Hinton Grange Hotel

Goede locatie op tien minuten van de snelweg (m4). Prachtige omgeving. Kamers typisch Engels ingericht: romantisch, oog voor detail, matige badkamer. Gezellige sfeer door bar met open haard. Hartelijke ontvangst.

Britse badkamers zijn altijd (te) klein en waarom hebben ze toch geen behoorlijke (moderne) douches?

Room was large and bed big and high! Service good

Room was freezing on arrival and took a while to heat up even with the open fire and heaters. Having warmed up it was then cold again when we returned to the room (No 1) after dinner and the fire was out. Bathroom was cold throughout the stay, and the shower could have had warmer water. A shame because everything else was fine.

We had a wonderfull weekend the hotel rooms are really romantic and a really nice location for both walking and shopping

We felt the reception staff were excellant but waiting staff very poor left us waiting for drinks and clearing tables was very poor leaving us so long we gave up without dessert or coffee then breakfast was the same very young staff who need training they really need a course on service

Third time we've stayed at Hinton. Lovely comfortable, clean, rooms, real coal fire, victorian bath and good food in the restaurant. Set in lovely grounds too. Perfect for a romantic weekend away from it all.

Gardens very pretty, breakfast good and breakfast room very attractive conservatory with fish pond in middle.

The room was over reception, so heard front door slamming. Room was too dark, bed squeaky. It was quaint but did not like bath in room.

We felt we received individual and attentive service in a lovely setting. The food was absolutely outstanding and the hotel could not be faulted as good value for money. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone wanting a good place to stay in this area.

Our room, while quirky and different and very comfortable, smelled a little damp

All of the staff were friendly and obliging and tried hard to make our stay a good one. The food was delicious, and the Chef obviously enjoys his work and presents fresh food made with care and skill. The rooms and grounds were very relaxing and comfortable, and it was so pleasant to enjoy drinks beside the fish pond before our evening meals in the conservatory . Our room, a Victorian Room, was very cosy with an open coal fire, a bath alcove, and a comfortable sofa. The four poster bed looked very good, but the base looked as though it had been constructed by the handyman and would benefit from a vallance to hide the poor timber. However, this didn't matter as the mattress was firm and comfortable and provided an excellent nights sleep.

The shower holder was falling off the wall, and the cold water tap in the basin was very loose. However, neither detracted from our enjoyment of the hotel or its amenities, and as there were workmen carrying out refurbishing work in other rooms I suspect these minor faults will eventually be rectified.

The atmosphere and th friendkiness of the staff. I have already recommended it to my other collegues,they have tried to book in but it seems to full. It speaks for itself.

Quiet romantic hideaway, in which we would have liked to stay longer rather than overnight, as we had a flying visit to Bristol.

The room was designed to be 'quaint' which it was but it did not make it comfortable. It was dark and quite dirty and had an empty lager can behind a chair. There was also a damp smell about the room.

The privacy and comfort allowing you to relax in a quiet location and ejoying the unusual dining area.

The evening meal was overpriced for what was provided. No bed breakfast and evening meal package.

Strange bathroom facilities, no shower. No desk in room for business traveller. Poor meal selection. Staff no idea of customer satisfaction!
