Hilton Sheffield  

Brilliant Breakfast .

We stayed at the Hilton, Sheffield in order to attend the European Figure skating Championships. The location was pleasant, being at canal quayside but not absolutely perfect for travelling to the Motorpoint Arena; tram only an 8-10 min walk away but route isolated and not suitable for our late evening return.however taxis not expensive and readily available. Staff at hotel very welcoming and helpful. Good to have bar meals available until 10.30pm.

Our stay was for six nights and as well as attending the skating event we wished to watch the last few days of the Australian open tennis tournament but were amazed to find that there were limited tv channels available in bedrooms and these didn't include Eurosport(also the channel covering the skating championships)

Good central location. Quiet, not too many children making noise, clean and comfortable.

For me the staff were very friendly and helpful. While we found the hotel bedrooms and reception areas in need of updating, the spa facility is good as is the hotel location.

As mentioned above the bedrooms and reception areas are somewhat tired and in need of updating

The room was comfortable, breakfast was lovely.

Rooms could be soundproofed more.

I stated when I made the booking that I wanted my room a way from the main road and traffic ,I got a room a way from the rood but I didn't realise it was a joint room till late at night when the person on the room beside me was on the phone the whole night that I wasn't able to sleep ,so I felt who ever did the booking didn't listen when I requested a quiet room ,this is the onlything I didn't like

Friendly welcome and service at reception. Spacious room with a very comfortable and large bed. Couldn't fault the food or service at breakfast. Overall a very enjoyable stay at a reasonable price.

All good. A little bit expensive. Parking charged but hotel doesn't assume any responsibilities if car gets robbed/damaged.

The staff at this Hotel were very friendly helpful and nothing was a problem to them, The room service was excellent, we asked for an upgrade and received it, well worth paying extra. We stayed for Bed & Breakfast which was one of the best breakfasts we have had and also ate in the bar and restaraunt and were not disappointed. A very high level of food and service. Always book Hilton if available always receive good service, many thanks to you you all and a merry christmas :)
