Lodge Farm Bed & Breakfast, hotel in Hitchin

Lodge Farm Bed & Breakfast enjoys a location in Hitchin, 13 miles from Knebworth House and 15 miles from Hatfield House.

We stayed for three nights and had very good memories. The room is large and cozy, and the bed is extremely comfortable, which is very important in the rainy and humid British winter! The bathroom is super big and the supplies are very clean. The breakfast made by Bob and Caroline was thoughtful and perfect, thank you!

Hitchin is a lovely market town.

Hitchin is a lovely market town. Some of the shops have closed down since my last visit, which is a shame, but the pubs and selection of restaurants is outstanding. The atmosphere is always great in Hitchin and the people are extremely friendly.

Hitchin is a great vibrant market town with an abundance of independent places to eat and chill. There are also the major chain places to eat and drink if you are a little less adventurous. There are plenty of open spaces and playgrounds for the little ones. You can sit in the town square, relax, have a drink and watch the world go by. The locals are friendly and happy to chat and help. The train station is nearby and you can be in the centre of London in under an hour.

Based on a previous visit I loved Hitchin.

Based on a previous visit I loved Hitchin. However the weather was so hot that this time I spent most of it sitting in the dark in my friends living room trying to keep cool!! Hitchin has some lovely old buildings, a busy market, lots of places to eat and independent shops. It is within easy reach of London.

Room was nice and warm. Water and toiletries provided with a few biscuits to nibble on. A nice touch with a mint chocolate each on the bed. Very close to where we going and very close to the town. Thought there may be a problem with noise as our room faced the road however we didn't notice any traffic noise. Breakfast was good served nice and hot. Came into contact with 2staff who both were very pleasant and friendly. This will be our new go to hotel when we visit Hitchin.

The hotel is in one corner of the jungle very far from the town center. The room carpet had a lot of stains, bed was old and not comfortable to sleep in. the staff don't care about any feedback. The hotel is ideal for wedding guests, I would next time stay in the town center which was lovely with plenty of eating options.

The hotel is in Poor condition overall. The Bed is old and not comfortable. The shower did not work. The toilet seat was loose. Window curtains not washed for ages and had stains. The hotel is very noisy due to the bar below and drunk people everywhere. I did not feel safe. i would not stay or recommend it to anyone.

Breakfast was delicious - prompt service and freshly made. The room was spacious enough for 3 adults and was nicely set over 2 stories. Beds were comfortable and the linen smelt lovely. On-site car park. Hotel was close to the town centre and surrounded by restaurants and bars.

The room was basic and cosy - old fashioned, not a modern suite. Breakfast was served in the main building and offered everything I wanted, staff were lovely. Excellent value for money but not a posh hotel or premier inn. plenty of parking.

We only stayed for a fleeting visit 8pm- 5am - we chose this BnB because of its proximity to Luton airport and price compared to other local hotels. The owners were friendly, room was nice and shared bathroom sizeable and clean.
