staff were as helpful as they could be, needed more help themselves
Broken glass in bedroom, electrical wiring in bathroom probably not very health and safety. Had to wait 2 and a half hours longer to check in because room was not ready
It was excellent for the cost and all the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The wait in the bar for staff to come and serve could have been better.
The overall look of the hotel was good, it is right on the seafront and has a glorious aspect.
The room I was in was old and tired (but clean), the furniture was mismatched, scratched and lacking in a homely atmosphere. The curtains did not close, we're hanging stonehenge of the rail and the view was not good. The bathroom door would not shut and the bathroom was old fashioned. The whole thing was disappointing and although it was cheap I object to paying for something that was not up to the standard of my own bedroom. d
Been better staying at home!!! Saved my money. End of!!
The staff are so helpful. Its worth staying here to see them again
The bathroom could have had a new bath panel. But this will not stop me staying here again,
Comfortable clean room although bathroom small but served its purpose. Location of hotel right opposite sea which was lovely and also hotel only short walk from shops. Bedding and towels changed daily and daily refil of plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc Good value for money.
Attitude of one barman as he was rude on one occasion (although very polite and friendly on previous occasion). Think he was trying to do three people's job but no excuse for rudeness. Maybe an additional member of staff would help to do the cream teas so customers requiring drink from bar do not have a 15 minute wait.
No parking with hotel and no spaces nearby
The staff were very friendly and welcoming The food was of good quality
The room was very small the bed was so hard and uncomfortable , the toom was very hot and there was only a very small sized window The bathroom shower curtain was not set up correctly and made it very difficult to shower as you should
A comfortable bed.A good breakfast.
No wi-fi in rooms. No extract in shower room.Mess on balcony.Window sashes broken.Drawers didn't open/close well. Hanging rail paint pealing & no trouser hangers.Dirty kettle, all furred up.Room&shower room dirty.Thunderbugs everywhere & many caught in many spider webs.Very old fashioned room. Not impressed.
Stunning views of the sea and moon
No butter at breakfast
Fantastic value - great location.
TV stopped working and when reported to staff they said - 'Oh yes that often happens when it rains' - not very helpful!
Good breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff. Situated on bus route (good as no car). Lovely sea view room which was quite spacious.
Clean with basic facilities expected from a 2 star hotel.
No hot water in the bathroom, so we didnt use the bathroom facilities
good size rooms and clean
bathroom is small, dated and shower pressure is minimal and useless after a day at work.
Bedroom looked shabby nothing like picture in add, bed disgusting, worst sleep ever, carpet and furniture looks like it comes from Noah's ark
Location ideal for moving around Eastbourne
Shower needed updating mould not nice didn't use. Pipe running across top of the window water flowing through on and off quite noisy. Large mass of bird droppings on window ledge. Had to put a towel at the bottom of the door to stop the wind whistling through.
First sea line. Complete room with a small bath-tube. Really quiet place. The hotel has seen a better time but it's still a fair price/quality stay.
It's a bit messy to walk around the building. The elevator is slow and constantly busy. But if you take the stairs it's a maze to reach your room/reception.
