We stayed for 11 nights over the Christmas period, whilst visiting family in the local area. The decor of the rooms and actually the whole hotel are a little tired, but our room was clean, the bedlinen changed several times during our stay, and the bathroom cleaned daily. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. Although we stayed during party season, the room was quiet. For anyone wanting budget priced accommodation I would thoroughly recommend this hotel...
Price and room were very good. Very quiet location if that's what you are looking for.
Shower leaking onto floor due to plastic shower curtain.
very peaceful and quiet
THE SHOWER WAS LEAKING under the tray , AND WATER ALLOVER THE FOOR
All of it was a positive experience for me.
Nothing cheesed me off.
Ample free car parking Good location off main road But quiet
Heater not working so a bit on the cold side.
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. It's walking distance from two nice pubs and himley park.
The decor is a little outdated, however I feel it adds to the charm of the place
Staff & free car parking
Mattress needs replacing and heater did not work.
Quiet location and easy to find . Excellent food with good choice of wine .
Having view rooms etc on website they looked modern and clean but the room allocated for a single female business traveler was very tired looking and was on the ground floor which wouldn't normally be a problem but the room was so hot and stuffy I had to open windows rather than adjust temperature by aircon . The hotel has a good position but could really do with a 21st century makeover, however, I wouldn't expect price to remain at £30 per night and that included VAT !!
missing pieces of carpet insufficient pillows Dripping shower Poor condition of room
Location and it represented great value , shower hot and staff helpful
Cleanliness was ok but not brilliant
All staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to cater for our needs. We were visiting a sick relative and were desperate for a meal and although they were hosting a gala dinner in their function room, they opened their restaurant so we could have dinner. Food was excellent.
good location, good value for the price, tasty breakfast, friendly staff.
the bathroom needed up dating
No shower water was cold, couldn't have a bath water only trickling out, left over rubbish in room from previous guest
Quietness, pleasant surroundings & very pleasant friendly staff.
The staff at the reception were absolutely brilliant! From the man who we checked in with to the night staff!! Brilliant service!
Bed was a bit wonky but still very comfy!
Matteress needs changing Could have a shower as there was a flood from the room above and the water was freezing, had to hold a towel over our heads to have a wash and clean teeth as the water was coming through the roof, I had complained but only got a sorry, think I should have a refund I will complain
very good value and a good clean and comfortable room
we were disappointed that the restaurant was not open on a sunday
Cleanliness of bathroom Decor Heater not working Breakfast Fire doors not closing correctly Fire evacuation incorrect (Room 120 had the 2nd floor map ?)
Close to my family who I was visiting for Christmas.
Outdated. Marks on walls. Broken shower mat- Shower didn't even work. My auntie's heating didn't work in her room. And the toilet in my cousins room didn't flush.
First of all the room was okay but we had a leaky shower which was dripping all through the night room230 it was a big room took along time to warm up considering we paid £30 per night it was okay really
shower not working
Good breakfast available at a good cost and at a time required
Toilet cistern in room 204 requires attention takes too long to refill
The hotel was close to other amenities. The breakfast was value for money
The Hotel looked tired and was in need of some TLC. Our rooms were grubby and the bathrooms were in need of repair with mould and mildew. The furnishings were old fashioned and the bedrooms were tired and in need of an update. The Hotel seemed to be in a state of dis-repair.
