Room was clean and warm. Although clean, the room and bathroom were tired looking. One of the worst breakfasts I've ever had. |

Staff responded quickly to complaints. Experience indicated extreme lack of attention to Health and Safety issues. Eg. Exposed electrical wiring. |

Annoyed that barman said he could only provide a bottle of the wine I requested - despite there being a half-full bottle on the bar. He then refused to allow me to charge drinks to my room without the card allocated at reception. Finally when I fetched the card he still refused to chrage the drink to my room because he's already taken the money. |

a very pleasent stay at the hotel, the staff were very friendly, we would stay there again if we visit that part of the country we would have liked a choice of bath or shower, we were given a room with a shower, and when we asked at the reception, the receptionist told us there were no more rooms available when we found later out there was, although the manager did offer us a room with bath but we had already unpacked and were settled in, also we had some sandwiches that were dry, other than that it was very good, the manager was very obliging, and breakfast was exellent. |

Good comfortable well equipped rooms. Excellent food value with very friendly restuarant staff Should amend the hotel service details found in the rooms to delete the facility of ordering your daily newspaper. This service no longer exists. Both main bar areas entirely dominated by Sky TV's |

When I rang Reception about the free internet, one of the staff kindly brought the information to my room to save me going down for it. This is one of several examples of the friendly service there. The room was very traditional, but with the mod cons of good TV, hair dryer etc. I really liked the slightly quirky layout of the room and the 'homely' feel. The decorator, painting the skirting in the halls, was very aware of what was around him and did not get in the way of guests. Mostly, the stay was good. A couple of small things: the scrambled egg at breakfast was salty and a bit grey. One of the waitresses, although very personable, seemed uncomfortable - and as if she needed more training / support. Which made us feel a bit uncomfortable for her. |

Friendly staff, and quiet location. Hotel is being refurbished, and new decor and flat screen TV's are good. Decent breakfast included in a reasonable price via booking.com Refurbishment is still ongoing, had a decorator outside the door. Room refurbishment very good in some areas, but does not apear complete with some fittings still shabby. |
