I liked how close it was to the shops. I liked the bed. That's it, sorry. I thought the staff were friendly but not that helpfull. Our room had a horrible smell, like damp. The TV had bad picture quality. |

The location is excellent Paid alot of money for the room which was nice but nothing special, poor view. Felt like Hilton where trying to get as much money out of you as possible, ie. car parking, breakfast (not worth it), bottled water in the room, newspaper in the morning. |

The location of the hotel in relation to the attractions and access to the motorways, link roads. Friendly staff, especially the staff at breakfast. The price of room service was very unjustified especially considering the quality of food serve. The food was at a very poor standard and it did not come with any or very little (one nob of butter) condiments, which we had to leave our room and sought for ourselves. You do not expect this for a hotel such as the hilton. |

tje closeness to attractions and reasonable prices the access to internet services. I used the smae providor in two other hotels during this trip. It is too slow and the web pages keep dropping out and a hotmail page appears so one needs to concel the hotmail page, after you work out how, then reload your search again. very time consuming and not a good service |

The staff were amazingly helpful and polite and the location of the hotel made it perfect for getting out and about. Drinks in the hotel bar were bordering on extortionate so we didn't spend alot of time there. Given the reputation of the hotel we were hoping for something a bit up market but the rooms were basic and not much different from any normal budget hotel. |

Close to the York attractions, the room was quite clean. Travelodge standard, so not very good value for money. Breakfast (£20 pp), parking (£15) and the internet (£15) all extortionate. They actually charged us for the car park even though we never used it, had to clarify it. They also put an invoice (incl. the car park charge) into my parents' room, which had been paid for already, and I didn't really want them to know the price, so that was a bit naughty. |

The porter came out the front of the hotel and helped with our bags all the way up to the room. The staff were very professional and nice. It was very difficult to get in touch with the hotel regarding booking a cot for our room. I contacted them through their website and also by phone only to be told that I needed to come back through booking.com as they could not change any details of our reservation. In the end it got sorted but it was a bit stressful not knowing if we had a cot or not. |
