Strange bathroom facilities, no shower. No desk in room for business traveller. Poor meal selection. Staff no idea of customer satisfaction! |

The location and the grounds were very idyllic and restaurant set around a fish pond was lovely. The cleanliness of the room - especially bathroom areas was a little of putting. They needed a good deep clean as there was lots of built up grim in the bathroom and around the roll top bath area. |

The staff were all very friendly and attentive, beautiful setting, characterful and charming hotel, great breakfast! Not really, there was a bad odour coming from one part of the grounds adjacent to one of the buildings which may be a temporary problem, however I would stay here again without hesitation. |

Very pleasant, out of the way, location. Comfortable and stylish room. Room a bit over-crowded with furniture. |

This hotel was great! It has so much character! We stayed in the origional part of an old farm house with a beautiful antiques and a fireplace in our room. The bathtub was big enough for my husband to strech out fully and he is 6 feet tall. The restaurant was excellent. Great pasta and seafood. The breakfast was included and it wasn't just a buffet. We had hot food served from the kitchen. Our bed was squeeky. |

Staff very friendly. Good and copious breakfast. Nice, cosy and rustic hotel, situated in a quiet place in the middle of the English countryside, but close to the motorway. A slight smell from the sewer pipe on the outside of the room. |

The atmosphere, it is a hotel quite different to most Heating in the room did not turn on until 1730 and so when we returned at 1600 the room was very cold. We were given a heater to use until the timer switched on. |

The hotel is full of character and charm. Our room was delightfully quirky with the Victorian bath in the bedroom and the luxury of a real fire. Such a treat as the weather was quite cold. The staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the conservatory. The bed could have been more comfortable. |

Excellent food, lovely dining area, cosy lounge with open fire,4 poster bedroom with open fire and bathing alcove was very unique and most enjoyable.Definitely stay there again. Would like to have been advised that our room was not located within the hotel and a short walk, only 1 minute, was required to restaurant.Okay if weather dry otherwise take a brolly! |

The look of the building and the friendliness of the staff Rooms were slightly shabby and a little grubby in places. It was also quite out of the way. |

We loved the restaurant "the conservatory" and the waitresses were really on top of their game. The food was beyond amazing. The receptionist was very friendly and made our whole stay thoroughly enjoyable. |

We were lovely and warm, (even without the coal fire.) Lovely bathroom, supplies of tea bags and biscuits refreshed after the first night, We were blessed with beautiful weather and so had a lovely week-end. Very strong smell from the cess-pit system, nothing they can do I know, but a bit off putting as you get out of the car, or walk from the room across the car park to the dining room. |
