The hotel was very clean and welcoming the staff were all very professional and we were told the hotel wasn't very busy so we received a courtesy upgrade by the receptionist which we were thrilled with, the hotel was very close to the shops and the crucible where we were visiting. A great experience would definately stay again! I had no complaints whatsoever the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

The close proximity to the train station, shopping centre and the crucible The room was clean, tidy and spscious the beds were clean and comfortable The fact the hotel room had Sky Sports was a bonus The breakfast/food in the morning was lovely and the choice of food was great The staff (chef & Megan especially) were helpful, attentive & really customer focused I would definitely like to return to the Sheffield Hilton next year for our trip to the Crucible 2014 The lack of a fridge in the room

The room was well equiped and layed out. We had a good night's sleep as the room was quiet. The television was difficult to control and the picture quality very poor.

The hotel was very comfortable and looked very nice and upto date Paying for parking there was nothing is said about this on there web site I think it is a bloody cheek to ask a paying customer at the hotel to be ask to pay for a parking space which as it turned out was not a sure thing that you got one even if you had payed upfront I will not be staying there again, and I stay in Sheffield a lot very dissaponted at this

The location of the hotel and the area it is in are very nice and convenient to get to. Bed was comfortable. Free parkingwas good for a city centre location. Fitness centre looked good but closed too early. The bedroom walls were paper thin - I could even hear the kettle boiling in another room. It was probably 2:00 am before things were quiet enough to sleep and then I was woken up at around 06:00am. The food in the bar was expensive and of mediocre, at best, quality. The area you could eat in had flickering lights - not a good experience. The costs for wifi are over the top and I could not access the free wifi in the lounge area, constantly going to a walled garden wanting money for access. About time these hotels were made to give wifi access to guests within the room rate as at £15 for 24 hours - you are paying half of the monthly access bill for the hotel I would imagine. Hotel decor is ageing quickly and the rooms are starting to look and feel tatty with finishes peeling off in the bathroom sink for example. Overall - I would not stay here again and certainly not think about staying on a busier night.

Location was ideal, staff were very professional and courteous, room was as good as you would expect from this chain, decent size bathroom. Really very good, and would stay here again. As a member of Hhonors I would hoped for free wifi, and even with a BT broadband account I couldn't get it working. Also many hotels offer free car-parking to guests but I had to pay extra which wrankles a little; it seems that all the hotels in some cities use each other as an excuse to charge extra; ("sorry sir, I think you'll find that all the hotels charge"). Bristol is another poor example of this. Show me a good hotel in Bristol or Sheffield with free parking and I will switch!

Comfortable rooms Extortionate bar prices! I am sure it is false economy as they would sell more if the prices were more reasonable!
