The position

The tea and coffee tray in the room was empty, we did not realise until we went to make a drink in the morning. The hotel is not what you expect for a Hilton.

The service was excellent. We dined in the restaurant and enjoyed this and two superb breakfasts.

Wine was overpriced at almost 9.00 at glass for Sauvignon blanc, which wasn't of the best quality!

The hotel is very dated and loud at night. We had a room with a barking dig next door and the hotel simply said "we do allow pets". Save money and stay at a premier in if you want a central and basic hotel

Location was good for the attractions we wanted to visit and every member of staff were excellent

Could barely get 5 channels on the tv. We booked a deluxe room thinking it would be more luxurious but I have stayed in much better budget hotel rooms at half the price. Our car was taken off site despite being told it was under the hotel and we were charged £17 for overnight parking which is scandalous. And to top it off there were drunk 20 something's being sick in the foyer on our return to the hotel at night. An absolute waste of money

The shower was terrible The bed was awful The bedding was awful too Breakfast was absolutely disgusting - the 'chef' couldn't even cook eggs - the alternative was scrambled eggs which resembled set conctrete - I asked for some bacon to be cooked for me well done and had to send it back a further twice, the pots of tea for four were terribly small, we were only able to have one glass of orange juice each. The receptionist managed to check me out without even speaking to me never min asking if I enjoyed my stay! We have stayed in hotels with higher and lower ratings! Costs per night than yourselves an much say I was extremely disappointed and feel terrible guilt that I suggested this hotel to my other two sets of friends which was expensive for them. Not a very good experience I'm afraid...

Poor food in "attached" American diner Bed corners of frame stick out and are "walked into" very easily

Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful modern room the welcome with my name on the tv screen! The furniture and room view. Clean towels and the decent size of them too! The honesty and helpfulness of the staff when I left my phone charger behind and they posted it on to me. (Poppy - head of housekeeping)

Shower could have had a bit more power and it would have been nice to have a small fridge for cooling soft drinks or wine.

Staff were first class and rooms were as we requested - low floor - as my parents, who were with us, are elderly.

Excellent staff - very friendly and helpful. The location was fantastic. Secure car-park. Facilities in the room were very good. I was worried that the room was going to be quite small after reading some comments, but it was spacious and well equipped.

A little noisy. There was a smell of smoke coming through the bathroom vent - I did report this and they said they would get maintenance to check so all good.

Hilton honours gave us an upgrade to a room with a balcony and view

Staff.

Bed. I never seen before bed with wheels You can't sleep easy bed moving. Not comfortable. You can hear next door what they are talking. Water very slow on the shower. Also hotel bed not same standard showing picture on booking.com.

From start to finish, the experience was superb, a pleasant & friendly welcome, help & guidance of places to see & how to get their, the food in the restaurant was delicious & very good value for money.I was with my friend on her 70th birthday, it could not have been better! I will take my husband & family back there in the near future.
